Did I really conceive an Ascendance of a Bookworm AU for Lupin III?

Yes I did.

Character details under the cut:

Lupin III: A free-spirited, womanising brigand who robs from the nobility not only to frighten them and get his hands on their riches, but also to treat his chronic condition, the Devouring. He further vents his mana by performing spells to aid his heists; the Lupin family are the only known practitioners of illusion magic, which he uses to disguise himself and his companions among other dirty little tricks.

Jigen: An expert marksman, crackshot with a bow and a crossbow, who was raised to be a soldier and was willing to devote himself to that life until he met Lupin. It was then that he realised what he really wanted was something - or someone - to believe in, and to give him freedom from the life laid out before him. He is now Lupin's most faithful partner, and tends to him when the Devouring becomes too much.

Fujiko: A merchant's daughter who always felt she was meant for greater things, and set out to trick and seduce her way into riches as soon as she came of age. She has been many nobles' mistress, and will join forces with Lupin when she wants to skip that trouble and get straight to the fortune, but has no qualms about betraying him if it benefits her.

Goemon: The disowned son of a noble family, who turned against his family and took up the life of a brigand by Lupin's side after the silver-tongued thief helped him realised how evil the people he served truly were, although he retains a taste for fine foods and clothing. His sword Zantetsuken is a magical weapon, capable of cutting through anything when filled with mana.

Zenigata: A faithful soldier serving the nobility, even in full understanding of what terrible people they can be, who is dedicated to apprehending Lupin and bringing him to justice. His hope is that he can set a good example and demonstrate to the world that it's possible to live an honest, happy life, although part of him longs for the freedom Lupin has stolen for himself.

Yata: A former grey-robed priest who was assigned by his master to aid Zenigata during an investigation following one of his temples' artifacts being stolen. This caused him to discover an interest in solving crimes and catching criminals, so he escaped his life of religious servitude and now works for Zenigata, following him everywhere and helping his pursuit of Lupin.

My headcanons for the rest of the Gavinners based on what I think would be funny

Larry "Laurice Deauxnim" Butz, the drummer and a courtroom sketch artist. He also does all their album artwork. Larry is the drummer because a rock music stereotype is the drummer is the wild one who gets babes.

Sebastian Debeste, the keyboard player and a prosecutor. They also play piano sometimes. Their androgyny has launched dozens of ship wars in the Gavinners' rabid fangirls because they're too young and straight to know what 'non-binary' means.

Kaydon LeBlanc, the bassist. Easily the most mysterious of the band. Nobody knows about his private life or his legal profession… because that's actually Kay Faraday, Private Eye, who poses as a guy because she loves to do a little trolling.
