Thank you so much for the reading🥺💜. I really hope the best for ATEEZ in Kingdom despite all the constant pressure pinning them down😭🙏
You’re welcome! I almost put a rant in the end of my reading about how much I felt for all participants on that show because these competitive shows just ... seem so stressful and add even more work to an already busy life.
Maybe it doesn’t make for quote unquote good tv, but with this kind of show I tend to hope it just ends up boosting the careers of all groups involved and that there’s eventually some end to the pressure that I’m sure they’re all going through, Ateez included!

can you do a reading on ateez in the show kingdom ?
Sure! The show is a few episodes in by now (oops) but there are a few more to go. So let’s check in on what sort of energies are surrounding Ateez and their involvement in Kingdom.
Disclaimer: This tarot reading is for entertainment purposes only. All speculation comes from my interpretation only.
Tumblr media
Recent past: The Fool (Reversed), Page of Pentacles (Reversed), The Tower
We’re far enough into Kingdom that “recent past” basically involves their experience with the first round of the competition.
These first few cards indicate to me that Ateez weren’t really feeling this competition or show at all. This doesn’t surprise me. I pulled some cards back in January for Stray Kids that also seemed to be suggesting that some of the members were feeling pessimistic about the experience. I wouldn’t be surprised if idols in other groups were feeling the same way, especially given Mnet’s track record with competition shows.
Given that, I feel like these cards are suggesting to me that they approached the first round of the competition with some trepidation and ennui and it might have bled into their performance. This isn’t to say that they didn’t work hard. Basically no idols strike me as lazy, hahaha. It’s more that their hearts weren’t in it. There might also have been some miscommunications with Mnet or their company that led to confusion during rehearsal time and this further compounded the problem.
Being ranked fifth really appears to have shaken them all, though. After a long period of feeling sluggish or reluctant, that results struck them all and quite possibly reignited an interest in competition.
Current energies: Four of Wands, Five of Swords, Nine of Wands (Reversed)
And we all know their commitment to the next round of performances really paid off. They came in first!
The cards seem to indicate that Ateez are definitely celebrating that victory. They’re also happy that it came about due to a ton of teamwork and a collaborative spirit. They take a lot of pride in their performances and feel like they’ve redeemed themselves after a shaky start.
All that being said, I think their feelings of relief/success might have been short-lived. It appears as though there’s currently some kind of shenanigans afoot behind the scenes. The lack of communication from Mnet (and maybe their company?) is still an issue. I don’t think they like how the powers-that-be treated the budgeting issue. They really want to win at this point but they want to do it on a level playing field.
Therefore, as we head into the next few episodes I think some of that happiness will give way to some paranoia and nerves about what sort of stunts the people running this show will pull next.
Near future (next episode): Wheel of Fortune (Reversed), The Emperor, Ace of Swords (Reversed)
Clarifier cards: Death (Reversed), Ten of Wands (Reversed), Three of Swords (Reversed)
Getting a strong sense that these cards are for the next round only. And... I think it might be a bumpy for Ateez.
Honestly, I don’t think it will be bumpy just for Ateez, though. Judging by these cards, Mnet is likely to pull some kind of nonsense that will make life difficult for the contestants. The Emperor being in the midst of two rather gloomy/shady cards really indicates to me that there are people at play who are trying to wring money out of this show (both in Mnet and also in the companies managing these groups) and they don’t have the idols’ current interests at heart at all.
It remains to be seen what this might look like. It might involve throwing some kind of obnoxious twist into a challenge. It might involve trying to get the groups to vote against each other in shady ways. Might involve more budgeting issues. Who knows.
The cards were so overwhelmingly like “yeah this will suck for everyone” that I felt compelled to pull three clarifier cards to see if I could focus in on Ateez. Basically, it’s likely that they will be a bit fed up and wish the show would just be over already. They might resent that they are duty-bound to participate. It does appear as though they’ll overcome this latest round of chaos though and end up performing well. They might even end up using converting some of their frustration into energy for a particularly inspired performance and it might even end up being cathartic. We shall see.

