Im curious, are there any more Niki oriented stories besides The Cake Was a Lie by Jkknight34, cause Ive looked and cant find any.. Theyre mostly about Tommy, Wilbur or Ranboo, which isnt bad, and i love all those, Id just like to know if theres more Niki ones
I did some searching and I ended up finding a couple where she plays a role! Not too many, but I reblogged what I did manage to find. I hope it helps!
Feel free to tag me if you did write a Niki-focused story that I forgot to reblog!

For @i-like-tomato-soup for the three word prompts
Toaster, ladder, hugs
Makeshift Fireplace
Tws: none really [(been writing too much fluff... gonna have to change that soon...) also sorry if this is really short, I am very tired]
...
"Are you sure you're not cold?" Eret asked leaning their face close into Niki. "Because you are huddled against my toaster."
"I'm fine, really!" Niki smiled. This was false, as her body was shivering so much. Eret supposed that her bakery must have been a lot warmer than the castle, it might has well been a wind tunnel with how much open spaces there were. "I just like the toaster. Mmm. Bread. Baker."
Eret squinted their eyes. "Sure. And what is Fundy doing then?"
Eret turned their full attention over to Fundy, who was dragging some tooth picks taped together to be what Eret could only assume a ladder.
"I'm..." Fundy looked up at them as they took a step back. Eret had to be mindful of how scary they can be to borrowers. "Smelling. I'm smelling the toast. Niki said so herself! Mmm. Bread."
Fundy waved Niki over as he stepped on the ladder. Eret, honestly, wasn't that surprised to see it snap imediatly, no matter how light the borrower was. Niki frowned.
"Eret...?" She chuckled, shuffling her feet. "Would you mind putting us on top of the toaster?"
"Hmm..." Eret thought for a second. "I actually have a better idea... mind if I pick you two up?"
Niki and Fundy shared a glance before both turning back to Eret, nodding. They picked the two up, taking them upstairs to their room. They went straight over to the wardrobe, looking through a box of mittens, sweaters, and other winter wear.
"Hate to break it to you, Eret," Fundy said, tapping his foot on the palm of Eret's hand. "But I don't think any of that will fit us."
"Hold on... ah!" Eret called out triumphantly, holding an old scarf that Foolish had given them. They arranged it around their neck, making sure it wouldn't fall off, and brought up the borrowers. "What do you think?"
"I think that is a very itchy looking scarf." Niki remarked.
"This is true," Eret said, putting a hand on their forehead. They loved being over dramatic. "For unfortunatly, I am sensitive to wool. But it is a willing sacrifice for the warmth of my friends!"
Fundy barked a laugh. "Fine! Just put us in before we freeze to death!"
Eret chuckled as they laid Fundy and Niki down in the folds of the scarf. They both imediatly relaxed, giving into the warmth of Eret's body heat and the wool of the scarf. Soon their shivering stopped and both of their eyes were closed. The two must have fallen asleep.
"Free loaders." Eret rolled their eyes as they sat down on their bed, they were getting awfully tired too.
They laid down under the covers and blankets, hugging the scarf closer to their neck. It felt warm and safe.
Eret dozed of to sleep, smiling on how they could help their friends.

Eret's... vibin, at the very least
...
A Familiar Story
...
Well this was, disheartening.
A fairy and a... another one in lanterns, trapped there by the humans. Interested in magical qualities.
Uhm... maybe Eret WON'T ask them for help.
"How's it looking?" Niki asked. Her pink hair was tied up, and she had on her black borrowing cloak. As Fundy and Niki were the best borrowers of the three, Eret was usually on look out.
Also the fact Eret could telepathically communicate with others. They had to hear the voice first though. And the two in lanterns had yet to be loud enough for Eret to hear.
"Not good," Eret peeked out from behind the sugar jar. "Wilbur just took the fairy outside, but none of the other humans are in the room."
"Can't we act now?" Fundy asked, his fox like ear twitching. His baby blue poncho matched the carpet. "And get the fairy later?"
Eret hummed nervously. That was a good idea, but they didn't know how long the fairy would be staying. The knight (no one's found out his name yet) was still here, but the three could leave any day.
