Happy Sunday lovely people! Are you up to something nice today? I have been organising my beauty desk and today in the blog I have shared a post about the new MACStack mascaras from @maccosmeticsuk. Im always looking for the best options for mascaras as I don't like to use fake eyelashes and I don't like to apply like 8 layers of product to the point of having two spiders on my eyes. Well MAC came with two types of mascara, basically different type of brush. 🍭Mega Brush: This one has a brush that is thinker at the base and thinner at the ends creating a good angle for the curl and lift mostly the lashes at the edge, if you are more up to dramatic big eyelashes look this is one is great. 🍭Micro Brush: This one was actually my favourite, why? My eyes are quite deep that my lashes easily touch the lids and on top of that my lashes are short so many times I find hard to apply a mascara without doing a mess on trying to touch the skin, in my case I really need to build up specially from the inner edge with a big brush is impossible, on top of that for everyday use i much prefer a natural look. I really loved both, the Mega Brush I would use it for those moments I have no time so two layers and I'm done while the micro brush is like the perfect shape for my type of eyes and lashes and allows me to give the shape I want. Keep in mind they are not waterproof but so far they don't flake or smudge. I was quite pleased specially because is the first time I try a MAC Mascara.

Sunday of book recommendations, this one in particular was like a box of chocolates for me, I didn't read it in one go I really took my time, I used to read one chapter or topic per day as a relax moment to stop thinking about work, was good fun to everyday discover a new fashion moment or idea that we still use these days.Fashion was born and developed through time thanks to ideas, cultural movements, music, technology ... everything that is interconnected and is reflected in new fabrics, patterns, accessories, shoes, handbags, colors, shapes. 100 Ideas that changed Fashion by Harriet Worsley is a fascinating book that make us discover all those moments that became iconic in the history of fashion.The full review is on the blog but so far this is a must have for any fashion lover out there!

Spaturday of face masks. When you have prone to acne,oily, combination skin or just having a good detox clay masks are a great option, BUT! first abusing of them can actually harm the skin, also checking out the ingredient list is vital as many of them could be quite harsh and cause a break out. My skin is combination and very sensitive so it has really been an adventure to find clay masks that would work for me. So i fell for the hype and tried the Australian Pink Clay Mask from @sandandskyaus and yes we get on well, is not the classic harsh clay that makes you face feel itchy or burning, is a very gentle product that actually helps to improve the texture and the dull aspect of it. One book that I wanted for a while went out of print and the new edition came out is this Make Up Manual by Lisa Potter Nixon, one of the most cheerful of the British beauty community. Probably some of you have the previous version with a dark greenish/blue covers with faces on it, this is exactly the same content as it's only a new edition. Quite helpful with actual useful info about how to prepare your skin before applying make up and ow to achieve a proper makeup look. This became practically a classic between all the beauty books out there, I find myself getting back to it to check out some things that probably I was doing wrong or I'm not quite sure. I remember the first bottle of this toner was resting in my pr goods basket and I was in a rush to pack to leave to Copenhagen for a couple of months for work,so I quickly read "face toner" and threw it in my skincare bag, and then my discovery started. This is the second or third bottle that I purchased and don't understand why haven't yet reviewed the product as it worked perfectly. Is so refreshing, bring my skin back to life, I avoid using cotton as I only spray it on my face, great for sensitive skin. @aaskincareuk is a small British brand from Bristol with natural products and realistic prices, this toner is around £7 for 150 ml far less of another more famous brand rose toners that actually should be called rose fragrance toners,this Frankicense & Rose toner has some fragrance on it but is minimum which is good because it means less damage to the skin and more real rose water. Getting everything for tomorrow as I will have a huge day at work and the perfume that will be my company is this one: Vanilla | 28 by @kayali. Now this perfume truly surprised me, haven't tried any Huda beauty product before but for some reason decided to start with the fragrance range that Huda created together her sister Mona. Even when you can use them alone the Kayali fragrances are designed under the concept of layering, which in perfumery means combination of different perfumes, one lay on this and lay of that but don't worry I will make a special post in the blog of how to reach this technique, a very nice game to create other fragrances and become more exclusive. Enjoying this summer vibes with some beauty reads, a book that I had on my list and finally managed to finish and take notes and you probably have seen it already is The Skincare Bible by Dr Anjali Mahto. With so many "beauty gurus", influencers, cosmeticians and many others giving advice without having a proper qualification, scientific qualification is actually nice to find books from the ones who actually are. Anjali Mahto became a well known dermatologist in he UK and came up with a very nice guide book for people who is still lost on skincare and many times get confused about the excess of information on the internet, social media and that many times you aren't sure if it's the right one or not. Father's day is around the corner and sometimes making presents to men can be tricky, so I decided to build a Father's day gift ideas post with different options that men actually would like and use. First options we have are books. Probably all know this year it will be the 80th anniversary of the Battle on Britain, many of us have or had relatives who fought either in the air or on the ground during that time, others will be active service RAF personnel or just a good read for those who love planes and history. Few days ago was also another anniversary of the D day so I will show also nice books about that topic that would make a good present. Spitfire Summer is the story of that particular season: packed full of unique material and first-hand accounts from the archives of the Imperial War Museum. Royal Air Force: The Official Story is the most up-to-date official history of the Royal Air Force - the oldest airforce in the world. From its genesis in the horrors of the First World War when pilots were open to the elements in craft made of little more than wood and fabric, to the iconic air battles of the Second World War, through to the lifesaving missions carried out till today. As someone who works on the current fighter aircraft as my main activity and history lover I genuinely enjoyed all the information and photographs that both books offer. How is Wednesday going? I'm enjoying the warm and sunny day doing some work at home and recharging energies, so I wanted to wear perfume but not the classic intense ones I normally use but something more suitable for this kind of weather. So the option for today is Neon Rose by @floralstreet_ is quite a fresh and clean fragrance, which it was a surprise for me as they don't tend to be my cup of tea mostly because they don't last long on my skin. "This is what a rose would smell like if it was neon" is what Floral street says so we are living behind the classic sweet romantic rose for a neon one that honestly go to the blog to read the full review of this perfume because the notes are quite a surprise. For me the name is quite accurate because here is a hint of rose but more fruity fresh clean than the classic rose we are used to, this perfume screams summer, sun, good vibes touching the sky. 2020 resolution was read more and about different topics, then I realised that I don't read much about fashion and that I should write more about them in the blog, so here we are. - The little book of Dior is a lovely wee book that finished quite fast and I'm very enthusiastic to keep reading more about this topic.
