what do you think is they key to writing a brilliant slow burn ?

Consistent acceleration of tension. The pace of your fic doesn't actually matter so long as it's consistent, engaging, and always driving toward the endgoal. Readers are willing to stick with you for a shocking amount of time so long as they have faith that you're going somewhere with all of it, and the way you flag that intention is by leaving breadcrumbs that point in the direction you're going, and increasing size, so that readers understand they will get an even bigger, tastier breadcrumb in the next installment. Unsuccessful slow-burns will have the characters interacting in the same way for ages and ages, which gets incredibly frustrating for the audience — not because that dynamic isn't fun, but because it gets tedious. Good plots depend on change. So in a good slow-burn, even ones that take hundreds of thousands of words, every interaction/scene/chapter should make the relationship feel slightly new. That's how you keep excitement simmering, and when you see all of that intimacy develop, your understanding of the relationship feels much richer by the end.

I enjoy Dramione for their dynamic in every aspect, drawing is one of them, the characters have a very interesting combination of hard lines and more round and soft lines, they’re the perfect team, I tell you.
