Wrong House Ch 3: How it starts is how it ends
Cast: Jeon Jungkook, Unnamed Trio, Jungkook's mom (flashback, kinda), Madam Pince (cameo)
Summary: Jungkook wakes up on Halloween Morning, and forgets that there's no class + a horrible day in general. Oh right, and he has an encounter with a warrior, or two, and the Gryffindor's Snake.
"How you start your day is how you live your day", is a phrase Jungkook has heard once and has never thought of again but for some reason. That morning. He remembered it. Remembered his grogginess at the time. Remembered the gentle tug as the blanket was pulled away from his body. Remembered his mother's voice as she said it and the way she laughed as he rolled off the bed, still half asleep.
Jungkook hadn’t known it at the time, but his mother was right. The rest of his day was as confusing as his morning started.
Not feeling too hungry at the time, Jungkook decided that staying in the library was likely the best place for him, I'll go study transfiguration in advance. He thought to himself as he ducked just in time to avoid a flying - was that a bludger? He turned to get a full look at whatever it was that came hurtling at him only a second ago but it was gone.
Confused, Jungkook continued to the library only to find that he couldn't enter it. Or, more specifically, he wasn't allowed in. Madam Pince had all but pushed him back out the door as soon as she caught a glance of him with the instruction of "come back tomorrow", and the slam of the door. He must have stayed by the door for a few more minutes after that, mulling over what just happened and trying to figure out if he'd done anything that might have caused the librarian to act that way. He still has that charms book on his desk that he was supposed to return yesterday... Or maybe this was because of what happened last Friday... But if it was any of those, why was he allowed back 'tomorrow'?
With that thought still running through his mind, he decided he'd try to ask her tomorrow and began his trek to the Great Hall for something to eat.
The Great Hall was, with the exception of a few stranglers, deserted. Jungkook didn't bother looking around for too long before taking a seat at the end of the Gryffindor table, he knew none of the other first years in his house were up yet and a quick scan of the tables didn’t show/stand out any faces.
Halfway through his breakfast of eggs and bacon, he looked up at the muttering sound. A trio sat at what was usually the Ravenclaw table but breakfast was typically eaten with whoever you wanted (unlike dinner time so no décor). They weren't talking very loud but in the large room with barely anyone around, the sound traveled strangely well. Snippets of the conversation reached Jungkook's ears and he tried to make sense of it out of curiosity, but the trio seemed to have sensed that someone was listening in and their voices became quieter. I shouldn't have done that, Jungkook thought, quickly finished the remainder of his breakfast, and made his way out of the Great Hall.

Wrong House Ch 2: Second Home
Cast: Jeon Jungkook, Kim Mingyu (mentioned, Jeong Jaehyun (kinda)
Summary: Jungkook wakes up on Halloween Morning, and forgets that there's no class + a horrible day in general. Oh right, and he has an encounter with a warrior, or two, and the Gryffindor's Snake.
'A second home', the man had said. Well, I don't need a second home, Jungkook had thought so then and still do so now almost three months into the school year. I already had a home. He grumbled to himself as he got ready for the day ahead, silent so as to not wake his dormmates. Today was a Friday so his first lesson was Transfiguration, followed by Charms, then History of Magic after lunch. Which, if anyone had asked Jungkook, or anyone else in his year for that matter if that was a good idea, then the response would be a massive no. Or maybe, actually, a yes if (Mingyu) was asked because being full makes one sleepy and Professor Binns has a very great talent for lulling people to sleep. A combination that was NOT ideal if one wanted to pass his class.
The grandfather clocked chimed from somewhere in the room the tune, a different one for every hour, told him that it was six am. He waited for the loud blaring of the alarm and the collected groans of five boys as it pulled them from whatever nice dream they were having. Except.
Nothing. Nothing followed the soft hourly tune.
He got up from his perch, checked his watch and - yeah, no today was definitely a Friday. He stood for a few more minutes, contemplating, and then headed towards the bed nearest to the fireplace. Watched and waited as the duvet moved and stilled. He stood at the side of the bed thinking. In the end, impatience won out and Jungkook slowly shook the boy awake. "What? ", he muttered sleepily, eyes remaining shut. "I think the clock's broken. It's already six but it hasn't rung properly yet"
Jaehyun opened his eyes and stared at Jungkook (trying to see if he was serious or if he'd somehow gotten dragged into someone's prank) "Am I the first one you woke up?"
"Yeah, you're normally the second person to get out of bed and I figured you can help me wake up the others."
"Good. Don't."
"What?"
"Don't wake up the others Kook", he said with a laugh, "they might smother you with a pillow or something". At Jungkook's silence, Jaehyun continued, "Kook, it Halloween. We don't have any classes today"
"Oh." He blinked and moved back toward his own bed, letting Jaehyun slide back under his covers and back to dreamland. Well that's a waste of sleep, he thought as he glared at his potions assignment sitting on the table. The one he's stayed well into dawn to finish.
Jungkook sat back on the edge of his bed, silently debating if he should try to go back to sleep or not. The 'not' won out. Well aware that he was now more awake than earlier, he decided to change out of his uniform into some jeans and a sweater, a walk might be nice. There shouldn't be a lot of people awake at this time.

