I think we all moved on from c!tubbo and c!ranboo's marriage too soon. That marriage had everything someone could want. Tender support through hard times. Disability 4 disability love. Propensity for crime. Weird little child. Batshit crazy third wheel (tommy). Willingness to both die and kill for each other. Undying devotion. Fucked up vibe. Toddler parents. Height difference. Ranboo's "alien's first day on earth trying to be human" energy. Tubbo's energy that I can only describe as "smiley face but squashed and evil." Ranboo constantly making tubbo new equipment and tools. Nukes. Idk what else. And then being exactly the same on the origins smp just more evil.

Im ngl im confused on why i keep seeing post related to the "dsmp fandom is dying!!!" Its.... not? Its been alive an still is alive??? Theres still consistent artist, books, comics, videos, xyz still being made by fans today. Its not dead, an its not really dying either. Just because there may be less, doesnt mean dsmp as a fandom is dead. If you wanna stop thinking its dead, contribute! Thats what fandoms all about baby.

Another reason im confused is that its not an "old" fandom either. Yes, i grew up with it in a crucial part of my life, but that doesnt mean its old. Old is fuckin- idk. Lord of the rings fandom. Star trek. That shit is old to me. Not dsmp??? Hell, team crafted even isnt THAT old. An it was kinda at the start of minecrafts life to begin with!! Yogscast too!! Theyre older, but still, not really that old.

I get that a lot of audience were also like me. Grew up around 15-20 with dsmp being a big portion of their life during lockdown (obvs theres differences in many ppls pov's, but a lot of accounts had posted similar feelings to mine, this is why i make the general assumption.) Yeah, life was weird around that time, an the lockdown making peoples time perceptions funky, its gonna feel older than it actually is.

I dunno. I just wanted to ramble bc it just makes me sad to see people talk about dsmp as if its dead an rotting away when its not. It may not be continuing anymore, but theres still so much damn life in that bad boy.

c!techno and food and the rules of hospitality is so interesting to me because he shows a lot of care and love through food. he comes to pogtopia and creates a potato farm to feed his new allies, he gathers dandelions to make suspicious stew with saturation so these new friends stay fuller longer. he keeps food on him and gives golden carrots to c!ranboo when they need it.

and minecraft as a medium for storytelling is perfect to show this aspect of a character, food as a love language if you will, because a core mechanic of the game is food and eating! it was honestly such a small but brilliant character choice and i applaud cc!techno for it.

I still think they should make a netflix documentary on it and I mean the whole thing so far the video essays on it kind of failed to capture the DSMP in it's entirety. Like they'd talk about the 'main storyline' and then skim over everything else and that really does a disservice to the whole thing. I think that server should be a case study in like how adolescent creativity was impacted by the pandemic because there's really no way to recreate what was a bunch of young adult gamers and making them do theater.