It was the dead of night, and the fairy still wasn't back. The longer they waited, the more likely the wizard could come in unexpectedly and catch them... but also until they have less time to retrieve the both of them.
Eret put their hands on Niki and Fundy's shoulder. "Now."
Niki and Fundy shot forward and went around the counter with frightening efficiency. The two made it to the lantern, and Eret shot a message to Niki.
Is he stable?
Just scared. He'll be fine.
Okay
The silence was broken by a click as Fundy undid the latch on the door, freeing the boy inside. They walked back much slower than they went, guiding the boy in shock.
Another click, much louder than the first. None of the borrowers had touched anything, and the ground shook slightly.
HUMANS, HURRY UP
Eret sent the message to their friends, and they hobbled over faster. It was still unbearably slow with the third member,
Techno came in the room, Eret swore they saw his red eyes glowing. The borrowers were only a few steps from behind the sugar bowl as Techno stopped moving.
"What the-"
Niki and Fundy yelped, running and dragging the boy behind them. The jar scraped against the counter as Eret dived into their entrance in the wall, the others close behind as Techno's hand made a grab for them all.
"Move move move!" Eret hissed, guiding the others through the tunnels. Techno's footsteps grew louder as he was no doubt going to wake up Phil.
The four got to the main cavern of the borrowers. Niki and Fundy collapsed in relief.
"What your name?" Eret took the new boy's hand, leading him over to their pile of scraps. Eret could sleep on the ground tonight.
The boy was wearing surprisingly clean clothes, but it made sense if he was in a necklace for a thousand years. A purple forked cape with a simple smile on the back, as well as a golden clip keeping his long back and white hair in a ponytail.
"Ranboo..." he shivered. "I... thank you. What ARE you?"
"Shh..." Eret put a finger over their mouth. They didn't know how much the humans could hear. "Borrowers, we live in the walls without them knowing and such. I'm Eret. I'm... magic as well."
Ranboo stiffened, nodding. Eret bit their tongue, and mention of magic seemed to scare him. "Thank you..."
Eret pointed over to the scraps and Ranboo lied down, closing his eyes.
Eret sat in the floor, leaning back to look at the ceiling. Ranboo wasn't... normal, was he. His clothes, his hair, his slightly too long ears, the sharpened teeth...
He wasn't... natural. Eret was enchanted, magically traced with whatever have them their ability, but Ranboo was never like them before it seems.
Niki and Fundy saved them from life as a toll to use, and now they've done the same for Ranboo.
Hopefully.

@/goosedawn got me thinking about syndicate. I was also going to give it as secret Santa, but I wanted just one good one instead of two crappy ones.
Surprisingly Not Suspicious Offer
...
Ranboo really hated it when Techno had to go borrowing. Niki assured him it was all right, the human was old. He won't notice.
But it was fine. He had his duties, Niki had hers, and Techno- though dangerous- had his.
So he went and sewed some scraps together, maybe a new poncho for Niki, hers were getting old. But sewing was mindless, not costless. He wanted more scraps, and by consequence, Techno to borrow.
Though he wouldn t admit it, whatever the human was making smelled heavenly. He couldn't wait to try some.
But before he could dwell on it any further, a loud yelp came from the kitchen. Ranboo and Niki exchanged a glance before rushing out to the hole.
Under a clear glass cup, on the absolute cliff of a counter was Techno, furiously pounding on the glass of his enclosure. The human looked at him, tapping the glass and whispering quiet words.
Ranboo froze, remembering his previous experience with humans, before Techno and Niki came along. He could tell she was remembering her past as well.
"Go back inside." Niki whispered, jabbing Ranboo in the chest.
"But-"
"GO." She said a little harsher the second time.
...
Did Niki have a plan? Well... did determination count?
Techno and Niki usually took turns with the good gear. Techno got the better needle, she got the better string. He got the better safety pin, she got the better thimble. Right now, Techno had the better thimble and safety pin, Niki had the needle and string.
Niki put on the carpet cloak, a poncho thing Ranboo made out of the same material as the carpet for camouflage, and went out. The human had left the room, she didn't know when he was coming back.