Hey everyone. I’m still alive.... I just got caught up in the process of moving and it’s taken over my life 😬
I promise I haven’t forgotten about this blog though. I’m going to do one of the requests in my inbox right now though because it’s a bit time sensitive (deals with Kingdom.)

sm anon here! at the end of last year lee soo man + other sm acts gave an introduction interview as to how this would work. apparently, it's planned to be an universe (much like Marvel's lmao) where all artists are somehow connected to each other through their cinematography. apart from the teasers, it seems that aespa's black mamba and nct's 90's love have intersected lyrics referring to a place called "KWANGYA", idk what it means but the link is def there lol i have no idea where 1/2
this project is going and how everything is supposed to fit together tho. if you're interested, i'd suggest reading this article monicaaldea.medium.;com/smcu-is-k-pop-ready-for-a-marvel-inspired-shared-universe-d220ffe1aa47 (without the semicolon). i would love to see an aespa reading! i have my own suspicions as well. once again, thank you and have a good day 👍 2/2
Okay this ask (and that article) definitely sent me down a google rabbit hole, hahaha. Among other places I ended up on this reddit post. I also tried to see if Shinee’s Don’t Call Me was par of this SM Culture Universe (SMCU) and got a resounding “¯\_(ツ)_/¯ maybe the train meant something? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯” from the internet at large.
I ended up like this at the end of it all:
Tumblr media
So yeah this question is right up my alley, hahaha!
Disclaimer: This tarot reading is for entertainment purposes only. All speculation comes from my interpretation only.
Tumblr media
Sidenote: I thought about having a section about what the different idol groups and artists think about this idea whole concept, but I’m currently trying to avoid reading for groups where they might be an overwhelming number of clashing interests within the group. And I think putting SM idols all in one category would be potentially misleading. I can see idols further in their career have very different opinions from the rookies. The best way would be to go group-by-group and I might even look into that someday. But ... not tonight, hahaha.
Motivation for SMCU: Six of Swords (reversed), The Hanged Man, Ten of Cups (reversed) Future plans for SMCU: Two of Pentacles (reversed), Knight of Swords (reversed), King of Pentacles
It’s worth noting that the majority of these cards are reversed. We even have the Hanged Man in the mix there. That card is upright, but the imagery itself is upside-down, traditionally. King of Pentacles is the only fully upright card. Obviously individual cards have their meanings and you should be aware of them. It helps to also look at common patterns and narratives created by the imagery. And I’m looking at all this and thinking this ends of giving off the impression of a powerful, money-focused man throwing everyone and everything into a chaotic state.
So... the cards are being highly literal again.
Anyway, the motivations for the SMCU are interesting. In some ways I found them weirdly relatable. The pressures and struggles of COVID basically threw everyone’s goals right into the garbage, and that’s just as true for the entertainment industry. I feel like it was pretty common for people to turn to off-kilter plans and ideas in order to make the isolation and stagnation feel worthwhile.
Not that this turn of events is completely unexpected. As the article above points out, SM Entertainment has been circling the idea of connecting their artists’ MVs for well over a decade. Likewise, SuperM was a big crossover event. From this reading, it feels as though SM was building to the SMCU for years, but the last year’s struggles likely accelerated these plans. SM is already well-known for having a certain vibe - to use a very scientific term - across all their creative output. They really want to further cement that concept, particularly as performance spaces open up again. While all idol groups exist to make money for the company, it appears as though SMCU is basically about building a fan culture around that idea. Their idols are expected to work together to broadcast the message that SM is the pinnacle of creativity and success and that it will reward repeated fan engagement better than other companies. SM believes that if people are scouring music videos in order to look for connections that will only heighten people’s attachment to SM products in particular. However, this will only work better if their idols are conveying this message because fans are more likely to trust their idols than press releases from the company.
That being said, not everyone in the company is feeling it. In fact, it seems like a lot of people are annoyed by this! However, the resistance is just making the powers-that-be dig their heels in further. They’ve been building to this idea for a while and are determined to make it work. While businesses exist to make money, I’m also coming across a strong contrarian streak in here that’s not entirely rational or solely about revenue.
And, honestly, the SMCU will probably pay off in the short-term. Even if some aspects of it have annoyed kpop fans deeply (see; all the resistance to the AI aspect of aespa) it certainly gets people talking and looking for clues and hints at future directions. Audiences might even end up appreciating the distraction during the ongoing boredom of COVID.
However, the aforementioned contrarian streak will also come into play and lead to soome problems. Now that upper management at SM has decided this will be a thing they will be pursuing, they will be pushing the idea pretty strongly. They might do some pretty cutthroat or backhanded in pursuit of the SMCU idea as well. Upper management might also play favorites with the idols who are more into the idea, while benching idols who criticize it. In addition, it also appears that they don’t really have a long-term goal for how the SMCU will play out. While they want idols to commit to this idea in a united front, it appears as they have no planned timeline for how they continue to expand the SMCU.

