Today I made my tutor cry by complimenting another student in my class and holyshit I was not prepared for that.

I feel like the internet sometimes tries to teach us that everyone is evil, and then I interact with someone and they're just *a person*

I still feel surprised at how easy I find my job, since I have to talk to many strangers a day and usually that's very tiring since I usually mask a lot with strangers. But I genuinely think my job makes me less scared of people. When I'm scared people (there's usually lots of old people) will say things about me having dyed my hair blue or just my generally awkward demeanor they just look at me kinda weird but most people won't say anything! Multiple people have even commented on how friendly and smiley I am! And also having a script of like 3 lines I use with everybody obviously helps.

I just never expected I would be able to succeed in talking to this many people in a day.

I just wanna get back on this because I feel like I haven't clearly stated how much I crave the toast. I went to Paris and the hotel there had a toaster and it was my first encounter with a toaster and it was absolutely amazing. It was a budget hotel and the croissants were pre-packaged but all I cared about was the stupid toaster. Every time I've stayed in a hotel since then (like 3 times tbh) I have been excited for the prospect of there being a toaster. And they were all either broken or shit. I live in fear that I will never again experience the joy of a well toasted piece of bread with nutella and tea.
