Headed by @frid.john the executive chef of Esteban and @tequilamockingbirdrestaurant I knew I was in for a unique experience even before I walked in the door. The entire restaurant is in complete darkness expect for a tiny window by the upstairs kitchen, and your table is lit only by candlelight. The food is authentic Mexican, with traditional favourites like the Al Pastor taco, and with Frid’s twist on the pumpkin pie the Tres Camotes, which I like to call the “three way sweet potato” dessert. If you love Tequila Mockingbird, if you love Mexican, if you love food, you will surely enjoy this menu.
