The Washington Post just released a report that Ken Paxton, the dillweed currently serving as Texas’ AG, made an official request to the Texas DPS to hand over a list of all trans residents who could be identified within the last two years. This unbelievable prick was sneaky about it - he made the request for a list of all Texas residents who had changed the gender marker on their state-issued ID within the last two years. DPS admitted that they came up with 16,000 names but ultimately never handed the list over because they felt that the results were not accurate enough.

There is no reason in Heaven, hell, or on Earth for ANY government official to want a list of the transgender residents in a state where transgender people are being threatened, harassed, and investigated just for existing. Fucking ALL OF YOU get nervous whenever anyone mentions creating a gun database because you don’t want them coming for your guns?

Imagine how we feel, assholes. If you still support that bigoted shitstain, then you can fuck ALL THE WAY OFF.

One loony tune tried to claim it was made by an anti-Trump leftist. I put that to bed immediately. It was built by a Trump cultist who is now trying to gift it to Trump after making a second, bigger statue. It was unveiled at CPAC in February and thousands posed for photos with the modern-age golden calf.

He dirty deleted and blocked me afterward.

To anyone who actually believes the nonsense that G-d struck that mural down…read Torah. When G-d decides to destroy something, He goes all in. He wipes every vestige of it off the face of the planet. Jewish texts very graphically describe G-d destroying things and He never did anything halfway.

I saw a video posted by Graham Allen today about the church burned down over reopening. It low-key pissed me off. He said, “I don’t hate you. I forgive you.”

How often do Christians actually say that these days? The words “I forgive you” are rarely used. Christians would much rather get angry and lash out in their self-righteousness, accusing LGBT people and Democrats of destroying society. Something as simple as a fleeting scene in an animated film where a female character mentions her girlfriend trigger outrage and spark protests and petitions.

Where is your forgiveness then?

Where is your forgiveness when one of your children tells you they’re LGBT? You kick them out of your homes and churches, cut off support for them, threaten to pull their college funds, even accuse them of ruining YOU. Where is your forgiveness when a stranger disagrees on a simple issue involving your preferred political candidate? You put them down, insult them, and accuse them of being the bad guy and hating the President.

Where is your forgiveness, where is your Christian love, when someone says that they’ve been deeply hurt by your churches and their stances? You get defensive and angry. You blame your words and behavior on everyone but yourselves, deflecting responsibility to anything you can find in the moment. Forgiveness is a concept you utilize when it is convenient.

I say this knowing full well that I once played the same game. I did the same thing when I was younger. I hurt people and excused it by saying, “I’m not here to make you comfortable.” That was 100% wrong. It is still wrong.

Graham Allen needs to remember this moment the next time he wants to get snippy about trans people fighting for their rights.

I’ve seen a lot of posts on my dash tonight about users who are threatening suicide, with other Tumblr members posting in effort to try to get ahold of them. I think you all should see this:

IF THERE IS EVER A TUMBLR USER WHO HAS POSTED A GOOD-BYE MESSAGE, SUICIDE NOTE, VIDEO, OR ANYTHING OF THE SORT, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS POST.

1. Scroll to the top of your dashboard.

2. See the circular question mark icon at the top? It’s the third one over from your home symbol. Click on that, and a screen similar to the one in the picture will come up.

3. Where you can type in questions, the box with the magnifying glass at the top, type in the word “suicide.”

4. Click on the first link that shows up. It should say, “Pass the URL of the blog on to us.”

5. Type in the user’s URL and tell Tumblr admin that the user is contemplating suicide and has posted a message indicating that they are going through with it or will be attempting. Hit send! Tumblr administration will perform a number of actions to contact the user and take the necessary steps to prevent the suicide.

TUMBLR: THIS COULD SAVE A USER’S LIFE. PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE SUICIDE THREATS.

Reblog this to keep other users aware. Suicide isn’t a joke, and neither is someone’s life. If you didn’t know this, someone else may not, either. Pass it on.

He worked - as in past tense - for Navistar Direct Marketing in Baltimore. The company also declined to provide his name, noting that he had been fired for cause and they were cooperating with the authorities.

I weathered a lot this year. COVID-19 on the emergency medical side of things has been brutal. I’m a 911 dispatcher in the Twin Cities and worked nine nights straight during the riots in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, and I am no spring chicken.

I went from 13 years as a medic on the streets to driving a desk and herding cats in EMS dispatch. That’s no small feat, either - I had to learn to use my words to control bad situations. I was not ready for that, but I did it. Now I’m re-certifying for all of my FEMA certain so I can go back to school to get a degree in emergency management.

Stop for a second.

You just survived 2020. That is a HUGE MCFUCKIN DEAL. Even if you did nothing else this year, you’ve accomplished a lot.

But all of us have accomplished things this year! Learned a new thing or got through something tough or tried something for the first time. Done pretty well at keeping up with at least one task/commitment. Voted in the election. Or just made a habit of wearing a mask correctly when in public! We’ve all achieved things. And they ALL matter.

Take some time and genuinely write them all down. Put them all in your reblog (or just write them for yourself if you don’t want to share publicly). Go back through your insta or something if you can’t remember what happened eight months ago (God knows I can’t!). Really take some time to give yourself credit for everything you’ve done this year. 

Don’t let your achievements and struggles pass unvalidated. They MATTERED. Give them the time and space they deserve.
