the universe is so fucking funny for this. imagine being born for a job. you having that job can only happen if your mom dies. and you wait 73 years for that to happen. and when you finally get that job, you get diagnosed with cancer and quite possibly die within the first five years. absolute legendary move on the universe’s part. lol. anyway, activate the crabs.
I read an advance copy of a book recently; it's called How to Do Life with a Chronic Illness and it's going to be released soon.
It's written by a woman with chronic fatigue syndrome, so pretty much everyone with an illness can relate - how many of you have experienced some degree of chronic fatigue?
Well, it's a good one! 10/10 would recommend.
If you've ever had to give up a hobby, this is the book for you (that was my favourite part - the bit about adapting hobbies).
Anyway, keep an eye out! It's a great, easy and encouraging read.
Thank you for being That Guy. I might try something on this list
what are you even supposed to do when youre angry. cant scream at anyone cos im not a dick. cant break anything cos i paid money for that. cant rip my hair out cos i need it on my head. literally what now
Yikes you sound like my friend. He's a tantalising little bugger too, so I'm sending him this post as a screenshot / callout.
Is this a personality trait which grows in time or do you discover it in youth and refine it by mid-life? (I ask this knowing neither of you would reply with a straight answer so it really doesn't matter which of you I ask 😹)
On a scale of "wait and see" and "not at all", how truthful are your Good Omens answers?
If I tell you anything that isn't Wait and See... then I suppose you'll have to Wait and See to find out how truthful the answers were.
Im tired of questions about season 2, we need answers to more important questions- such as, do either Crowley or Aziraphale like ABBA? (Very important question)
Aziraphale does, and has since Petrarch's day. Crowley doesn't read a lot of poetry and doesn't have any opinions about rhyme schemes.
because it's not so dissimilar from Nazi Germany...which is why several Nazi crimes weren't punished (because the same practises occurred in America - ie, forced hysterectomies)...why many German eugenicists fled to America (because they may have been persecuted for another reason, In Germany, such as being gay or Jewish...but still supported eugenicism - I have the source in an essay) and why America happily welcomed Nazis after the war (op. paperclip).
Of course, this whole "useless eaters" thing didn't start with the Nazis, but they brought prominence to it...
...and a lot of what they did to disabled people is disregarded, shrugged off and accepted or excused. Because too many people agree.
Things haven't changed much at all for disabled people.
It's not a new issue. It's just the forgotten sibling of other forms of discrimination.
Today, America is the poster child for disability discrimination.