I received these two similar requests on The Boyz one after right another. I’m addressing them both in this post. I’ve also centered it around their experience with Kingdom because I’m sure we call agree that a show like this will probably have a significant impact on participants.
Disclaimer: This tarot reading is for entertainment purposes only. All speculation comes from my interpretation only.
Tumblr media
Just before Kingdom: The Devil (Reversed), Eight of Swords (Reversed), Three of Wands Kingdom: Queen of Swords, Four of Cups (Reversed), King of Pentacles (Reversed)
Clarifier card: Knight of Swords
The effects of Kingdom on their career: Two of Swords, Nine of Swords (Reversed), Temperance
Clarifier card: Knight of Wands, The Hermit (Reversed)
The Boyz are very, very excited for Kingdom. They had to fight incredibly hard to qualify. And then that victory was immediately followed by almost a year of waiting. They weren’t idle during that time period, however. They’ve continued to expand their popularity and feel as though they have a lot of momentum behind them coming into this show. Not that they are complacent about it. Winning Road to Kingdom help them feel much more self-assured about their careers. However, they’d like to secure even more job security. As a result, they are seeing this show as a prime opportunity, as well as an exciting adventure. They’re full of creative ideas and confidence, and feel empowered to show off their skills. Unlike the other groups, they’ve already participated in the Kingdom franchise and think this gives them a bit of an edge. They may very well be right!
The cards’ forecast for their time on the show is ... interesting. On one hand, it looks as like there will be some frustrating experiences on Kingdom. Something will make them very aware that this show mainly exists to raise viewership for MNet, and they will feel a bit used/maybe even exploited at times. There might also be some clashes with fellow contestants. What I’m struggling to tell if the clashing will happen within the group, or with members of other groups. All I know is, someone will be incredibly negative at some point (either on or off camera) and it will be bring down the mood for at times.
It’s not all bad, though. It appears as though The Boyz will acquit themselves very well on this show. Again, they’re definitely in it to win it and are incredibly excited about this opportunity. Quarantine has made it difficult for idols to perform for crowds, and the cards are suggesting to me that they take their art very seriously. They’re looking forward to showing off their creativity, as well as looking forward to the end of this stagnant period for the performing arts. While they won’t exactly be performing to a stadium, it will feel nice to be performing on a show with guaranteed viewership. They’ll also handle moments of constructive criticism well and come back stronger. Viewers will appreciate their maturity in such moments. There also might be some particularly endearing moments between them and mentors/judges.
They might be in for a bumpy time in the weeks/months following the show. I think the show will bring in a lot more fans. But more fans also equals more scrutiny. This will likely lead to an increase in gossip and things blown up into scandals. Their company will also be a bit unsure how to handle the increase in fame. The members will want to capitalize it immediately - again, they’re sick of things being on hold the way they were in the past year - but their company will want to take their time. The company might prioritize other things that get their name out there (CF deals, etc) that don’t exactly light the members’ creative passions. Still, things will be likely be more stable with them and The Boyz will have forged new connections in the entertainment industry. 2021 should be an interesting year for them in my opinion!

Hello all! Briefly turned off asks because I have a lot of requests to get to (yay!) and I want to put a dent in those over the next week. Once I’m through that list I’ll turn asks on again.