With a slightly rusty safety pin and her needle, Niki scaled the counter. At the top, she stabbed the needle in the wooden surface and tied string to it, throwing it over the edge to make a quick escape. Ranboo nervously followed behind her.
Techno was trapped under a bowl, naturally Niki's mind wandered to the house she was in before she met the other two. Cages. Tight grips. Poison in his vodka.
"You IDIOT-" Niki hissed, looking at the predicament. Techno was under a glass cup, already too heavy for Niki. On top of that, the human had put on an entire tea kettle to weigh it down even more. "Fuck fuck fuck... what do we do?!"
"You-" Techno pointed at her, his voice muffled through the glass. He was calm as ever, but Niki noticed the way his eyes were darting around. "Need to get out of here. We don't know what he's gonna do, what he wants, anything! Take Ranboo and over to the farthest house possible."
"Techno-" Niki protested.
"He's coming back!" Ranboo stage whispered, panicked. "Niki, we've got to go if we even want to think about saving Techno."
Niki looked between where the footsteps were coming from and Techno. Techno motioned frantically for her to leave, so she begrudgingly took Ranboo and slid back down the thread.
They dashed back into the walls, just in time. Niki went to prepare for a rescue mission and to get the fuck out as soon as possible. She told Ranboo to listen in and keep watch to what the human did to Techno.
NO way in HELL she was letting anyone hurt her family again.
...
Techno backed up against the glass as far as he could from the human. Not that it mattered, the human could still see him and he was still trapped.
Techno never dies, never is seen, that's what he told Niki and Ranboo. He hoped they didn't do anything too rash or stupid. Techno was the only one not scared for life by humans, and there for the only one who could really borrow.
But even as the most experienced borrower, Techno felt his breath quicken as the human approached again. "Phil" said he was "nice" and "wouldn't hurt him" and "Just wanted to talk", but Techno didn't buy that for a second. Niki and Ranboo told their horror stories, how could Phil be any different?
But instead of some torture device, Phil was holding a... bag of chips. An unopened one, so it wouldn't be stale like the stuff he stole from the kitchen counter.
"I brought you chips," Phil held up the bag, pointing out the obvious. Techno glared. "I understand why you're scared, but-"
"Scared?!" Techno held up his arms, making himself bigger. Intimidation was a valid negotiation tactic. "I'm not scared! Let me out of here!"
"You don't have to pretend you're not scared," Phil- surprisingly- lifted the bowl off him and put a now open bag of chips next to him. Techno blinked back. "I just want to talk, then you're free to go back to your friends."
Techno panicked. "I'm alone! What do you mean? No one else is here!"
"Sure," Phil said, clearly not convinced. "I just want to say I know you guys have been here for a while now."
Techno sputtered. "Heh?!"
Phil laughed. He never realised how loud humans were, the laugh shook him to his core. At least the laugh sounded warm and friendly and not malevolent.
"And I don't mind!" Phil said quickly, seeing Techno back up. "You guys haven't taken anything, I'm half afraid you're starving yourself with how little you take."
"Well the whole point was that you wouldn't notice..." Techno crossed his arms, trailing closer to the chips. The potato smell filled his nose.
"I didn't want to seek you guys out because that'd be fucking terrifying," Phil explained. "But I've been wanting to help you guys for a while. I'm cool with you living here, but I'm not cool with you having shitty living conditions in my own walls when I can do something about it?"
Well, Phil had purposefully given him a wide range of escape, especially since Niki left her thread. He also brought him chips. Plus, he hadn't been drowned or put in a cage like what Ranboo and Niki had told him.
"You can go back to your friends now," Phil motioned to the thread, moving slowly. Was he actually being considerate of how intimidating he was to him? "Tell them I want to help."
Techno slowly went towards the thread, not taking his eyes off of Phil. But he was just smiling in a stupid friendly manner.
He slid down the rope and Phil went back into the hallway. It was almost like he was thoughtful of borrowers not liking humans seeing where their wall holes were. He steadily walked back to where Niki and Ranboo went in, actually almost running into Niki on her way out.
"Techno!" Niki's face lit up as she hugged him. Techno felt her shake breath as she sniffled. "Are you okay?! I thought you were going to die! Oh my gosh-"
"I never die," Techno smiled, hugging her back. He went back inside. "But oh my gosh that was... oh boy."
