Actually, there’s a reason for it. It was because since he was little, he always felt that when WWX talked to LWJ, WWX’s tone made it sound like he was sajiao-ing, which gave Jiang goosebumps and he just couldn't stand it.

Of course, when Jiang was little, he didn't really understand these things. (And of course, he doesn't really want to understand them now either).

He only knew that when WWX talked to him, it was like this: "Hahahaha, wo cao, Jiang Cheng, you idiot (sha3bi1), come and argue with me if you dare, hahahaha!!!"

But when Wei Wuxian talked to Lan Wangji, it was like this: "Aiyo, Lan Zhan, Lan Er Gongzi, look at me pls? Aww you are not looking at me.. Do you want some loquats then? Teehee~ I already knew you wouldn't eat them, I was just messing with you~ I'm not giving them to you~"

Really, these two completely different effects assaulted Jiang’s ears, terrifying and ear-piercing. So, whenever he saw WWX approaching and attempting to liao LWJ, he would be reminded of the fear induced by those moments of being dominated by goosebumps.

"Wei Wuxian, shut up quickly and get back here, (you’re) so damn cringe!!!" —Jiang Shidi’s inner monologue roared like this.

Notes:

1. "撒娇" (sa1jiao1) describes behaviors (such as speaking or acting in a cute or charming way) intended to elicit a certain response (attention, affection, pampering, etc.) from others, sometimes with an awareness of the other party’s affection towards them.

2. "卧槽" (wo cao) is a slang term modified from a swear word to express surprise, shock, or disbelief, similar to saying omg and holy shit.

3. In a romantic context, "撩" (liao) typically refers to playful or suggestive flirting or teasing to charm or attract the other person.

4. Now I understand why the comments on Mao’er FM often refer to Jiang Cheng as '江宇直/Jiang Yuzhi' (‘Jiang-Universe-Straight’ / the number one straight guy in the universe hahaha).
