Mikage stepped out of the building. Classes were over, and she saw off the last of her students. It wasn’t getting dark as early as it used to, but the sun was still beginning to set. However, the night never bothered her as it did so many other women. There wasn’t anything lurking in the dark she couldn’t protect herself from.

So, she began to walk home. She didn’t seem to notice, nor care, that there seemed to be someone following her.