Chaos Trio HC
Seunghee met Tae and Chim on her second day in detention
Seunghee got detention for 'accidentally' hexing another first-year student
Taehyung and Jimin had volunteered to help with the potions ingredients (Tae volunteered. Chim got dragged)
Even after they graduated, if anyone asked Seunghee how they met, she would tell them they all met in detention, Taehyung would laugh, and Jimin would flush and try his best to explain but honestly, with the things they got up to? No one really believes him.
They unofficially got dubbed by the faculty as the 'Chaos Trio' during Seunghee's 2nd year and Taehyung and Jimin's 3rd year. An event, innocently named "The Halloween of 2009"
Jimin says he regrets ever being friends with these two (not really, but that's what he says whenever the other two starts to plan something... soo.. Once a week?)
According to Jimin, Taehyung has no regard for rules and will just do whatever he wants.
According to Jimin, Seunghee is a crazy kid who thinks everything is funny and is a danger to her own self hence why he lets her stick around (so he says).
Taehyung isn't shy of calling Jimin his best friend and Seunghee his protégé (she hates being called that and has a tendency to change his hair colour whenever he does it)
According to Taehyung, Seunghee is his water reflection. Someone who thinks the similarly but not exactly the same. They work well together and bounce ideas off each other to come up with the perfect project.
According to Taehyun, Jimin is always fun to be around cos of his reactions. Though maybe it would lessen Chim's anxiety of getting caught if his voice was a little quieter but Tae would never tell Jimin to change so he lets the other boy be
Seunghee, up until her last year at Hogwarts, thought the Tae was purposefully trying to get in trouble, with Chim being the sometimes voice of reason, most times accomplice.
According to Seunghee, Jimin is actually the one the finalizes most of their pranks (Jimin vehemently denies this)(Poor boy is too scared of getting in trouble he makes sure they're breaking as little of the rules as possible)
According to Seunghee, Taehyung is a mad scientist ("T: What's that?" "S: Hmm.. Something like a genius?" "J: I-its not, but that's pretty accurate"). Someone she's thankful is a friend.

