I am having a quiet day today. Out in the garden, bathing in the sun and reading about my favourite character, Sherlock Holmes. The sun is good today, and well set around 8 in the evening. This is why I love the summer.
I am also a winter lover, but then again, I do love all of the seasons.

Rereading mystery/crime books is one of my favourite pastimes. Because you know the solution of the mystery and you know how the book ends, it will be easier for you to catch the little hints that are hidden through the narration and the dialogues. Love it!

A picture from today’s morning. Whenever I am not studying, I am reading.
I am currently reading The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes because I am might be a wee bit obsessed with Sherlock. And when I say ‘wee bit’…oh boy. (I blame Benedict Cumberbatch)
I may study later this evening because I have a schedule to stick to.
Today’s good so far, fortunately. I hope life is treating you nicely.

Genuinely can’t stand the new favouritism towards video format. You want me to spend a whole two minutes listening to someone say out loud a paragraph I could read in 20 seconds?
(This is about tiktok. I hate tiktok.)

I feel so productive today. I've wanted to read this particular article ages ago and I've postponed reading it long enough. It's about the association between the SLC6A4 gene (also known as the serotonin transporter gene) and schizophrenia.
The last couple of weeks I've been unable to study due to some issues but when I resolved them I didn't find the energy to study. And thus, this blog is made. I made this blog with the intent of sharing with you my journey as a genetics student. And I'm sticking to my words—it helps me get motivated to get things done.
Anyway, how is your day?

“Romanticise studying” is a really one helluva advice, thanks. I will be looking at my books and feel the pull.
POV: You wanna but you don't wanna study

There’s nothing like taking one of your favourite books to a coffee shop and just lose yourself in real life ambience.
The Greatest Show on Earth by Richard Dawkins is about evolution and its glaring evidences (yes, multiple). Although the book’s target audience is people who are skeptical about evolution, it’s a great read if you want to armour your brain with knowledge, facts and rebuttals, especially because it’s so easy to fall into the whole ‘evolution is a fact/it’s just a theory’ argument.
I am an outspoken evolution enthusiast because it is a scientific fact. And genetics confirms it and I’m all down for that!
