" omg !! lewis is joining ferrari and is fulfilling the last part of senna's legacy !! " YES , but , lewis is doing a fucking schumacher . joins a ferrari thats *okay*, nothing too spectacular , had some faint championship hope but its not pulling the championship in close enough ( irvine / berger , leclerc / sainz ) . is recruited by an incredible TP whos worked in other series with great results ( todt at peugot , vasseur in gp2 ) , recruiting some genuine engineering talent ( brawn , newey ) . lewis has found himself in the pathways of two of the most iconic figures in formula one , continuing the path of one while emulating the path of the other , and its almost poetic that he can live this out .

I'm actually super pissed about this Williams thing and need to rant. What's the point in having TWO drivers if you're not ever going to let Logan prove himself. What was the point in signing him for a second season. Are we really going to forget that ALEX has wrecked at the same damn corner for two years in a row and you're telling me that you want him to drive over your second driver. Alex better get fucking points or this was goddamn ridiculous. You've got a second driver for a reason why punish him and not the one who fucked it up. What do you think this does to your drivers confidence who JUST came out and said on F1TV hes been building up his confidence and body to perform better for this weekend but nahhhhh leta forget that and punish him for not doing anything wrong

As much as I love Alex and want him to drive. But honestly, that's just straight up bullying. I've always thought of Williams as the team that actually treats their drivers well but I've been proven wrong today. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in anything F1 related (I'm a Ferrari fan, so that means something). Justice for Logan!

logan buddy i hope through some twist of fate you get on the podium next race and use that chance to express the sentiment how this is not too shabby for a number two driver - or some statement of the sort - over the radio

This is how you kill a driver's career.
There's no use telling everyone you have faith in Logan and that you promoted him too early into F1 last season and you're fully behind him when clearly you're not
This is going to show Logan and everyone with a pair of eyes that the team doesn't have faith in him. It'll seriously impact what career opportunities he may get, let alone the culture within the team. This is on par with some of the horrible things Ferrari did with Schumacher and Barrichello back in the day

Nico Rosberg informs teammate Lewis Hamilton of the seriousness of Jules Bianchi’s accident
It was actually very surprising and wonderful to me to see these two rivals, who previously seemed to detest standing next to each other, come together for a handshake, slight embrace, and chat following their extremely competitive drive. They seemed to be returning, if only temporarily, to their old friendship, and them coming together like this, and Nico’s somber expression, really re-established how close-knit this sport and these drivers are .

the whole bianca situation is so haywire. I'll try to compress my thoughts on it in a few pointers;
1. let's start with the very obvious. i mean we know she's young and stuff, but you're 18. you're a public figure. you're under the drivers development programme for one of the well known teams of f1. you know you have a fan following, you know people look up to you, you should know better.
2. it wasn't a single post. yes that post in particular was extremely offensive. but liking all those tweets about lance stroll isn't gonna make you look quirky or edgy. nor is it going to help you build up a steady career if your first instinct (very childish) is to shit on a driver who's literally already driving in f1 and has enough records to prove all your silly likes wrong ✋🏾.
3. that apology. oml. what was that. using the “my brother has autism“ as an excuse ? and the whole thing about accidentally liking the post when she didn't (the original creator just deleted the post). at least sound like you're apologetic, take up the blame and promise to do better.
with all that being said,
4. i know i don't completely understand the effect her actions have had on those who who of her fans that are autistic , or anyone who looked up at her, finally being happy with mclaren's choice of including her in their programme, but we need to understand formula 1 is an extremely male dominated sport with drivers who all have done or said the most cancellable shit ever and they've gotten away scot free. so before hate tweeting vigorously about how she doesn't deserve an f1 seat ever. give her the same treatment you'd give the men in this sport who have said things like this or worse. it's not to pick sides or to an excuse, but ,people have this terrible habit on hating on women with so much passion it fuels into pure hate and disregard. this situation has escalated to a point people on twitter go like "don't give this women or any women a seat in f1, they will ruin it." . yes. hold bianca accountable for her actions , but don't use this instance to generalize all women striving hard in this sport to leave a legacy. don't use this one instance , one bad example of one female driver to discredit every female driver in the motorsport.
of course if she never learns from her mistake, by all means, the discontent is completely valid and you can channel it in everyway you deem necessary. but she's a human , she makes mistakes. i hope we can all find it in us to forgive and deal with this in a humane manner if she manages to actually grow from this mistake and never repeat it.

In their own words
-> Quotes aren’t strictly in chronological order
-> All those people in those old photographs I've seen are dead, and in the end, I'd do it all again, I think you're my best friend. - Fall Out Boy
