Here is the office No Accounting For Taste poster!!! I had so much fun making it! I made it entirely out of craft construction paper and then brought it into photoshop to finish it off. I'm really happy with how it came out 😁😎🥹 I was really going for a Saul Bass, 60s/70s drama feel. Or like a pulp fiction novel from that time. Anyways, can't wait for premiere time!!

That's A Wrap!!! 🎬👏🎉💃

No Accounting For Taste has officially wrapped!!! We made it over the finish line!! After three weeks of having to cancel shoots, we finally did finish production. The rough cut intimidates me but I’ll get through it! So close to the finish line! Woo!!!

Here is another behind the scenes photo dump! This past weekend we filmed inside an old bank vault!!

The Equality Community Center lives inside what used to be a bank. Safe Combinations (a "safe, affirming, and affordable thrift store serving Portland [Maine’s] trans and queer community and those who love and support us") is located inside the community center, and their changing rooms are in the vault!

Safe Combinations was kind enough to let us film the titular "stealing the thing" scene inside their changing rooms for two nights. It was so much fun and everyone on set kept raving about how spectacular the space is.

If you're ever in Portland (Maine) I cannot recommend stopping by Safe Combinations enough! They have such a wide variety of items as well as a sliding price scale, and free bras and binders! I will never get enough of these amazing people and this amazing space :)

First day of set!

The first day set was this Sunday! It went well!!

I was very anxious that I would be metaphorically holding the set together with scotch tape. I had to drive to Buxton to pick up two chairs to be part of the set (and they didn't even work like I wanted! We'll come back to this later.) And I had to be there by 9am and it's a half hour drive away so I'd get back to school (where the set was) around 9:30, with not enough time to unload all the gear from my car by the 10 call time. Ergo, I had to get to school around 7:30 to unload gear and leave by 8:30 to get chairs, and my director of photography was bringing the food and getting coffee and and and! It was all just a bit overwhelming.. _(:3」∠)

But it all went smooth from there! We got everything we needed, no major obstacles or mess-ups. I'm really happy with what we got and am excited for next time!!

An Emphasis on Queer Representation

I can't help but make stories with queer characters in the foreground. Center stage. I grew up seeing the people I related to on the side lines, secondary characters, B plot. I don't want that trend to continue, so I'm doing something about it. I'm dedicated to making media that a younger me would have been over the moon to see.