"If he hurt a single hair on your fucking head-" Niki grew dark. In fact, she was already holding a splinter of wood and had her carpet poncho on.
"Nothing like that!" Techno said quickly before Niki murdered another human. "APARENTLY he knows about us already. And for a while. The nerd wants to HELP us, at that."
Niki blinked back. Ranboo was next to them now, holding Techno's arm like he was afraid he'd be gone again.
Techno sighed, knowing he'd have to tell the whole story. "He said..."
...
Phil thought about Tommy and Tubbo. Two borrowers that were in a very similar situation.
Terrified of humans, skittish, surprisingly very loud and bad at borrowering. It was a wonder Wilbur hadn't caught them sooner.
But nice once they let their walls down. They let themselves be helped, and they were even trusting enough to now live with Wilbur in his apartment when he moved out.
And Phil was lonely, sue him. He would adopt another group of borrowers because he wasn't doing anything else.
Even if they were scared- as scared as Tommy and Tubbo- Phil would know how to help. They would come around.

hello! i'm sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but i'm looking for the first dsmp g/t fic i read.
my memory on it isn't too great, but i remember it was storming, and there were two borrowers hiding in a bush from the rain (i think it was beeduo or clingyduo?) and a human comes along (i'm 80% sure it was dream), spots them, and scoops them up to protect them from the storm.
again i apologize if you've already reblogged this, and that my description is very poor. i can try to look some more on your blog or on tumblr in general for it.
thanks!

Hello! I saw your other ask saying you did end up finding the story, I'm glad you did! I'm not sure which story that one is so I probably wouldn't have been able to find it anyways, but if I hadn't, perhaps one of my followers would've been able to! Glad you did find it, though.
(Also this blog is NOT abandoned lol I've just been too busy to search for more things to reblog, but I will still answer any asks people send my way!)

Size shifter Dream doing Minecraft manhunt-
Is tiny alot as to hide better and reach hard to get to resources
Sapnap and George will think they have him surrounded when suddenly they're being chased by a giant-
Originally the hunters thought he could only shrink until during a hunt while they're calling out "Oh Dreeeeaaam~" a loud voice calls their name from above ("Oh Geoooorrrge/Sapnaaap~) and they look up to late to see a giant Dream above them-
Sapnap one time decided to trap Dream in a pocket to win (cheat) at manhunt
One time before a hunt everyone is confused as to why Dream resewed his hoodie pocket to be open on the top but closed on the sides
It's all fun and games until Dream traps you in his hoodie pocket as he just beats the game
New rule: no putting people in pockets
Although they're hunting each other down- if Dream were to find himself tiny and about to get hurt his friends would help him in a heartbeat
Or Visa versa when his friends are in trouble Dream won't hesitate to go big and step in front of them to protect everyone
Techno: *meets giant Dream* nope
Giant Dream is climbed by all
All are climbed by tiny Dream
Dream will sometimes carry people in awkward angles to tease them
Sapnap always wants to be carried ("Stop being lazy Sapnap-" "no fair! You're giant!")
No one can stop tiny Dream from catching a ride on them- wether being carried or just chilling on their shoulders/head/pocket
Fe fi fo fum, destroying villages shenanigans
"You have to shrink to fit in the protal-" "never" "why?" "Because then I can't carry you"
Giant buildings specifically for Dream
Tiny buildings specifically for Dream
There is nothing more terrifying then doing a manhunt with giant Dream

Surprise!!! Have some Starstruck fluff that I've been working on for ages 💖 (part 2 is out now)
There are no warnings for this, just pure fluff.
3k+ words
_______
Birthday Surprise (Part 1)
_______
When Wilbur found out that the boys’ birthdays were all on the same day, at first he was surprised. And then, when he checked the old files and realized the date was the same as the starting day of the experiment, the surprise faded into something a bit more weary. Of course their birthdays were on the same day; they’d been created at the same time.
The thing he was still surprised at was that Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo didn’t seem to find anything odd about that fact until he brought it up.
“It’s pretty common, isn’t it?” Tubbo had said, a little confused. “A lot of people have the same birthdays. And people with the same birthdays usually become friends.”
