Kate laid on her stomach next to Johnny, facing her teammate as she flipped through her notebook. They had the same English class and needed to study for an upcoming exam.

It was sometimes hard to get Johnny to focus, especially when he insisted they do so outside with several distractions. They balanced each other out well, though. While Kate was more of a brainiac, Johnny was laid back and got her to relax. More than once he had dragged out of her dorm room and made her do something fun.

Kate laughed as she watched the cat, though felt bad for it's owner. "Hey, maybe you should help them out? You're tall." She knew he probably wouldn't, but pushing him to do something nice was a task she often took on.

The weather was finally decent enough to spend some time outside. Johnny was a fan of dragging a blanket and whatever teammates he could scrounge down to the quad to study. Perhaps it was because very little work ever got done that way. He was far more likely to abandon his books to get a game of Frisbee going, or to chat up a group of cheerleaders who'd come out for some extra practice.

There tended to be more actual work done when Kate was there though. He'd readily admit she was a lot smarter than he was, and also sort of good for him that way. He was stretched out on his back on the blanket to watch the various activities, an arm tucked under his head, the book he'd stopped reading a while ago resting on his chest. "Surely you're not talking about that cat on a leash in the tree. Not weird at all." Despite the leash and the person holding it trying to coax it down, it did not seem in any particular hurry to move.

"Yeah I am. Maybe- Maybe I can read with you at bedtime!" Every night they'd read a picture book at bed time. It was Kobik's favorite part of her nightly routine, and since getting better at reading it was even more fun. She liked to read one page and Bucky would read the next.

Kobik watched his face expectantly as he tasted the batter. Her little face scrunched up confused at his reaction. "What do ya mean, Buckaroo?" He then offered her a taste and she squealed in her giggles, wiping the chocolate off her nose. Not really caring since it was just them, she licked the whisk very seriously as she tasted her creation.

"Hmm... Needs more chocolate."

Bucky was good in the kitchen when the mood struck him, and he enjoyed the simple processes of putting together a dinner. He'd even branched out a little, watched some YouTube videos, learned a couple new things, and it felt good to be able to do that much for himself and the little soldier. Baking was a bit beyond his capabilities, but how hard could it be to follow a recipe, really?

Harder than he'd thought. Something about the goopy mess in the bowl looked wrong, although he couldn't put his finger on exactly what it was. "You sure we got everything, kid?" He frowned over her head at the list of ingredients, one hand braced against the counter. To be fair, he hadn't been closely watching what she was doing. There could be a puppy hidden in that bowl for all he knew.

((Hey guys! It's autism acceptance month and since I, mun, am autistic, I wanted to share some of my HC of Kate also being autistic.

Well first of all, a lot of people also HC her as ADHD, but I personally don't know much about that. Her being AuDHD would be amazing though!

So her special interests are archery (duh,) The Avengers- especially Clint (double duh,) animals- her favorites are dogs and sharks, and true crime/fighting crimes, just things like that.

Sensory wise, she likes the feeling of tight clothes and feeling secure, which is why I think she dislikes dresses. She likes how a suit feels and how it hugs her body. She isn't too bad with noise, but taste definitely gets to her very easily.

Jumping off of that, her safe food is definitely pizza. I think she's a plain cheese kinda girl.

Kate is sooo sensitive. Like, hyper empathetic.

Also very prone to rejection sensitivity which will cause her to meltdown.

She tends to get underestimulated more often than overstimulated. To combat that she is always listening to music and training.

One of my biggest HC is how she only has one spoon.

She doesn't know many people, so not many people come to her house. So when it's just her, she has HER silverware/cups/mugs/plates/bowls out. And since she's just one person, she really only needs one of each.

So she has special kitchenware for each person that frequents her house. It's what makes sense to her and she likes keeping it that way.))

"You did not, you got Christmas presents, remember?" Kobik laughed at her dad's silliness, and when they got to the kitchen she flew out of his arms and ran to the table where her card was. It had a painting of her and Bucky on it in a field of flowers, and there was a glitter heart at the top. On the inside it said, "Happy Birthday Dad!" written by Natasha (she has the prettiest handwriting,) and Kobik's signature at the bottom.

"Do ya see? I signed it all by myself." She held the card up to make sure he was looking at her masterpiece.
