We all agree that at least one-sided Buddie is pretty much canon now?

If you look at the first few episodes with Eddie in a new canonically bi buck light it is SO EVIDENT. He pretty much did the same thing he's done with Tommy but up a 100 times. The only difference is that he's done it with a man who is at least right now convinced he is straight and who did not clock into his behavior or the reasons behind it.

I am still not convinced they'll ever give us Buddie but I am way more than satisfied because out of the 2 Buck was always the one who projected queer vibes and this development in his storyline is incredibly organic.

Also Tommy is just perfection for him and I am 100% here for this relationship, I truly hope we'll see it develop and grow.

un po’ di cose su un professore (principalmente i simuel) da una profana che prima dell’ultima puntata aveva “visto” solo gifs:

- i mimmone sono molto cute e mimmo è bellissimo personaggio ma la chimica simuel è di un altro livello

- nessuno mi convincerà mai che gavino e maupas non stiano recitando da innamorati tra loro, specialmente maupas che paradossalmente ha il personaggio che si è innamorato di un altro

- ma almeno simone ha un altro. la relazione di manuel non ha alcuna vibe romantica e lui sembra molto più fraterno con nina che con simone. sicuramente tiene a lei, ma again con lei più che avere un legame sentimentale sembra avere assunto una presa di posizione di giustizia sociale. long story short gavino secondo me non ci sta manco provando a fare l’innamorato di un’altra

- la scrittura della serie sembra aver separato i simuel apposta e non ditemi che non è vero. prima manuel dice “ce sto io co te” e poi lo lascia solo in ospedale de notte col padre privo di sensi. ma per piacere dai. palesemente lo sceneggiatore bifobico (e qua non scherzo, la sua intervista è ignobile) non vuole che quei due pazzi restino da soli insieme sennò i suoi sforzi di scriverli da fratellini vanno in fumo

- dante è un prof cringe e lo dico da prof

- claudia pandolfi è bravissimissima

Quindi ci scordiamo i Simuel perchè abbiamo deciso che due ghei protagonisti era too much? Uno gay va bene però l'altro deve fare il teenage heartthrob per le ragazzine a casa?

Conosco very well il mio paese e soprattutto la Rai e sentire gli attori che zigzagano attorno alla parola gay o amore quando gli si chiede del rapporto Simone-Manuel non promette bene specie se comparati con l’original girato nel paese più gay friendly d’europa dove alla 6 puntata sapevamo persino nelle specifiche quale zozzeria Pol e Bruno avessero combinato. 

Ma i ragazzi sono attori meravigliosi e voglio credere che nel 2022 ce la facciamo a diventare un paese in grado di avere una serie come Merlì a casa nostra

I know my country and especially the TV channel the show is on very well and hearing the actors going round in circles around words like gay and love when asked about Simone and Manuel doesn’t promise anything good especially when compared to the original (shot in probably the most gay friendly country in europe) where by mid season we were even aware of who did what with Bruno and Pol. But the guys are incredible actors and I wanna believe that in 2022 we can be a country capable of having a series like Merlì reproduced decently

So are we like supposed to believe an incredibly attractive golden hearted late twenties man with a good job living in a city with millions of women has trouble finding ONE sweet girl who will date him? Yes ok. If we’re going for the most unlikely scenario might as well just give us Buddie because that’s for sure a lot more likely than this poor old Buck can’t find a girl who wants him s**t

I don't get people who want abby and buck together. Most of these people know if buck was a real person, they would never want their friend to get back with the person who ghosted them. I love my best friend's girlfriend with all my heart, but if she did my best friend the same way that abby did buck, I'd punch him in the throat before he could get back with her (okay joking, but I would be very cold towards her because of the heartbreak she'd cause him). I mean think about what buck said "You don't know what it's like to watch someone you love walk away." Now does this comes from years of abandonment issues? absolutely right! But it doesn't help that abby added onto this feeling and now people want them back together (and don't even get me started on the things being said about buddie)

Like you're so against two men loving each other and raising a child together that you're rooting for buck and Abby, the girl who ghosted him (which was a shitty move, even if she left for her mother and to find herself)? Make it make sense. Even if Eddie wasn't apart of the show, I wouldn't want abby back and I'm pretty sure that's how most of us feel. Because we care about buck's feelings outside of buddie and eddie. I just don't get it.

why did berlin kiss palermo if he’s straight?

i feel like that scene was beautifully written and had many layers to it, not just the answer to Berlin’s sexual orientation. I’ve always seen Berlin as someone who isn’t bothered by how society defines him in any way shape or form; to him sexuality is probably more about getting someone’s undivided attention and being able to seduce them, which is why Palermo’s feelings are so intoxicating to him; he gets off on having someone so devoted to him. You have 2 ways of seeing the kiss; either Berlin is actually only attracted to women and kisses Palermo to show him that he isn’t afraid of being with a man but he just isn’t interested; OR he is attracted to Palermo and could very easily have a relationship with him, but he doesn’t want to because he probably is one of the few people who would truly be his weakness and not just a doll to play with like his wives and other women have been. 

The whole ‘mitocondria’ thing is also confusing... basically mitocondria are a tiny component of cells; they do have a tiny bit of DNA which is always inherited by your mother, but they don’t define your gender at all, men and women and all other organisms have mitocondria, what dfines a male or a female is the fampus X or Y chromosome which would have been a much more fitting thing to mention; on the other hand people have been speculating Berlin was actually talking about his illness (which is genetically inherited) and that would be the main reason he pushed Palermo away, but only after confessing to him that they’re soulmates and that their emotional bond is unlike anything else.

Low key very disappointed Berlin is canonically straight. He’s the king of the “i’ll fuck anyone that is aesthetically pleasing to me and gives me attention” so him being bi would have made so much more sense.

On one hand it does make it harder if the actors are against it; on the other unless the actor has some major leverage (is a widely known name that attracts viewers eg orlando bloom, brad pitt etc) they don’t have that much freedom when it comes to their character, they can put their 2 cents on it but at the end of day the writers decide where the storyline goes.

I feel like the real reason it won’t happen is the fear of losing the casual viewers who would be ‘wierded out’ by having the 2 main straight guys ‘becoming gay’.

Sometimes I get the feeling that the only real reason why buddie won't become canon is that the actors are not comfortable with it. It makes sense to me to move their stories in that direction. They can give us Buck 2.5 and Eddie 2.0, but I guess if the actors don't want to do it because it's not what they agreed on when they first got the job then there's nothing we can do