Alright I had some thoughts that turned into a novella so I’m putting it under a read more.
Okay so yesterday I did this reading and in the Academy voter section I wrote: “Some voters want the press that would come with rewarding BTS, though, and that energy is coming through in the cards I pulled. A BTS win would generate good buzz, and some voters are very aware of this. Whether this translates to votes is another thing entirely, though. Their motivations (plus the Ace of Pentacles card) makes me inclined to think there will be a lot of votes for BTS, however.”
We know by now this wasn’t a majority of voters however. I’d definitely be interested in the voting breakdown (which artists got which percentage of the vote.) I do think BTS had some voters who voted for them with a lot of enthusiasm. I’ll be honest though, this is the first time I’ve done a reading involving this many people and it sort of gave me a headache. Lots of clashing interests and agendas. I started this blog this level up my interpretive skills and I think it’s been beneficial but this one was definitely overwhelming. I don’t know if I’ll read for something on this scale again for a while. 🤯
Speaking more generally though; ARMY followers, I feel your pain. Awards shows like this are sort of a conundrum because we all know there’s a degree of artificiality that goes into them and a lot of deserving artists never get their due. By the same token though, we want our faves (and the work that inspires us) to get rewarded anyway. We also know that winning one does often boost an artist’s career. I myself have been cranky for weeks about my favorite show from last year being completely snubbed by the Emmys even though its appearance on many best of 2020 lists made me think it was a shoe-in. This kind of thing really does sting.
If you hope they do get a Grammy someday, take heart. Big Hit probably got a lot of practice with campaigning (campaigning culture is probably very different for every award show) and will be able to hit the ground running next time. Likewise, there’s also all kinds of networking and socializing that goes on around these kinds of things - even in the COVID era - that will benefit the group. They also got to perform as a nominated artist which meant a lot of people who’ve never seen them perform saw them, which will bring in new fans most likely. It’s also important to remember that wins CAN increase a group’s fortunes but losses CAN’T decrease their influence or impact on your life or on the world.
Woof okay this is the longest I’ve rambled about non-tarot things on this blog but it’s been a messy, messy awards season (for ALL awards shows really) and I’ve clearly had a lot to say.
To make it about tarot again I kind of want to do a follow-up reading on this, checking in with each BTS member individually, a la my GOT7 reading. I think my readings always tend to go best when I structure them this way.
BTS and the Grammys: Quick tarot reading
“Quick” I say… Even though I’ve written up this post twice and lost it because of how tumblr erases everything if you minimize the screen too much. Anyway, hopefully the third time’s the charm, because this topic is very interesting to me. I’ve held off on doing this reading until today because there are so many factors at play in an awards show. It was also too far in the future, and I didn’t think the energies surrounding the situation would have coalesced yet. The eve of the show seems like as good a time as any to do it, though. All the voting has finished, the set list has been determined, etc etc. Now the only thing left to determine is how all the different entities involved feel about the situation, and what sort of energies they’re brining in to tomorrow.
Note: This is very much about the business side of things. Talking about companies bargaining behind the scenes doesn’t mean I think a song doesn’t deserve to win. It definitely doesn’t mean I think a song is bad. That sort of thing is entirely subjective and tarot isn’t geared towards that sort of question at all.

Your Grammy reading ☹️😣
I knowwwww :( I’d actually love to know the exact breakdown of how many artists got how many votes for that category. Because the spread of cards I got was honestly a bit bleak but it definitely felt like there were some voters who were very passionate about voting for BTS. I’m about to do a follow-up post on that reading because I have some Thoughts.

Future readings
Just wanted to say I haven’t forgotten to do any of the requests in my inbox. I did the Rose and BTS ones partly as a mental palette cleanser (partially for my own curiosity too, of course.) However I fully intend to get to all your questions. I’ve put all the ones I have so far on my future readings list.

