If you've still got slots for that AU thing: Megs and Impactor in a "I kinapped you to escape from situation X and now we're hiding in a cabin in the woods" AU. Or just a Cabin in the Woods (not the film) AU.

“I’m not saying it’s not nice,”Megatron argued, managing to tear his attention away from the interplay ofcables and sinews rippling under the plating of Impactor’s powerful arms as thebot rhythmically chopped firewood, “but a remote cabin is hardly a base fromwhich to run a revolution.”

“Doesn’t have to be,” Impactor growled, tossing anotherquartet of perfectly-cut logs onto the stack, “it’s just to give us someventilating space, while you finish writing your fragging book and we both lielow; besides, being in the middle of nowhere has a few other advantages.”

Megatron was already half-smirking when he asked, “Such as?”because the glint in Impactor’s optic told him all he needed to know; it wasjust extra confirmation when Impactor wrapped his arms around him, there, outin the open, with no one to see them but the turbofoxes, and dipped Megatrondown into a kiss.

28. paper cut

“You know,” Impactor growled, but there was the barest hint of amusement underneath it, “this is what comes of all that fragging writing.  Come on, let me see.”

Megatron shot him a sour look, but his attempt to unobtrusively shove his hand behind his back only drew attention to the unnatural way he was holding it, fingers curled towards the palm without touching.  “I’ve had worse,” he ground out.  “I had worse off an arc welder last week.  I don’t recall all of this concern then.”

“Yeah, because that wasn’t hilarious,” Impactor replied with a sharp grin.  And there was no subterfuge in the way he reached for Megatron’s hand.  He simply stretched out his own, giving his friend time to pull away, but instead found Megatron’s hand placed in his, with the kind of automatic trust that was necessary between two people who spent their lives working side-by-side in the dark.  Megatron seemed almost startled that he’d done it, but then he lifted his head and stared coolly at Impactor, daring him to make something of it.

“How’d you manage to break a datapad so hard you sliced your finger open, anyway?” Impactor teased, while taking his time examining the cut; it was deep but clean, and the faint trickle of energon had already slowed.  At Megatron’s silence, he glanced up, and then suddenly burst out laughing.  “You were reading Senate propaganda, weren’t you?”

“It’s necessary to know the enemy.  Just because we’re going to war with words doesn’t mean it isn’t a war.”

“Yeah.”  Impactor blew softly across the broken metal.  “And I hate to break it to you, but I think the Senate just drew first blood.”

Impactor leaned back against the stone wall as he felt his claws begin to retract, his bones pop as they shrank and realigned; and, licking the gore from his lips, he tilted his head back and called up into the darkness, “Won’t you hunt with me, Wings?”

A scrape of claws on the stone above was all the warning he received, and then a shadow dropped to the pavement beside him, massive wings folding around a muscular form, like a cloak, and Megatron’s gravelly voice rasped, “Is that truly the only way you can think for us to spend these rare hours of darkness together?”

“No,” Impactor whispered, grinning ferally, as he trailed fingertips that had been claws up the broad contours of a chest that would soon be stone - but right now, they were both flesh, and that was all that mattered - “I’m sure I can do a lot better than that.”

IDW Impactor/Megatron, prompt: meeting during the war

(ETA:  Thanks for the prompt, and for the later clarification, too!)

It was a moment - a moment across the battlefield.  Impactor’s harpoon, soaked in gore, was lifted high to finish off a downed Decepticon, and Megatron’s cannon was still smoking, when they caught sight of each other.  Two sets of optics widened, gold and red.  There was a shared thought between them so vivid that it might as well have been shouted aloud:  What the frag happened to you?

It wasn’t as if either of them had been in the dark about the other’s choice of faction, but knowing was one thing and seeing another, and it was hard to say which of them looked the more betrayed:  the one who seemed to have forgotten all about his pacifism, or the one who seemed to have forgotten all about his stand against the Senate’s corruption.  Even through the smog and flames, they could still read each other’s expressions like a datapad, as they could all those years ago, huddled helm-to-helm in a dive bar in Iacon, dreaming and bickering and setting the world to rights.

It was a moment.  Then they both lowered their heads, brandished their weapons, and charged.
