Poem: I am Lovable and Worthy of Life
A time of acceptanceA time to be proud of my wheelsA reflection in my hospital’s window of a:
Caregiver
A Hard Working Student
Healer
Parent
Lover
A Remarkable Human Being
I persevere!
I continue to show this world
I am
Lovable
and
worthy of life

Poem: You Mother Fuckers!
You, mother fuckers!
Oops!
I am not allowed to say that!
You can destroy my life
if I do not remain
polite to
you.
Fuck that noise!
You bigots are all
Assholes!

Poem: You wanted me to love again
You wanted me to love again
With no regard to how difficult it would be to find him
You wanted me to love again
With no regard to how special you were in my life
You wanted me to love again
With tears in your eyes because you knew it could no longer be you
You wanted me to love again
With a selflessness that few can even imagine
You wanted me to love again
With fear that I would be hurt…

Poem: This is not my world!
This is not my world.
How could it be?
You abort us, sterilize us, and destroy our genital integrity.
You raise us the wrong gender with your “expertise” and “science.”
All without our consent as children.
This is not my world.
How could it be?
You erased us from information technology, forms, and pretty much everything.
This is not my world.
How could it be?
Even dating apps make it…

Poem: Alone
A ll on my own. Abandoned by too many. Shame on all of you.
L onely in a way that makes my heart ache for you, why did you have to die?
O ptimism means nothing to prejudiced men who will not give my love a chance.
N obody wants to take the time to get to know me. Too many promiscuous cum sluts.
E everyone seems to be too scared, too endosexist, too uneducated, and too phobic.

Poem: The Holidays Without You
You did not want to die
You did not give up when you did die
Your body could not get better
You did not want to die,
and you died anyways
No prayer could fix it
No God could fix your body
The emptiness of powerlessness
Cancer is an insidious thief
that rips people out of our lives
too soon
The Holidays without you
is too much
Dealing with prejudiced people
Being outcasted
is too…

Text Reads: For November 8th, please light a candle for all of us, intersex people who suffer and who have suffered and died from suicide or hate crimes. This day is the day to pause and realize the great harm false sex dichotomies have caused hundreds of millions of intersex people.
November 8th is Intersex Day of Solidarity, also known as Intersex Day of Remembrance.
Here is a quote from Hurculine Barbin, one of the first documented suicides, after her government forced her to live as a man. It was discovered in her memoir. She was a 19th-century French Hermaphrodite.
"You are to be pitied more than I, perhaps. I soar above all your innumerable miseries, partaking of the nature of the angels; for, as you have said, my place is not in your narrow sphere. You have the earth, I have boundless space. Enchained here below by the thousand bonds of your gross, material senses, your spirits cannot plunge into the limpid ocean of the infinite, where lost for a day upon your arid shores, my soul drinks deep."
