i made a kirby coin bank out of clay back in like 7th grade and i thought i was using pink glaze but it was the clear glaze, so now i have a flesh colored half-sphere that stares into my soul whenever i decide to have a break from the 5 hours of homework i’m doing and it gently tells me to get the fuck back to work before it replaces my spine with the various pens and pencils scattered across my desk

Please, PLEASE, for the LOVE of GOD, tag your posts properly. I followed the physics tag so that I could see neat things about space, subatomic particles, and the fabric of the universe, NOT sappy love poems or to see that you use 10 different types of pens in 5 situations. I signed up for the music tag so I could hear MUSIC, not get an update every five minutes about a pop artist’s life! Additionally, this one goes out to tumblr staff: I do NOT want to see a recommended post every. other. POST. If it was once every 10 posts, or even once every 5 posts, I’d be fine with that. But interrupting my daily dose of mistagged content with completely unrelated content is NOT what I signed up for.

you know how multiplication works, right? repeated addition- a*b = a+a+a+a+...+a with b a’s. and exponents are the same thing but with multiplication- ab = a*a*a*...*a with b a’s. Now, an alternate way to refer to exponents is like this: a↑b. To repeat exponents, it’s called tetration and you do two arrows: a↑↑b. that resolves to a↑a↑a↑...↑a with b a’s, and that’s solved right to left because exponents are solved top down, so with the arrows, 3↑3↑3 = 3↑(3↑3), not (3↑3)↑3, which solves to 3↑27 and not 27↑3, which is a lot bigger. now we go into pentation, just three arrows and it repeats tetration: a↑↑↑b = a↑↑a↑↑...↑↑a with b a’s. think about how we would diagonalize over this- some function F(a,b) that resolves to a↑↑↑...↑↑a with b ↑’s. then we repeat that, and so on. have fun developing your own giant numbers, or if you are lazy, check this out.
