2014 is still a month and a half away and the anticipation of the new year already has me thinking about setting new goals. In my life, this year was full of every synonym of pain you could think of and I've got it set in my mind to turn that all around. I've always thought I was pretty tough, but this year surely was challenging as my strength was tested and I'm proud to say that I've been making it through stronger than ever. Though trials and tribulations always enter our lives, I've learned to look at it as a refining of your character... to look at it as a way to strengthen yourself and embrace the voice of wisdom... welcoming it into your heart, revealing itself in your mind and burrowing the core of any lesson into your skin, keeping your soul warm on a rainy day.
Oh, and before I forget.. It's my birthday today! :)

Flowers have been my ultimate craving lately. I want to draw daisies, sew roses, paint lilies... I can't get enough of them! Luckily, my mother has a rose garden in our backyard which leaves me absolutely delighted to get my daily fix of those floral beauties. My friend Danielle (who goes by Daisy) and I have been embarking on a lot of photo adventures lately and during our last journey, I made a flower crown using the roses from my mother's garden.

I have been filling my days with my daughter's laughter and smiles, capturing memories in endless photographs and sewing until I realize if I don't go to bed then, Eisley will be rather upset having a tired momma the next day. It seems like there isn't enough hours in the day between all the lovely photographs I need to edit and the sewing project I'm currently working on and hoping to launch within the next two to three weeks. Here's to living an artist motherhood life! :)
