I really love this crossover particularly because the game's undertone themes (not saying what due to potential spoilers) deals with the exact same things Aventurine struggles with, oh, the angst potential.

What is Aster's relationsip woth Dainsleif, considering Dain is the Boughkeeper? Is there a particular region you wanna associate him with? And, also, is he affected by Irminsuls memory-alterations?

Thank you for the ask and for enjoying Aster!! :D

I can't say much on the first part since we don't know how Dainsleif is connected to it so far, only that he is related to it, and that by theory he might even have access to it, which is how he retains his memory/mitigates his erosion. This is highly likely the case, just wanted to clear it up before I explain.

Aster trusts him as he is a Boughkeeper too, similar to being coworkers. I'm not sure if they meet quite often, as Dainsleif seems to be operating on the surface more than the Abyssal realm.

Their motivations converge by Dain opposing the Abyss Order; the order being a great threat to the integrity of Teyvat, therefore Irminsul, Aster is mutual on this. I could say they even join arms for a few missions at times or had done so previously.

By mythology I took inspiration from Yggdrasils' deers, that is why I could see them being quite close!

By region I associate him with the Abyss as the core/majority of Irminsul is located in that region.

He is affected by the memory-altercations, since he is born from it, therefore he is from Teyvat too. If something is erased from Irminsul, he will not retain that information either.

The overall clarity of his lore is very much dependent on future lore drops that's why I have kept this answer brief

i reworked and made a simple reference sheet for Aster🌌 !

Update on lore part: Born from the fallen leaves of Irminsul, Aster is a caretaker and guardian dedicated to the sacred Tree, having pledged his unwavering loyalty. He fights the taint that resides within its branches, prepared to oppose anyone to protect its integrity.

If honkai elements exist in genshin (highly likely), then he would be assigned imaginary, othewise i'd go with hydro or abyssal, lastly dendro

(author's note: the prev design wasn't exactly balanced, with too much heavy armor, unfitting of his style and deer-like (nimble) appearance-- I included the references since I thought it would be a fun/interesting insight

There might be further adjusments but they are most likely very minor.)