Wilbur had blinked at the strange logic. He had to explain that it wasn’t nearly as common as they seemed to think. They’d all seemed to deflate at the realization that this was just another quirk of the simulation. Wilbur told them it was kind of like they were triplets, and they cheered up a little.
Their birthday was coming up, their first one out of the simulation, and Wilbur wanted to make it special. There were so many things these kids would miss out on because of their size, and he didn’t want their birthday to be one of those things. He couldn’t take them to anywhere like an amusement park or ice skating, but he could still make the day special.
He woke up early on the day, heading to the kitchen to make them something for breakfast. It was hard to make things that scaled to them properly, but after several months, Wilbur had mastered the art of making pancakes their size. Or as close as he could get. Each pancake was about the size of a dime, or twice as large as one of their heads, but the teens never seemed to complain. They could down several of those pancakes each, far more food than it seemed like they could handle. Wilbur suspected it was a mix of their tiny size and their still growing bodies that caused such fast metabolisms.
Today, he added a special touch to the pancakes. Just before they were done cooking, he placed a single chocolate chip in the center of each. The effect was pancakes that were more sweets than breakfast, but it was a special day. Nothing wrong with a bit of indulgence.
He’d made nearly a dozen of the things, only messing up a couple, when he saw movement on the side of the counter. Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo were climbing the homemade ladder he’d fixed to the side of the counter, and many other places in the house.
Wilbur felt a surge of pride as they scurried up the ladder as if they’d been climbing all their lives. They’d progressed so much from the state they’d been in at the lab, muscles so atrophied they could barely stand. Now, only a few months later, they’d recovered enough to be climbing and running around with remarkable speeds.
“Happy birthday, you three,” he called as they reached the top of the counter. It took a moment for them to recover from the exertion, but once they did he got an amusing response.
“Is it our birthday?” Ranboo asked, sounding bewildered.
“Of course it is, dumbass, did you forget what day our birthday is?” Tubbo chided.
“I didn’t know either,” Tommy said. “You actually pay attention to the calendar, Tubs? That sounds like pussy behaviour to me.”
“Haha, cringe,” Ranboo said, joining in on the bully-Tubbo trend that had just started.
“Thank you, Wilbur,” Tubbo said, tactfully ignoring both of his friends.
“Of course. I’ve actually got a few activities planned if you three want. It’s your special day, though, so whatever you want to do,” he said, dishing up the pancakes onto some of the miniature plates he’d ordered online.
The teens perked up at this, looking very excited. It wasn’t often that Wilbur actually took them places, so he understood the eagerness. They would still have to be careful; Wilbur wasn’t sure what might happen if word of their existence got out, let alone spread to the lab. But he wouldn’t keep them cooped up their entire lives, and especially not on their birthday.
They whispered to each other, huddling together as if they were discussing criminal activity rather than their birthday plans. For all Wilbur knew, those could be one and the same. If his boys wanted to rob a bank for their birthday, Wilbur would probably let them. …Ok, maybe not a bank, but he’d participate in some light larceny if they truly desired.
“We choose the activities!” Tubbo chirped.
“Surprise us, big man,” Tommy said with a grin.
“Oh, I will,” said Wilbur.
He channeled his best evil villain laugh, feeling validated when the trio looked a bit wary. Really, his plans were nowhere near nefarious. Even on their birthday, he couldn’t resist a bit of teasing.
He set the plates full of chocolate chip (singular) pancakes down in front of them. They forgot about his suspicious plans at the sight, and Wilbur was treated to a small chorus of oohs and ahhs for his troubles.
“I made some extra batter, so if you don’t like the chocolate, I can make you plain ones…” he trailed off. Tommy had already shoved most of a pancake into his mouth- very impressive considering how big they were in comparison to him. Tubbo and Ranboo were digging in with much more decorum but no less enthusiasm.
“Never mind,” he said with a laugh.
Personally, Wilbur was a little tired of pancakes, and had grabbed a bowl of cereal earlier. He took advantage of the time the teens would be eating their breakfast to duck into his bedroom and grab their presents. He tried to bring them in sneakily, but was instantly noticed.