Wrong House Ch 1: Best Birthday Ever
Cast: Jeon Jungkook, Jungkook's parents, Jungkook's granddad, man in green
Summary: Jungkook wakes up on Halloween Morning, and forgets that there's no class + a horrible day in general. Oh right, and he has an encounter with a warrior, or two, and the Gryffindor's Snake.
Hogwarts is home to many. A sanctuary. A place one can return to year after year and just be themselves. Away from familial and societal expectations. Or so first-year Gryffindor Jeon Jungkook has been told.
Spoiler: he doesn't agree.
Jungkook's first encounter with the magical world was on his sixth birthday and if anyone had been kind enough to have asked him how he'd felt, he would wholeheartedly say that it was the most terrifying moment in his life to date. Second to that would be the time he poured tea for his granddad and it turned into frog eggs and had to spend a full half hour trying to stop the old man from drinking from the cursed cup.
His parents had decided that a day out in London would be the "best birthday present ever" and Jungkook had, of course, very much agreed. So excited to ride the London Eye and to visit the London Aquarium, Jungkook bolted ahead of his parents as soon as they stepped out of the train at King's Cross Station, which in hindsight was very stupid of him as a) he was separating himself from his parents in a very crowded place which b) happens to be somewhere new and unfamiliar to the just-turned-six-year-old, not to mentioned that c) they were supposed to get the underground and not get out of the station like Jungkook tried to do. He'd turned around at some point, to see if his parents had followed him, and ran back towards platform 10 when he realised that no, they weren't following just behind him like they usually do.
He'd been running, close to tears and disoriented, mentally congratulating himself for dodging that tall man with the green cape for about a second until he realised that by dodging the man, he'd put himself right in front of a wall. Too late to stop. Too late to change direction.
Jungkook closed his eyes, hand stretched out and braced for impact.
He burst into tears as pain shot through his arm and his side where his own elbow, the traitor, had lodged itself. Stinging on his knees where he'd apparently scraped himself but as he opened his eyes, Jungkook couldn't find the wall he'd just bumped into. Instead, there were crowds of adults and children and a massive red train he was sure wasn't on the platform a second ago because he definitely would have noticed. He blinked, pain forgotten for a few seconds of confusion. And then he cried. Cried because he missed his parents. Cried because he was in pain. Cried because he didn't know what was going on and where this stranger lady with a long purple cape was taking him.
He doesn't actually remember anything else after that. His parents had told him that someone took him to the concierge where they then found him and then had apparently spent the rest of the day enjoying what his parents had planned. Jungkook doesn't remember.
After that, a series of unwanted events started to happen around him that remained mostly unexplained for the next five years up until a man in green showed up to their house about a month before his eleventh birthday claiming to be a wizard and offering 'education'. His mother had been delighted, a wizard in her family (she'd explained that she used to have a best friend who came out as a witch --> she's dead now but kook doesn't need to know that), and his father had let out a relieved "oh is that all?" (his dad, a professor who specialises in mythical Lore, was sure Kook was a changeling, taken on his sixth birthday).

NCT HC - Na Jaemin Vs Quidditch
Na Jaemin is a Quidditch genius (according to the Ravenclaw Quidditch team)
Jaemin can come up with strategies and plays that you wouldn't normally be able to see in a school Quidditch team
Most of his strategies though are mostly only used once or twice, or can only be done by certain people
The former because this child has a habit of explaining the strategies he's made not just to the Ravenclaw team, but to the entire school. During a match. As he sits on the commentators box, voice amplified. As his team DOES said strategies.
The latter because Jaemin is very good at reading people and with the Quidditch team, knows their strengths, their limits, and knows how too push them to do their best
Because regardless of what people think trying a Wronski Feint or a Thimblerig Shuffle is NOT for everyone
Na Jaemin is not actually part of the Ravenclaw Quidditch team
Ever
Not officially
He's known as the 'Shadow Captain' because, again, Na Jaemin is a Quidditch genius. But he's not competitive enough
The one time Nana played Quidditch, the match lasted almost 2 days and it only ended because he was starting to get bored of the match.

So this whole think started out as a bingo challenge for BTSXHogwarts, which.. i never actually finished because I got side tracked. I ended up adding little cameos for other kpop idols and now I have an excel sheet, at least 35 idols in each year (and counting) and have been so invested in this my sister and my friends have been dragged into this mess.
So cameo started with Kihyun as a prefect (my little backstory for how Yoongi and Jungkook met) but then it felt wrong just having Kihyun and not the rest of MX so then they ended up in Hogwarts too. My next cameo was Seunghee as my chaos trio with Jimin and Taehyung but then same thing happened and the rest of OMGirl showed up as well. And it felt wrong to have BTS and not the rest of BigHit/Hybe so now I have TXT and SVT in houses. Enha is next and someone please send help because I'm drowning in multifandom.

