It finally got me.

Had the misfortune of catching covid for the first time last week. Thank the gods I was up to date on vaccinations - still ended up knocking me down for a good couple of days like a bad flu. I should be up an running again before this week is through on commissions - thank you all for your patience!

is Maistacia your canon Tav/Durge? i think she’s so cool!! do you have any other Tavs/Durges with distinct storylines?

She's def my most favorite, so for now I would consider her my canon playthrough. I have 2 other durge characters actually, my first being Malik (the first left).

Malik is lawful evil and the oldest of them. The only reason he wants to be free of Bhaal is because he finds his father's ways mindlessly barbaric. Also, he prefers to indulge his homicidal tendencies on his own time with less mess. His vision is to run the cult with his own ideals.

Krios is chaotic evil/neutral(?) and the youngest. He struggles the most with the urges. He doesn't know where he begins and where he ends. He often resigns himself to the curse because it's all he knows, and tries to convince himself this is what he wants. The consequence of that is it makes him miserable and he doesn't know why.

thank you for your art tips advice! i do have a question about references - how do you find poses that match what you have in your head? especially poses that feature nudity and sexual positions?

i tend to use reference images from pinterest but i feel that can be limiting maybe?

Of course! I hope they were helpful in some way.

Hmm this is a good question. Often more than not, I make up poses on the fly. I don't recommend it, because it could take you way longer to work on piece, than if you had a ref.

When I do use refs, but can't find a good ref for what I have in mind, I Frankenstein it - what I mean by that is, taking pieces of different refs and using it. Let's say you like how the bottom half a pose is situated, but the rest isn't what you want. Look for a ref with an ideal torso pose and use both to create the ideal pose.

As for poses that feature nudity and sexual positions - pinterest is def not a good place for that. I know a lot of artists use porn for sexual positions refs, but I understand if that isn't comfortable to look up. For just nudes I suggest these links:

Maybe this is a weird to say but you seem to churn out commissions pretty fast imo. How?? let me know your secret??

lol but fr - I use to work under pretty unreasonable (insanely stressful, often unpaid) deadlines, so it's hard not to get them done as soon as possible.

This does not relate to those who commission me, they were very sweet and never imposed any harsh deadlines etc.

The Ascension, from Astarion's POV:

I’m sure you’ll make the right decision, she had said that fateful day, as they prepared to face Cazador.  He had, he thinks, but not when it came to her. Not when he saw her expression as he carved Cazador’s back, not when he could feel her fear, her judgment, through the tadpole.  He could smell the blood, the sick-sweet-tang of it rousing his stomach for what was to be the last time, could hear his master’s screams - but none of that mattered. What had was that feeling that passed from her to him: her love receding like the tide, replaced by a myriad of negative emotions: unnamed, fleeting, but all-encompassing; as if her love was so shallow, so conditional, a toe out of line and he was discarded yet again. She had stopped seeing her lover, then; she had seen a monster where he once stood. Then a monster he would be, he thought, as Rhapsody sliced through Cazador’s back.  That sentiment didn’t abate as he took his rightful place, Woe in his grasp. Even as power flowed into his veins, even as his heart began to beat faster, that was still on the forefront of his mind.  Had he lost her?  No. She lost me.  Bitterness and anger had suffused him, as surely as that newfound vigour of his heart and the rush of his now-altered blood did. How dare she - how dare they - wrest this from him? This was his moment of triumph, two centuries of pain leading to this, what he deserves what he is owed - The very first moments as the Ascendant, each full and purpose and power and freedom; it should have been glorious. And it was. Or it would have been, if she didn’t look at him that way. If he didn’t know exactly what she thought of him. Thus the mask went back on, perhaps forever. What did it matter? He was - “- free. I’m finally free! Oh it feels delicious.” Ban approached him, expression wary. “Not sure I like the sound of that.” Immediately he wanted to snap at her, to scream. Freedom, everything he’d ever wanted, and she says that? Instead he smiled, cold and all teeth. “Oh don’t worry, darling. I won’t bite unless you ask very, very nicely.”