Tommy gasped, mouth still full of pancake, and he nudged the other two to look. Wilbur gave up on secrecy, and just placed the handful of wrapped gifts on the counter next to them.
“Finish your pancakes, then you can open them,” he suggested, seeing their intense interest in the gifts. He got exaggerated pouts, but they did as he said. They ate so quickly, he was afraid they might make themselves sick. Except for Tommy, who regularly ate that quickly and was probably used to it by now.
After finishing breakfast in record time, the boys crowded around their gifts. Understandably, they swarmed their biggest gift first; it towered far above their heads, about the size of a shoebox.
“Who’s this one for, Wil?” Tommy asked with a grin.
“That one’s for all of you,” Wilbur said with a laugh. “You should probably save it for last; I’m sure you’ll want to mess with it for the rest of the morning.”
Reluctantly, the boys stepped away from the big gift, instead pulling out the much smaller, individually wrapped gifts. After a short argument, they agreed to open gifts at the same time, going one gift at a time. While the gifts were all in the same wrapping paper, the labels made it clear which gift was for which teen. Wilbur had written the labels in his smallest handwriting, but the labels had still ended up comically large for the size of the gifts.
The first gifts they opened were the bundles of clothing Wilbur had made. Each teen received a sweater made from various socks, a shirt made from the thinnest fabric he could get his hands on, and a jacket that had actually been ordered from a doll clothing website. Though the handmade clothes were as sloppy as any of his creations, his kids seemed touched. Tommy actually pulled his misshapen red sweater over his head, beaming at Wilbur.
The next gifts were the ones he’d hesitated most to give them. In the end, he admitted to himself that they needed to be able to protect themselves. The dog incident had proved that. Although they hadn’t gotten hurt, they easily could have, and Wilbur wouldn’t have been able to stop it. He couldn’t keep them in his sight at all times, and the world was an incredibly dangerous place to someone only a few inches tall.
“Are these real?” Tubbo breathed, eyes wide as he pulled a homemade sword built from a sacrificed razor blade out of its sheath.
“As real as I could make them on my own,” Wilbur said with a smile. His expression faded to something more serious, and he looked between the three teens intently, needing to make sure they understood. “I’m sure you realize this, but these swords aren’t toys. I’m trusting you not to use them on each other. They’re yours to keep and take care of. If you’re ever in a dangerous situation, and I’m not around to help… Well, that’s what they’re for.”
He got a solemn nod from each, and he smiled. They really were good kids.
“Woahhh what is this?” Tommy asked, peeking into the next gift.
“Now those,” Wilbur said, a grin breaking out on his face, “are toys.”
Tommy pulled out a repainted plastic sword. It was a little big, but the repurposed garnish Wilbur had yet again found on the internet was light enough for him to hold. Tubbo and Ranboo tore open their own tiny swords, and the three began waving them around, attempting to smack each other. Wilbur had realized giving three teenagers the equivalent of actual swords and expecting them not to play with them was a little unrealistic. So he’d also given them a set of fake swords that they could hit each other with safely. …mostly safely.
Once they eventually tired of chasing each other with the plastic swords, they settled down to open the last gift before the Big One. These were the more personalized gifts, picked out using everything Wilbur had been learning about them over the last several months.
Ranboo managed to get his gift open first. Wilbur saw his eyes go wide as he took in what might be the smallest set of art supplies to ever exist. The sketchbook was homemade, created with a few sliced up pages of a normal sized one, liberal use of a hole punch, and some string to bind it together. The canvasses were real, something he’d seen at a craft store and immediately purchased.
Wilbur was pretty proud of the tiny bottle cap of watercolors he’d managed to cobble together. The chunks of watercolor pigment he’d cut out with a pocket knife and glued to the bottle cap were a little uneven. And the paintbrush was actually just the end of the smallest brush Wilbur could find, cut off to make it closer to Ranboo’s size. But while the brush was half the teen’s height, it would still be usable. Wilbur counted that as a win.
However, the piece de resistance was the set of ‘pencil’s’ he’d created. Each was made from the tip of an actual art pencil, carefully taken out with a pair of pliers. Around the base of each pencil, going up in a spiral, Wilbur had wrapped the thinnest piece of tape he could make. It was designed so that Ranboo could slowly unwrap it when he used more of the pencil, while still keeping his hands from getting dirty.