NCT HC - Na Jaemin
Jaemin's parents were an elderly pureblood couple that really didn't think they'd be able to have a child. The poor duo were on the brink of thinking to adopt a child, magical or not (they were weren't picky at this point) when his mother became pregnant with Nana
When his parents were younger, they both wanted to focus more on their careers since they wanted to make sure that their future child would be able to have a happy life and that they would be able to have enough money and social standing to be able to give their child anything and everything they wanted.
Mr. Na works for the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures and Mrs. Na works for the Department of Mysteries but are both now mostly working part-time due to age and to make sure they have time for their beloved blessing.
Beloved blessing = Na Jaemin btw (in case ya'll didn't pick up on that)
For their excitement to make sure Jaemin would have the best childhood and upbringing, these two did their research. As in research. They've asked families, friends, read books, took classes. EVERYTHING™.
Only thing is... Mr. Na was a muggleborn orphan, and so after starting school at Hogwarts, started to distance himself from the people he used to know (not like he can tell them anything anyways), and Mrs Na came from a very long line of purebloods that didn't really associate themselves with muggles.
Translation? Na Jaemin has no idea about anything and everything muggle related.
Like obviously, he knows what it means and he has been to muggle London. But not for very long and the closest contact he's had to someone that lives in Muggle London is Jisung (on the few occasions that Chenle manages to kidnap get permission, from both his and Jisung's parents, to hang out with Jisung for a weekend)

NCT HC # 2
Chenle - That one Hufflepuff kid that the Slytherin house has collectively adopted for some reason. Chenle hasn't realised it yet but when it's a green vs yellow quidditch match, most of the Slytherins would cheer for him. He actually thinks their mocking him so he avoided Renjun the whole of his 4th year and Injunnie's 5th year. Chenle thinks Jisung isn't fully human (something to do with his dancing. Jisung knows this theory but has zero clue what Lele is talking about). Hufflepuff Keeper since 4th year (joined in second year but stopped when he started his OWLs, joined back up when his grades settled)
Jisung - Met Chenle before he even had any magical incidents. In Jisung's memory, Lele was just like "we're friends now". Like. Boy had NO say in the matter and just let it run since 'it wasn't too bad'. A genius in transfiguration and potions but literal mess in Charms. Clumsy as hell unless (which is the strange part) he's in front of a cauldron.

Look, I understand it is difficult to separate Harry Potter from JK, and to some extent you shouldn’t, because it’s important to acknowledge the racism and homophobia in there and the connection to an actively anti-trans person. However telling people that engaging in the Harry Potter fandom is being actively anti-trans and a red flag is just wrong. Should we do everything in our power to keep money away from her, absolutely, but to stop engaging with her works altogether is not a solution, villainizing those who do care about her works really isn’t one either. Especially because this approach is actively stripping people of sometimes their entire body of interest and childhood, which is incredibly hurtful, and should not be necessary. I understand it’s different because JK is alive and speaking these opinions now, but if this was the case with everything, there is almost nothing older than 5 years old that we could ever engage with. If you need to step away from the fandom and anything related to it that is your choice, but do not expect other people to do that same thing just because you consider it necessary. My life would not have been what it is if not for Harry Potter, and that doesn’t mean I’m not doing my best to approach and deal with it carefully, but I will not let JK’s bullshit opinions completely ruin something so important to me, and I should not have to. I also will not be told it means that I share those opinions for doing so.

Fuck J. K. Rowling but also fuck anyone trying to police what other people can and can’t enjoy. I promise you, the 3.5$ JKR gets from you buying that Harry Potter hoodie don’t make you a terrible person. And even less are you evil for continuing to write HP fanfiction.
The world isn’t black and white, and JKR isn’t Anakin Skywalker where “You‘re either with me or you‘re my enemy.“ Allow yourself a little joy and nostalgia, life is difficult enough as it is.

NCT - HC #1
Mark - Raised with muggles. His maternal grandmother is a witch (Ilvermony Alumni). His mom didn't have magical inclination so when she married a muggle, the whole family thought Mark would be non-magical too. Him and his dad found out about the magical side after Mark got his letter. Orientation from his grandma (powerpoint included). His mom fully thought her mom was just going crazy until Mark fell out of their 3rd story apartment headfirst when he was 5 but when they went down to him he was floating 2 inches off the ground unharmed - they didn't tell his dad, just in case it was a fluke but they did take a full 5 min video of Mark just floating off the ground. Mark though he had superpowers til he was 11.
Haechan - Pure muggle parents but his dad's a famous muggle magician (so good even some witches and wizards go to his shows). Absolutely fascinated with magic and it's other aspects (OWLS: Divinations, Runes, Arithmancy. Fav subject is Astronomy). Top student in his chosen of electives (other classes uhh .. well). Didn't find out he was magical until his Hogwarts letter arrived. Used to tag along to some of his dad's shows so it's a little unclear if certain acts were magic tricks or magic magic.