Theme of reading: Three of Pentacles BTS's motivations: Nine of Cups (Reversed), Queen of Wands (Reversed)
Clarifier: The Star (Reversed)
Big Hit's Motivations: The Hermit, King of Wands The Grammy Academy's motivations: Ten of Swords (Reversed), Four of Cups (Reversed)
Clarifier: Ace of Pentacles
It’s unsurprising that a pentacles card is the theme of this reading. That’s the minor arcana associated with money and financial resources, after all, and I’m approaching these linked questions from the business side of things. What is surprising to me is that there were no other pentacles present in this reading until I felt compelled to pull a clarifier card at one point. This indicates to me that all parties involved are actually pre-occupied with intangible things (such as power, control, and reputation) rather than trying to just increase their money. It’s an awkward fit and, consequently, I’m not surprised everyone involved appears to be feeling unsettled. In addition, everyone involved feels like the tomorrow’s results will decide the next phase of their career/business. However, each group has a very different opinion on what that might look like.
BTS appearing to be having trouble mustering excitement for the Grammys. This is mostly because they’re feeling burned out and disappointed about their careers right now. I think some of this is due to the impact of COVID on the performing arts in general. Right now they’re feeling as though they’ve been dealing with all the negative aspects of fame without any of the emotional release they might get through performing to a crowd. There might also be some imposter syndrome going on. Intellectually, they know they’re successful, but it’s hard to internalize that in isolation.  While winning at the Grammys would be nice for them, they’re more excited about the chance to be in the spotlight again. They’re also hopeful about networking and how it might lead to collaborations that will allow them to flex their creativity again. I think they’re also overwhelmingly worried their goals are not in alignment with Big Hit’s goals. Their biggest concern right now is feeling creatively stifled. It’s all over these cards. They’re a little worried that Big Hit will expect them to re-make Dynamite over and over again if they win a Grammy for that song. They’re grateful to that song, but they also value variety.
Big Hit Entertainment, meanwhile, is valuing success for its own sake. They have done everything they can, meanwhile, to ensure a Grammy. They did the initial “for your consideration” type pushes. They networked, and promoted, and did everything under the sun. They’ve learned a lot in the process, too. At first it was awkward and they felt a little like they didn’t know what they were doing. They’ve since learned a lot. If BTS don’t win this time around, there will likely be other nominations in future years. They’re holding themselves aloof from the BTS members, though, and not really communicating with them lately. This appears to be due to a total mismatch in value systems. Big Hit upper managements wants to be known for being creative and visionary leaders and are inclined to see their groups as blank slates that lead them the company’s success. They’re more interested in creativity as a means to an end, rather than creativity for creativity’s sake. It appears as though BTS has definitely been expressing their fears about their career growing stale to management. However the powers-that-be fundamentally do not understand this type of worry. From BHE’s perspective they’ve done everything they can for BTS and are mystified by BTS’s concerns.
The Grammy Academy voters are probably in the weakest position here. They’ve been getting bad press for years, and this cycle of the Grammys is no different. Case in point: The anger over the Weeknd being shut-out, the increase of famous artists’ boycotting and criticizing them, etc. They feel like they’re hanging on by a thread. A lot of voters do feel like changes are necessary, a lot of them don’t know where to start. Some voters want the press that would come with rewarding BTS, though, and that energy is coming through in the cards I pulled. A BTS win would generate good buzz, and some voters are very aware of this. Whether this translates to votes is another thing entirely, though. Their motivations (plus the Ace of Pentacles card) makes me inclined to think there will be a lot of votes for BTS, however.
Side note: There isn’t anything in the cards about this, but I do think it’s funny that Big Hit might want that Grammy but also possibly wants to play it safe with BTS’s creative output (when BTS doesn’t necessarily want that.) I say this because awards tends to give artists in all industries a lot more bargaining power. BTS performing on their own - instead of a collab stage like in previous years - will also give them a lot of attention. I kind of want to do a simple past/present/near future reading for BTS soon because now I’m desperately curious about what their next few comebacks will look like!

