I draw both traditionally and digitally. The fandoms I draw for include: Pokémon, Chainsaw Man, The Elder Scrolls, Dungeon Meshi. I tend to make Beastars AU of series I enjoy. REBLOGS > LIKES
Re-uploading some skykid color pencil drawings from 2022, since I finally got around to scanning them. Now with a description in ALT!
I still like those drawings :)
My in-game character has changed quite a lot since then (though I'm still a loyal wearer of the Days of Fortune tiger mask and Days of Feast antlers, ahaha). Maybe I'll draw their updated design!
Listened again to I Can't Decide by The Scissor Sisters some months ago, and it felt like prime audio for a shitpost Laios + Kabru animatic (lyrics being sung through Kabru’d perspective). Back then, I had some doodles put on paper before I could forget, and today, I dropped some colors on them.
The thing is, nowadays, the “Kabru wants to kill Laios” joke has been overdone, so I don’t find it amusing anymore. So… No idea if I'll actually make the animatic, aha. Guess it'll depend on how much interest there is :p
+ another one I like a little less under read more
And I'll use this read more to also remind everyone here that reblogs are better than likes. Support artists! Reblog their art! This doesn't just apply to me! Go through your likes and reblog the art you liked!
Some Kabru sketches for the Beastars AU (snow leopard VS Himalayan tahr)
I’ll go with snow leopard Kabru for AU, I think. We discussed a tiny bit about it with @room-surprise and they have some compelling arguments I will share on the full page of panels redraws (like Chilchuck’s one).
You know that moment when you start sketching on a small canvas and the whole thing gets out of hand and you end up with a rendered painting? Yeah.
Dungeon Meshi's artificial bearskin tattoos are full of possibilities... What if, with enough shady research (animal-human experimentation, probably *coughs*), werehybrids (tiger and wolf here) could be created?
Food for thoughts. I think that idea would be very enticing to a certain someone (Laios, Laios is that someone). So here’s a werewolf-tiger Laios for you.
Reasoning: small species (compared to the rest of the main cast, at the very least), but among the tallest fox species (Chilchuck is a tall half-foot), fairly big ears, fur coloration similar to his hair (+ small joke with the “silver fox” expression, as he’s the oldest in the party. Even if he isn’t an actual silver fox here). Red foxes tend to have a reputation of being thieves, while also being incredibly smart, cunning and agile. Real foxes know how to break into hen pens, after all. Unlocking chests and disarming traps is only a short leap from there. Some old texts depicted them as smooth talkers too. I guess that doesn’t fit Chilchuck completely, but hey! He tends to drip with sarcasm whenever he opens his mouth, so I’d say it’s close enough.
I think most half-foots would fit as different fox species or mustelids. I can see Mickbell as a fennec fox, and Dandan as an bat-eared fox, or an American mink for a little bit of diversity (+ it draws a parallel between fur-farms and half-foots being considered as expendable by adventuring parties).
