ending midnights with “is that your key in the door? Is it okay? Is it you? Or have they come to take me away?” and then immediately starting ttpd with “I was supposed to be sent away but they forgot to come and get me” we never stood a chance

the peaked at high school girls who have cosplayed being a swiftie for a year are having a hard time comprehending ttpd lyrics and it's sending me. taylor swift is for the nerds, artists and daydreamers you bullied in school. you wouldn't last an hour in the asylum they raised me, the world is healing

"I know that the fans were expecting "Snow on the Beach" for that moment. But "Invisible String," there's something about that song in that moment. There's a lightness to it. [...] It's a really wonderful memory." - Jenny Han

Only when your girlish glow,
flickers just so,
do they let you know:
It's hell on earth to be heavenly.
Them's the breaks, they don't come gently.

Thinking go how in the beginning of TTPD announcement the aesthetic and the verbiage of evidence was making us think it was like old school detective aesthetic laying out evidence and now we have the album and its like well we have the evidence but who committed the crime? all of them? Joe? matty? Jake? Taylor? its all evidence that could convict any of them.
YEAAAAHHHHHH. like she’s pleading insanity, so in her mind, it’s her case. but is that even a fair plea? and who really is the criminal?

tiktok swifties are failing to understand the album is literally an anthology of poetry but to music, so it’s meant to be long and slow processing. you’re supposed to sit and meditate on it. you need to think about the lines, think about the authors life, think about your own, then go back to the song with understanding. it’s not an easy breezy album, it’s taylor swifts poetry collection and we’re all supposed to sit on it

"I would've died for your sins instead I just died inside" is exactly how it feels to end a friendship with drama with a friend that you would have literally jumped in front of a bullet for, someone you though would be there forever, someone you've been through so much with, someone you've grown up and changed with, your "if they jump i'll jump too" friend.