Ranboo ran his hands across the gifts almost reverently. He turned towards Wilbur, opening his mouth, but Tubbo and Tommy got into their own gifts at about the same time. They both burst out in excited chatter. Ranboo smiled, simply mouthing a silent ‘thank you’ to Wilbur.
Tommy’s gift had been simultaneously the easiest and the hardest to put together. The teen had two very obvious interests that Wilbur figured out within the first few weeks of knowing him. Whenever it was his turn to pick YouTube videos, he would request one of two things. Extreme gardening, which Wilbur hadn’t even known was a thing, or in depth coding videos.
What he enjoyed had been easy to figure out. However, finding something involving those hobbies that a person a few inches tall could use was a nightmare. Eventually, he’d decided to go down a fairly reliable path: books. He chose a beginners coding book and even managed to find an extreme gardening book by one of the channels Tommy enjoyed. He wanted Tommy to be able to read them on his own, though, so he needed to make them an accessible size.
And thus began the most tedious process Wilbur had ever done: copying each individual page of two ebooks to a separate document, lowering the font size to the smallest setting he’d managed to print on, and cutting out the printed pages into a book shape. Making the covers had been fun at least. He’d made a parody of the ‘for Dummies’ books with the coding one even though it wasn’t from that series. For the gardening, he’s simply drawn a cartoon plant with eyes and angry eyebrows, and put explosions around it.
Tommy seemed confused at first, then excited when he realized what the books were about. When he recognized the title of the gardening one, he leaped to his feet in excitement. He ran at Wilbur, launching himself onto the hand that was resting on the counter and hugging his thumb. Wilbur smiled, gently wrapping his fingers around the teen in an imitation of a hug.
Tubbo’s gift had been difficult to figure out. Even after several months, he was the most reserved of the trio. He rarely opened up, at least not to Wilbur, and hardly ever talked about his interests. However, one thing Wilbur had picked up was his interest in music.
All of the teens were interested in music, to some extent. They’d been fans of Wilbur back before they’d officially met, when he was uploading his songs to the simulation. They loved to hear him play, but loved listening to other music too. They had plenty to say about the lyrics, the tune and the sound design of various songs. Although when it came to Wilbur’s performances, they got shy with their criticisms.
When it came to Wilbur’s songs, Tommy was undeniably his biggest fan. He had been, even back in the simulation, and his idolization had persisted even once they met. However, Tubbo was the only one of the trio who actually seemed interested in learning how to play music. He listened intently whenever Wilbur explained chords or technique, and Wilbur had caught him mimicking his hand positions a few times.
With nothing better to go on, Wilbur had decided to go all in on the music thing. He couldn’t get Tubbo a real guitar, no matter how badly he wished. The best he could do was create something new; a tiny instrument just for Tubbo. It was probably most similar to a banjo, with its bottlecap body. Wilbur had glued a popsicle stick to the cap, and attached four rubber bands of different thicknesses to the instrument.
Trying to create a sound that was actually musical had been hell. Rubber bands were not naturally a pretty sound, but after some experimentation with lengths and thicknesses, he managed to find a balance that sounded nice. To his shock, he’d actually managed to match the notes to a ukulele’s notes. After some adjustments, they were in the same order as well. Wilbur couldn’t get Tubbo an actual instrument, but he could give him something pretty damn close.
Tubbo froze when he saw the banjo-lele (the name Wilbur had been calling it in his head for the past few weeks). He reached out hesitantly, plucking each string, before pulling the whole thing into his lap. He pulled out the homemade music books Wilbur had made in a similar manner to Tommy’s, and began testing to see if the chords would work the same.
When he glanced up at Wilbur, the man was startled to see tears in his eyes. Tubbo looked away quickly, subtly wiping his eyes, and Wilbur pretended not to see.
“Thank you, Wilbur,” the teen managed. “This is… a lot.”
“Seriously, big man, these gifts are so pog!” Tommy yelled, still clinging to his thumb.
“Aww, I’m glad you guys like them,” Wilbur said. “But don’t forget, there’s one more gift.”
