Chapter 2

Tick, tick, tick...

Soundwave sat across both Illusion and Starscream, the pregnancy test laying on the table.

....

"When we're you going to tell us?" StarScream asked. Soundwave looked away nervously. "/Thought: Soundwave didn't think you'd be happy about this./" He spoke. Illusion sighed heavily before walking over to him. "《Maybe but, if you do intend to keep them, let us help you atleast...》" Illusion said awkwardly. Soundwave looks at her, surprised. "/Question: You're gonna help me?/" StarScream scoffed as he went over and sat next to him. "Of course we'll help. We had each other's back during the war, why would we just abandon you for having a sparkling?"StarScream spoke in a soft tone. "/I thought that due to our situation, you wouldn't-/" "《HEY! We may not have the greatest living conditions but don't you ever think that we'd ask you to abort your unborn child!》" Illusion yelled. Soundwave felt tears forming, causing him to let out small whimpers and cries. StarScream patted his back as he hugged him as Illusion did the same. "/Thank you both.... for understanding.../" Both Illusion and Starscream smiled as they comforted their sparked friend. "Hold up- who's the dad?" StarScream asks.

Bzzt Bzzt Bzzt Bzzt

Flashes of light and electric shocks were made as Shockwave was working on his latest experiment. He quietly worked in his lab as silence filled the room. -Bzzt- Shockwave put down his tools as the sound of his phone started ringing again. "Who would be calling me at this hour?" Shockwave tapped his phone to answer the call as he decided to work on some reports in his computer. "Hello, this is Shockwave."

....beep

Shockwave waited for someone to answer, but the call had ended. Shockwave looked over his phone, confused. It was Soundwave. He wondered why he called.

Soundwave was crying into his servos, his phone lying in between his legs. Starscream was trying to comfort him as Illusion spoke to him softly. "《You have to tell him-》" "/I can't! What if he doesn't accept them!?/" Soundwave cried. Illusion sighed heavily. "《Fine! We don't tell him then.》" Illusion patted his back as Soundwave cried against her.

It was late at night....

Soundwave was returning from his latest gig at a club, which surprisingly did make their promise in paying him well for his music. He could care less if they didn't give him much, but right now, he needs it more than ever. Soundwave held his bag closely to his chassis, feeling the same feeling from a while ago. It was a few days ago when he felt sick. His roommates tried to find out what was wrong, but no luck. Soundwave was waiting in the bathroom, a pregnancy test in his hand. He didn't want to believe he would carry after his 'recent' activity from the day before. He barely got away when his roommates asked where he had been all night. Soundwave felt his spark drop when the result came positive. He didn't know what to say to his roommates since it's already difficult to live due to their conditions. He buried the pregnancy test deep in the trash can, hoping that they wouldn't notice it once they throw it out. He took a deep breath as he walked out of the bathroom. "Move Soundwave! Damn! What takes you so long to use the bathroom!?" He moved out of the way as one of his roommates, StarScream, walked into the bathroom. He heard the sounds of dishes clinking with each other, a small hiss erupting from a pot. His second roommate, Illusion, pulled the pot out of the stove before setting it on the side. "《Morning, Soundwave...》 She yawned as she looked towards him. "/Morning Illusion/" Illusion poured some energon coffee for herself before getting another cup and giving it to Soundwave. Soundwave pushed it away. "《What's up?》" She asked. Soundwave rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "/I still don't feel really well.../" Illusion shrugged as she grabbed the cup and set it aside for StarScream to drink later. "《Whatever you say pal...》" She quietly drank from her cup as Soundwave began eating some energon. "《Busy tonight?》" Illusion asked. Soundwave nodded since he apparently got hired for a DJ gig that night. "/Get a gig tonight./" Illusion rolls her optics as she finishes the rest of her drinks. "《Don't forget your keys this time.》"

That's how he ended up having to stay late at night to gather enough money to possibly move out. But due to his 'flaw', there wasn't a possibility that he's be able to find an apartment that was cheap. He silently walked back to his apartment complex, his helm down. He quietly took the keys out of his bag as he tried jamming the stupid key in the lock. After a few tries, he opens the door quietly. He knew well that it was late and waking either of his friends up would result in them being pissy in the morning. Soundwave walked silently through the living room, not sensing the other two's presence until the lights came on. Soundwave stopped in his tracks, his helm quickly looking towards his two friends, seeming to have been waiting for him. Illusion held the pregnancy test up high as StarScream had his arms crossed, both glaring at him.
