thoughts on the dragon cheer theory? The theory which says that Hydrapple was first discovered by Kieran because he wanted to teach Dipplin new moves (that it couldn’t after lvl 44). Basically you have to evolve Applin into Dipplin with a syrupy apple (which as far as we know is only in Kitakami or unrevealed regions), and THEN teach it dragon cheer (afaik either Drayton hoards it or literally MADE it) to level it up into Hydrapple. How would people even discover this cross-region evolution LMAO

On a side note how would Drayton react to Kieran’s Hydrapple

I think Kieran definitely wasn't the first person ever to discover Hydrapple but I think he happened to be one of few rare people that managed to achieve that. I think what would convince me would be if Hydrapple was the last one in BB Dex, but it isn't, since before all Paradoxes and Pecharunt there is a section for starters... But I think maybe the discovery wasn't registered in dex before, so Kieran made that possible. Convoluted, I know.

But it appeals to me because when you think about... Kieran did some proper goddamn research when taking over BB League preparing to wreck protag - and he always had Applin/Dipplin and getting a tiny glimmer of hope during his hunt for best strategies that he can use his baby apple wyrm to wreck some shit.. I think it really could have appealed to him. We know he could have tested around some strategies, and hey, he could try that as well. Maybe the knowledge was very murky, he didn't know what to teach Dipplin so tried many things... Until yeah, it happened to be that move. And boom, Fickle Beam Machine.

(Would he box Dipplin if he fed it wrong apple in Kitakami? Maybe.)

As in, it appeals to me a bit more as result of Kieran using his lore buff skills than just Kieran stumbling on that combination randomly ^w^)a

And Drayton would definitely be all over Hydrapple!! He's a dragon guy, I bet he get excited whenever he spots a dragon, especially a rare one like this. But I guess first time he saw Hydrapple was maybe 6 minutes before getting his ass destroyed. So, he didn't have it in him to by hyped, far from it.

@EDIT: Wait I got timing wrong, Kieran would use Dipplin against Drayton... So the amount of research he'd put would be entirely for MC... Nice.

But it's a nice thought to have, that after Kieran gets better Drayton swoops by and asks if he can pet him ;w; and feed him snacks ;;;w;;; So many heads to pet!! And much less chompy than Iris' Hydreigon!! And if he learns that it was his TM, he'd get a bit gloaty for sure hehe (in a good-spirited way).

I recently had surgery, and at the time I came home, I had both my cat and one of my grandma's cats staying with me.

- Within hours of surgery, I wake up from a nap to my cat gently sniffing at my incisions with great alarm.

- I was not allowed to shower the first day after surgery, and the cats, seeing that The Large Cat is not observing its cleaning ritual, decided I must be gravely disabled and compensated by licking all the exposed skin on my arms, face, and legs.

- I currently have to sleep with a pillow over my abdomen because my cat insists on climbing on top of me and covering my incisions with her body while I sleep (which is very sweet but not exactly comfortable without the pillow). She also lays across me facing my bedroom door, presumably on guard for attackers who may try to harm me while I'm sleeping and injured.

That's love. 🐈‍⬛🐈❤️

no but really, like 

i know that some folks love telling creative people that “you should be doing it for fun because you love it not for the compliments” but creative people thrive on feedback whether it’s critical or just complimentary

so when i write fanfiction and don’t get any actual feedback i feel like i spent all that time and energy doing it for nothing because i’m not getting feedback from the people i wrote it for 

doing something you’re proud of and then presenting it to the sound of utter silence is like the worst feeling on earth

The 'rude/demanding' tone would be stuff along the lines of "if you like but don't reblog I'll [threat]" which i see surprisingly often, both serious and more silly
