If you think a poll asking singlets if they’d become a system is offensive, does that mean you’re against endogenic systems (because they’re effectively “singlets who became systems” at least as SysMeds put it)?

no - this blog has always welcomed all systems, as our intro post says!

that being said, when one group of systems finds something offensive, we want to listen to them because we don’t want anyone coming here and feeling upset. seeing as the post caused so much controversy, we found it was better to just remove it entirely.

(we won’t be responding to too many more asks about this situation, as we are at work and don’t want to clog our followers’ feeds with this situation - hopefully this answers a lot of the asks we’ve been getting 💙)

regarding the poll from the other day

hi all,

we wanted to make a quick post to let you all know that we decided to take down the poll asking singlets if they would choose to become a system. it was a poll submitted to us, and truthfully we were a little apprehensive about posting it because we felt it might be insensitive, but ultimately we decided to post it in hopes of it spawning some interesting discussion, like with the poll asking systems if they would choose to be singlets. but that is not an excuse; we are responsible for curating this blog and choosing what we should or should not post. we should have just not posted it - that is our mistake.

we are, of course, a system as well, so we understand all of the points we read in the reblogs. we never would have posted it if we knew that it would offend people in the way that it did. we want to apologize to anyone who was upset by the poll - we should have known better, and we’re sorry. thank you to anyone who responded with genuine criticism towards the poll.

we’ll take much better care to not post polls like that in the future. thank you for reading and have a great day <3