They turned towards the largest box, and Wilbur could practically feel the anticipation rolling off them in waves.
“I don’t know how you’re expecting to top these gifts,” Ranboo muttered, although he was actually bouncing in place from excitement.
“Well, what are you waiting for?” Wilbur asked, and that was all the prompting the trio needed.
They swarmed the box like ants, searching for a weak point to start tearing. When they found it, they attacked the wrapping paper with a vengeance. They tore chunks off, tossing aside armfuls of wrapping paper. They made their way around the box, slowly revealing…
“It’s a shoebox,” Tubbo observed.
“What the fuck?” complained Tommy.
Wilbur burst out laughing. The tiny teens gave him offended looks, which just made him laugh harder. Once he recovered, the trio was looking very unimpressed. Ranboo even had his arms crossed. Unable to keep the mischievous grin off his face, Wilbur hovered his hands over the lid.
“The real present is inside,” He said. “You ready to see?”
The boys all started shouting at once, telling him to just show them already. Wilbur slowly lifted the lid off and set it to the side. Then he reached into the box, moving at a snail’s pace. The kids looked like they might die of impatience. Finally, he lifted it out.
Ordered fresh off the internet, and sporting two week’s worth of modifications, was a shiny red RC car. The boys watched in awe as he lowered it to the counter, circling around to take it in from all angles.
“You boys are sixteen now,” Wilbur said, adopting a tone he remembered Phil using on him many years ago, “which means you’re old enough to start driving.”
“Holy shit- the remote’s where the steering wheel would be,” Tubbo said as he peered inside.
“You don’t have to pay for gas until you’re older,” said Wilbur, continuing the bit, “but if you’re pulled over, you’re responsible for the ticket.”
Tommy burst out laughing, although it turned into something close to a sob halfway through. Wilbur dropped the act, and looked at the teenagers he’d as good as adopted. All of their eyes were a little wet, and it wasn’t hard to guess why.
“I know it’s not the same as the real thing,” he said gently, his voice just a little watery, “but I wanted you to experience having your first car. I want you to be able to have all the important milestones you should have had.”
“Thank you,” Ranboo choked out.
“Seriously, thank you,” Tubbo echoed. “Not just for the car, but for… all of this. Rescuing us, taking care of us, giving us as normal a life as you can.”
“Of course,” Wilbur said softly. “You three… you’re like little brothers to me. I want you to be happy.”
Wilbur was tearing up now too. He wiped his eyes, trying to collect himself. Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo were doing the same, sniffling slightly.
“Right,” Wilbur said when he was no longer on the verge of bursting into sobs. “No more sappy shit, you three go enjoy your birthday gift!”
He lifted up the RC car and set it on the ground, offering a hand to the teens for a shorter trip down. They hopped in, and he carefully crouched down. He lowered his hand to the floor, and they slid off, immediately running to the car. There was a short fight over who got to drive first, with Tubbo winning, ending up in the driver's seat.
Wilbur watched with a fond smile as the car spluttered to life. It jerked forward a few feet, and then backwards directly into the leg of a chair. He burst out laughing.
“Already crashing, Tubbo?” he called.
“Shut up, bitch,” came a faint yell from the car.
Tubbo somehow managed to knock into the counter, the chair again, and Wilbur’s legs even though he was dodging before the other two had enough and kicked him out of the driver’s seat. The teens took turns driving the car around for the rest of the morning, just like he thought they would.
Wilbur didn’t care how annoying it had been to get the remote inside the car, nor how many bruises his ankles sustained while they were learning to drive. Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo were getting the chance to actually be teenagers. That was enough for him.

Hi, I thought of a headcannon for a size shifter!Wilbur when he was destroying L'manburg, and it's not angsty, actaully my friend and I were dying on the couch about this
So basically, Wil pressed the buttom and it didn't work- So he then proceeded to throw a hissy fit and WRECK L'manburg-
Then asked Phil to kindly stab him, like-
"Hey Phil, can you please stab me? DO IT OR I HAUNT YOUR DREAMS. Pleasee?"

CRYING SJBHSJBJDJJKDLJRNMNHB /pos
you also didnt specify whether wilbur had become human sized again or not so i just decided on the size that would be the most ineffective to stab
