Hey so I’m planning to visit Glenn Dale prob right after the quarantine is lifted! And following your rec on one of your previous answered posts, I have a quick Q. I’m using google earth to visualize the instructions. But the bridge on the trail with the parking lot on electric road seems to not go over the pond, is that correct? From google earth it seems like the pond makes a right and meets a pavement trail. My question is, is it actually like this in real life or just on google E?

Hey! From what I remember, I think the bridge goes like across the edge of the pond but yes, not really over the pond. It then leads onto the pavement trail and right after it meets the pavement trail you turn left and head up into the woods. Hope that helps! Please be careful, I’ve heard they’ve increased security measures a lot recently! Good luck!

Hi! Apologies for the late response; the only spot I know of in DC is the national park seminary by Silver Spring. I went there years ago so I’m not sure of the state of things there currently. But it was easily accessible and very cool when I went!

Hey there! So a buddy and I recently decided to check out the old (and presently vacant) COMSAT lab in Clarksburg, MD. We ran into a hidden trail cam on a tree about 300 meters away from the building, and decided to leave because we didn't know any info about how quickly or severely security responds. We're really interested in going back, but I'd be way more comfortable doing so with some info on security. Do you have any experience with this particular location (with any tips to give)?

i've done a bunch of small-scale urbex (houses here and there and such), and i'm interested in taking a trip to glenn dale. i just have a few questions-- 1) best time of day to go to avoid getting caught?? 2) how much should i worry about security/best ways to avoid them? 3) best way to get in?? 4) where to park if i drove?? i hope this isn't any trouble, i just want to be thourough and not get caught. thank you so much for your time 💕

Okay so:-Where to Park: there's a lil parking lot for a hiking trail, it's on electric avenue.-Best Way to Get In: follow the trail across the bridge over the pond and up into the woods into the bamboo forest.-Time of Day: uhhh weekday perhaps? maybe early morning.-I forgot ur last question but I think it was about how to avoid security? Just stay inside, there's a security cam sort of in the middle facing the back of the building. i walked right by it tho and they didn't catch me.Anyways good luck!
