how do you like the new season of young royals🥮

yr s3 spoilers ahead!

oh my god it drove me CRAZY in the best way. it was so hard to see wille and simon going through hell in their own ways, and to see simon losing himself in trying to keep himself afloat in this new world whilst wille tried to balance everything. i’ve always been the BIGGEST wille defender, and his character was so wonderfully written to truly depict the way anxiety and familial issues affect everything around you, and his birthday scene made me scream.

not only plot wise, but the cinematography of the final episode was so insanely beautiful— as a film student it had me gasping and screenshotting almost every moment it was just so ethereal. as for the plot, i’m so happy wille finally abdicated for himself and realised it has to be about him, not just simon. i’m so happy sara and felice made their amends, and i was honestly super happy with how sara and august ended, because she did love him, but her feelings for felice and simon are so much more important!

i loved the stedrika and walty implications, but i do wish we had a little more from stedrika with that much build up. aside from that, i was OVERJOYED. so sad it’s over. the soundtrack was also immaculate. please tell me your thoughts!

no but it’s actually crazy to me how many casual viewers of cobra kai (and even fellow freaks on tumblr.com i guess) HATE sam??? i truly do not get it at all! because every single flaw they find in her is something they will praise in another character. she’s 17 years old and she’s trying to fit in at school after YEARS of her father telling her what a terrible time he had (which, i don’t blame daniel at all for being worried about his kids getting bullied when you know what he lived through) and yeah okay, it isn’t cool of her to have played bystander in aisha’s bullying but that’s not why men in fucking youtube comments and reddit hate her lmao. they don’t give a shit about aisha nor do they give a shit that sam apologized and tried to take the first step towards her friend.

is it about robby and miguel? because sure, not cool of sam to kiss miguel but also???? she was drunk at a party and felt extremely bad about it and wanted to talk to robby but didn’t get the time to.

and like, all of these are very normal mistakes for a young person to make and very relatable mistakes too?? it makes sam a flawed, realistic character with messy feelings and messy relationships who ALWAYS tries to do the right thing and is often punished for it by either the narrative or the fans of the show (sometimes even both)

why are so many people cheering for her pain? why are they happy that she’s traumatized and crying and broken down. she’s a kid.

unpopular opinion but it was not amanda larusso's fault that tory lost her job. was she a little out of line showing up at her place of work? sure, but she had no other way to contact her, and she really didn't cause a scene. tory was fired because she lost her cool at someone that wasn't even mrs larusso and had a continuously bad attitude, as her manager stated. and robby was so real for calling out what tory was even trying to achieve for breaking into the larusso's house