Blackpink Rosé: Quick solo debut tarot reading
Because I really wanted to see what sort of energy is swirling around this long-anticipated debut!
Disclaimer: This tarot reading is for entertainment purposes only. All speculation comes from my interpretation only.
Tumblr media
Recent past: The Moon
Present moment: The Sun
Near future: Seven of Swords (Reversed)
Clarifier Cards: The Tower (Reversed), Three of Wands (Reversed)
End of debut period: The Hermit (Reversed)
The past and present cards honestly couldn’t be much clearer.
A few months ago I pulled cards indicating that Rosé was very, very nervous about her upcoming solo debut. I think she was led to believe it would be earlier in 2021 as well, which had the effect of dragging out her fears and nerves.
However, we have The Moon followed by The Sun, which is a very powerful combination indicating forward momentum. Finally, Rosé is getting her moment in the sun. Literally and figuratively. She’ll be feeling absolutely radiant the moment her music video finally goes live. It will undoubtedly be a commercial success, which will be very gratifying. In addition, Rosé will take a lot of joy in her music making others happy.
We have Seven of Swords reversed in the future position, which is very, very interesting. Seven of Swords upright is traditionally a card about deception/sneakiness. Honestly, YG’s business dealings could make a good illustration for this particular card.
However, it’s reversed here indicating the opposite of deception. When I pulled this card, I got a very strong sense of “nowhere to hide.” Deception will be impossible with this much attention on Rosé. It will be a powerful feeling, but also a bit of a scary one. Although she’s very, very much wanted her debut to come... she’ll find that the actual experience of it is even more intense than she expected. The comeback will rest on her shoulders, and she will be feeling a bit vulnerable and exposed. This card’s position so close to The Sun is also interesting to me. The Sun is one of the more positively regarded cards, but I like to remember it can burn you. So can public scrutiny.
I think in the initial performances she’ll be battling some imposter syndrome. She’ll be inclined to play it safe and rigidly stick to every pre-determined bit of choreography. She’ll get some criticism for being too polished. Something about the Tower being in reverse is also interesting to me (second time I’ve pulled that card tonight despite thoroughly shuffling.) It’s about not pushing through to a breakthrough. This makes me wonder if like .... Teddy’s gonna Teddy. I know this song has more writers than him on it, but I do wonder if some portion of the song will get a plagiarism accusation, or if it’ll get the critique of sounding dated/lacking creativity3? We’ll see.
I do think the debut will overall go well, because it appears as though Rosé will be very sad when it ends. I think this indicates she feels that art/performing is her calling. In addition, more people will see it, and this debut period will allow her to network and form more connections in the industry. I think she’ll come away from this being unwilling to settle for long hiatuses with limited creative payoff. I wouldn’t be surprised if this cements a belief in her that long hiatuses are fine, but only if the music she creates in the interim is allowed to see the light of day. Rosé will likely start demanding more of her company in the future, and she will probably see the kind of success in this debut that let her get her way.

