Slight update:

I haven't been able to get Twine to cooperate with me. Sadly, I have reached the end of my rope, trying to get it to work.

As such, I'm going to be using Ren'Py, as I'm more familiar with its system, and I'll have an easier time making it work.

Today, I'll be moving stuff over to there. Luckily, I'm only on the writing portion, and don't need to add any CGs or anything yet.

This means that Sac7 is going to be formatted more like a visual novel, with sprites and such. While not what I planned, as the art is going to take a while to get together, I'm not unhappy with this turn of events.

Once I get the writing and most the programming done, I'll release a demo version without art. I'm hoping to have that out in October.

Since I live with a ton of immunocompromised people, we're going to be quarantining until at least August, since once restrictions are lifted, there's likely going to be a spike in cases. This means that I'll be stir-crazy, but I'll also be able to devote more of my time to working on Sac7 than I had previously.

I'll try to update here more often, but I can't guarentee that I'll be super active.

Plot

Industrialization has taken over. Smog invades everyone's lungs. People are worked to death. That's not the point. We're focusing on a much, much more specific issue.

Inex, a depressed young man, is constantly having nightmares of his own death. He has as long as he can remember.

Working a dead-end job at a gas station, things change when Fale, a man so sweet he'll rot your teeth, gets hired. Fale quickly starts to cling to Inex.

Sola, his liscenceless doctor, certainly isn't helping at all. In fact, he seems to be clinging on more as well, and those meds Inex takes seem to be making things worse.

Play through the last week of Inex's life, and try not to die horribly.

This isn't love, nor is it romance, just the story of a lamb being sacrificed.

Inex, Fale, and Sola (without and with glasses), the main cast!

Inex is depressed and the stereotypical elitist goth. He keeps having really realistic dreams about himself dying...

Fale, Inex's new coworker, has definitely killed. He will definitely kill again. Also, he's clingy towards Inex and sickly sweet. Gross.

Sola is... Shall we say, "driven". A back-alley doctor who often lowers his prices for those who will participate in his "trials". He and Inex get along well.