Random HC, undated unless stated otherwise
Year level is based on their birth year. Having it based on their actual birthdays will get too complicated. I'm sorry. (Might change or edit in the future)
Example:
Date of birth 1992 = started Hogwarts in 2003
1992 = 2003
1997 = 2008
2000 = 2011

Relationships HeadCannon: - Jungkook
Jungkook → Started following Yoongi ever since Halloween of his first year. 11 year old Jungkook ran blindly around the castle after a moving armour (courtesy of Taehyung and Jimin - it was an accident. Promise.) started chasing after him. Poor boy got lost and Yoongi found him in one of the fourth floor corridors.
→ Kookie is practically attached to Yoongi's for the remaining part of his first year at Hogwarts and the first half of Year 2. Likes Yoongi because when Jungkook doesn't know something that apparently every wizard should know, Yoongi doesn't make fun of him or explain things like he's a baby or like he's stupid. Yoongi on his part likes Jungkook because when he's trying to create a new spell, Jungkook asks how instead of why.
→ Knows Jimin and Taehyung through Yoongi. Only finds out they're the cause of the armour thing when they graduated from Hogwarts end of his 6th year. Is under the belief that Tae is as crazy as Trelawney just in a different scale and that, given the chance, Taehyung would become MoM just for fun.

BTS Relationships HC: - Taehyung
Taehyung → Thinks Jimin is his bestfriend. He’d actually met Chim on the train (apparently Jimin didn’t remember and he didn’t see the point in correcting him -also Chim remember meeting Seungcheol is yes Taehyung can be petty). Barely passing some of his classes because he isn’t interested in them
→ The principal thinks he’s hilarious. Which Tae knows and he thinks Jimin knows too so he’s even less worried about breaking rules as long as no one gets hurt (Spoiler alert: Jimin doesn’t know)
--> Doesn't speak to Jin while they're at Hogwarts. It started off as something that just keeps happening. They didn't see each other until 3 weeks into school. Jin has his Prefect duties and school work and whatever else perfect boy did to keep up appearances and Tae has his friends and other interests. Months pass by and by the end of his 1st year, they've barely spoken more than five words to each other.
--> Is actually really friendly with Yoongi. Mostly it's him talking, while Yoongi has his head down trying/pretending to sleep. But its peaceful. Jimin sometimes joins in with the not-so conversations

BTS Relationships HC: - Jimin
Jimin → Doesn’t actually know HOW he became friends with Taehyung. He has a theory that Tae used the confundus charm  in him- Taehyung has yet to refute it. Jimin dropped the subject real fast.
→  Chim isn’t actually shy or that quiet (his classmates would attest to that) but he avoids crowds because his anxiety starts to kick in ‘what if I say something? Or do something that would reveal stuff? Dear Merlin I’m gonna get kicked out of Hogwarts! I’m never gonna graduate! What if they put me in Azkaban. Taehyung!!’ Because he’s Taehyung’s accomplice and Tae has broken way too many rules to be waltzing the halls of Hogwarts yet somehow he does it [Chim knows. Taehyung thinks rules are in the way of learning].
→ Chim avoid Hobi like the plague because he knows Hobi is smart and 'Tae he knows!!' (under the impression that Hoseok knows all the rules they've broken and is just out to proof - boy doesn't know squat, he just wants to be friends with Jimin)

BTS Relationships HC: - Namjoon
Namjoon → Is somehow a prefect? Top of his year. Knows Hobi through shared classes and being partners for potions - do the teachers not learn? [truth is they’ve been put together BECAUSE the teachers know that Hobi’s fast reflexes are the only reason the potions classroom isn’t on fire every time Namjoon enters. In their 2nd year, Ravenclaws shared potions with the lions. That was the year the teachers realised how much work Hobi has been doing to prevent a total disaster - also known as the one year Namjoon got an A (acceptable)]
→ Avoids talking to Taehyung because he doesn’t understand how Tae thinks. ‘Cleverly’ dubbed by the Ravens as ‘Taehyung Logic’. Taehyung actually really likes Namjoon though.
→ Gets along with Jin but doesn't spend much time wih him outside of prefect work. Jin thinks Namjoon would be perfect as a future HeadBoy (if only he'd stop breaking things every meeting...)