Could you please do a relationship reading on Stray Kids Changbin and Felix? Thanks
Hello anon! Sorry for the long(ish) wait. I really like this duo though, and I was excited to get this question.
Note: This reading will delve a bit into how Hyunjin’s situation is likely effecting this particular duo. It actually played less of a role than I expected but it’s still present, if that’s a topic you would like to avoid.
Disclaimer: This tarot reading is for entertainment purposes only. All speculation comes from my interpretation only.
Tumblr media
Current state of relationship: Two of Cups (Reversed) Positive side of relationship: King of Wands (Reversed) Negative side of relationship: Five of Pentacles
Changbin's role in the relationship: Six of Pentacles How Changbin views Felix: Three of Wands What Changbin wants from Felix: Seven of Cups
Felix's role in the relationship: Nine of Cups (Reversed)  How Felix views Changbin: Three of Swords (Reversed)
Stray card: Nine of Swords (Reversed)
What Felix wants from Changbin: The Emperor
Recent past: Seven of Pentacles Near future: The Star (Reversed)
Clarifier card: The Tower (Reversed)
Right now, these two are really, really struggling with communicating their emotional needs to one another. Changbin is more aware of this than Felix, but he’s also being more avoidant than Felix. Either way, things are off-kilter for the both of them.
There doesn’t seem to be any out and out fights or open arguments going on. Instead, there’s a sense of tension in the air. This is unsettling for both of them, because they are generally very close. Changbin seems to adore Felix’s dreaminess and determination and likes to encourage his competitive streak. Meanwhile, Felix sees Changbin as incredibly creative and comforting most of the time. They both really like to blow off steam together, and sometimes indulge in fantasies about what the future might hold. i.e. Going for incredibly expensive vacations together, buying fancy houses in the same neighborhood, etc. At times they come across as a world of two, to the point it kind of annoys Stray Kids, hahaha.
Sadly, some of the strengths of their relationship can also act as negatives in times of stress. And, oh boy, is it ever a stressful time for the group. For a while, things were going well for them. 2020 was undoubtedly a time of group - both for them and the group as a whole - and they enjoying the fruits of their labor. I’ve done readings for both of them that indicated that they were nervous about the future. (Changbin about Kingdom, Felix just in general.) Neither of them anticipated this level of public scrutiny, though, and the stress of it is exacerbating the worst tendencies in their relationship. When this happens, sometimes they’ll be hanging out but feeling even more alone than when they sought each other out.
Like I said, they have a mutual admiration society going on. However their roles aren’t quite the same. Changbin tends to be more guarded, and loves to give Felix all the comfort and support he needs without necessarily expecting the same in return. Felix, in turn, isn’t shy about expressing his admiration for Changbin or his need for emotional support. The problem is, Felix isn’t also sure what he actually needs, nor does he know how to communicate it. I think we’ve all been there ... case in point: sometimes you go to a friend asking for advice, only to realize halfway through you wanted commiseration instead. And you then get annoyed at the advice. Or sometimes commiseration gets mistaken for pity, and you end up stewing in negative self-talk. It appears as though Felix falls into this pitfall a lot, and doesn’t even know the vibes he’s giving off. Changbin currently finds it more than a little stressful, because he already has so much on his plate.
They also want mutually exclusive things from each other. Changbin wants Felix to be more decisive about what he wants when it comes to comfort. Meanwhile Felix ... wants Changbin to tell Felix what he should want. It’s a big old mess.
The near future will continue to be a bit bumpy. They’re going to spend some time avoiding the conversation they really need to have about how the communicate. This is largely because there’s already been too much change and uncertainty, and neither of them wants to add on the discomfort of a confrontation... even if it’s constructive. Kingdom will also likely not help things. It appears as though Stray Kids will have some good performances, but any acclaim they receive will end up making them feel oddly guilty.
I considered pulling yet another clarifier card because I hate leaving readings on a downer note. However, the cards were so clear that things will be in stasis for a while that I decided to just respect that. I’ll probably do another reading for these two in a few weeks because I ended up getting really emotionally invested in their happiness as I read.

A few weeks ago I predicted the following: “[Wendy’s ] heading into the contract negotiations period in a very confident mindset. I think she will ask for more solo work from SM and they will be inclined to grant it since she’s another Red Velvet member with a lot of good will from the public at the moment.”
And it appears as if that manifested for her! She has a solo album forthcoming. Honestly it’s the least she deserves given that her income probably took a hit for an entire year due to SBS’s negligence.
Also I know my updates have been lacking lately. Life’s been chaotic on my end. I’m hoping to answer at least one of my asks and maybe check in on the energies surrounding Rose’s solo.
2014 contract crew tarot readings: Red Velvet
When I thought about doing this series, I knew I had to do a reading on Red Velvet. I’m a big fan of many of their songs, and I’m also deeply curious about what their future might look like. I think I might have done this too early - RBW announcing the state of half of Mamaoo’s contract negotiations startled me! - because pretty much all of these readings indicate things are still very much up in the air. But I’m posting my results all the same.
Note: This does get into Irene’s attitude scandal, if re-hashing that is not your cup of tea!

Twice jeongyeon reading 2021
Haha, short and to the point! I like it.
Disclaimer: This tarot reading is for entertainment purposes only. All speculation comes from my interpretation only.
Tumblr media
I’ve decided to break this up by quarters of the year because ... why not, haha.
Theme of reading: The Emperor Card at the bottom of the deck: Eight of Swords Second quarter of 2021 (April - June): Five of Wands (Reversed), The Magician, Four of Swords Third quarter of 2021 (July - September): Ace of Cups, King of Pentacles (Reversed), The Chariot (Reversed)
Clarifier card(s): Wheel of Fortune, Knight of Pentacles
Fourth quarter of 2021 (October - December): Ace of Pentacles, Six of Swords (Reversed), The Devil (Reversed)
Clarifier card: Eight of Wands (Reversed), Two of Cups
Jeongyeon is likely to go through some adversity in 2021.
There’s a very strong theme of power and control throughout this reading. The Emperor cast a shadow - literal and figurative - over all these cards, and was the first card I turned over. I was interested to see if that meant Jeongyeon would be coming into her own power, but subsequent cards suggested to me that The Emperor is more likely to stand in for the outside forces that control her life, particularly her company and the demands of the public. Jeongyeon is very, very aware of these expectations and feels trapped due to them.
Interestingly, every quarter will start out strong for Jeongyeon, but then dovetail into stressful situations. In April - June she will start out by focusing on resting and recuperation, and for a little while it will be a relatively peaceful time. However, there are tensions at work that are simmering. Jeongyeon will have no desire to deal with them, and will often withdraw into her own world. This will be increasingly difficult for her, though, because management will be pushing for her participation in a comeback and/or advertisements and/or performances. They won’t demand it, but there will be a lot of hints and implications that this is expected of her. Or Else. While she’s able to physically relax, mentally relaxing ultimately proves to be a much more difficult endeavor.
She’ll most likely return to promoting around the third quarter (July - September), and things will be almost euphoric in the early stages. She’ll be met with a lot of love by fans, management will be happy with her as well, and initially everything will feel promising and optimistic. However, soon enough the daily grind of idol life will start to get to her. She’ll likely start feeling as though JYPE basically promised her the moon, while failing to deliver on things that are important to her. At first she’ll try to put her all into her work, with the hopes that new opportunities will come her way, but eventually this will wear off.
The last quarter of 2021 (October - December) basically sees Jeongyeon going “oh fuck it” in good and bad ways. She’ll likely start to invest in herself more, literally. Like a lot of people, she might turn to making impulsive purchases online and thinking of it as self-care. In some ways this kind of thing might be. Sometimes you need to buy a funny mug or t-shirt to remind yourself who you are outside of work. For a while this will be fun, and she’ll be reveling in spending the money she worked so hard to make. However, this kind of comfort can be fleeting and leave you feeling more empty than before. This phase will be a blip on the radar, though, and won’t develop into anything truly unhealthy. Her focus will then turn to contract negotiations (which, incredibly enough, are up next year for Twice!) Jeongyeon feels unprepared for this.
There’s some light at the end of the tunnel, though. This reading ends with Two of Cups, which indicates to me that she does have good people in her corner. This is likely to be a bumpy year for Jeongyeon but she won’t be alone.

what do you think about sm's new integrated universe thing? also, thank you so much for answering my last ask about sm/bbc/loona! i'm unable to not despise jaden even though he's helped build loona's entire concept. that man should consider leaving the industry for good and start playing the sims or something, since he likes his idols better as puppets lmao
Oh you’re welcome! I loved that question, hahaha. Jaden Jeong is definitely quite a character, isn’t he? The pre-debut Loona-verse is some of the most fun I’ve had following along with kpop so I’m grateful to him for that. But his cards definitely gave off vibes of le tortured artiste who wants others to think about practical matters for him and give him him blank checks. He clearly is creative but stuff I’ve heard about how he treated Loona makes him sound a little like he thinks about idols as being like mannequins he can move around. Which is .... really not great.
I’m also replying because I need a few more details on SM’s integrated universe. I think I’ve heard that phrase tossed around about aespa (and I really want to do a reading on whether their debut was rushed) but I think I’ve heard it used for how SM music videos tend to have teasers for the next one. Is that what the integrated universe is?

Can you do a reading on seventeen mingyu and see If the rumors true or not?
Hello anonymous (and hello to others who have asked me similar questions last week.) I’ve had to sit with this for a little bit and I want to ramble a little bit about why I don’t think it would be beneficial for me to do a reading on the celebrity bullying accusations at this moment in time.
Basically, I’ve been unsettled by those accounts, and I know a lot of other people who follow kpop are equally unsettled (whether it’s out of sympathy for suffering and/or due to the accounts bringing back painful memories or all of the above.) I think that right now any post of mine - no matter how tactful or sensitive - would just add to all the pain and uncertainty swirling around.
That’s not to say it’s bad to wonder. It’s only human to wonder, and I have some accused idols of my own that I’m currently wondering about myself. If I do approach this topic in the future, it will be some weeks right now and will probably involve a more generalized look into the past forces that have shaped them. But for now this topic is just a bit too raw for me to approach:
