A non-Army experience with Jikook .

As someone who was never interested in BTS ,i wanted to share my experience with Jikook and how i came to “ship it” in a way .

I’ve been in kpop for almost 10 years now , even tho i’m not as active and involved in it as in the past i do check up on it once in while .

And in these 10 years , a part from the legendary kpop couple YUNJAE , i’ve never thought of a ship as “real” , it seemed ridicoulous to me that some people would genuinely think that two members of the same group getting together was a common thing , i mean sure it CAN happen , there are a lot of LGBT idols and temptation gets the best of us , but it would be a rarity and a big gamble .

This is where BTS’s JIMIN and JUNGKOOK come into the picture .

Boygroups in general never done anything for me , and BTS was no exception , sure they had nice music and the seemed like nice boys but that was it , i never checked up on them or actively searched for content on them to put it bluntely . The name of the members was as far as the only think i knew about the boys individually .

Until on day i was lurking in one of OH! threads and people where discussing a video a BTS member posted and its possible romantic message directed at his fellow member , as usual i just scrolled past and kept looking for more interesting posts , but the discussing was taking up more than 4 pages and i got frustrated and i couldn’t ignore it anymore , so i decided to watch it out of curiosity and to see what all the fuss was about .

As i was watching it i thought “Yeah .. it’s interesting , but i don’t really see it ” .

And then the teacup scene come up with the slow motion and all and i was like “ wait … what.. WHAT THE FUCK ? ”

And you know how the whole MOOD changes in the last 30/40 seconds ? , from the shots , the slow motion , the music , how the lyrics match some of the shots “running just to get my hand on you ” .

I didn’t believe what i just watched , so i watched it again and again and again , and each time it only renforced my first thought : It’s a love letter .

After that i just had to see more of this pairing , i didn’t care if i knew nothing about them , i have to see more of this , i have to make sure i’m not just seeing this .

So i did what every new shipper does i watched videos of them first and apart from the over exaggerated editing (Let’s all agree that anything can look romantic if you put sad music over slow motion ) i DID see it , there WAS something , from the stares to the palpable tension to the subtle but very obvious moments .

From then on i was hooked ,i liked averything about this pairing , the dynamic , how it changed overtime (especially on JK’s part ) , how well they completed each other , how perfect they were for each other .

I don’t know if they’re “real” , i don’t know if they’re dating , i don’t know if Jimin reciprocate , but the one think that i’m sure of and with only one viewing of that video , is Jungkook’s pure love toward Jimin , it’s undeniable .

tl;dr : When you ship something you tend to see things that aren’t there , you believe things out of bias , you can never be 100% objectif .

But as someone who was never involved with any of these boys , who was clueless to their dynamic and how it worked , who had no bias regarding any ship , because i didn’t care about the group and much less the ships involved in it , I saw clearly that that video was Jungkook’s love letter directed at Jimin . So no you’re not delusional, you’re not seeing things , it’s as true as it can get .

Here it is my dear annons, the long awaited House of Cards sort of analysis. I’ve been getting a few ask about this that I haven’t responded to at all since I cannot guarantee when I could post this. But I’m suddenly being taken over by my industrious persona so here it is.

There are tons of humans saying that House of Cards is a “dirty sensual song,” But it’s actually not in that light for me. House of Cards is actually a really sad song about a taboo relationship. So what is a taboo?

 There you go folks a crisp definition straight from brother google. So a taboo relationship doesn’t usually come from the heterosexuals (obviously) unless it’s incestuous or something else. House  of Cards do not give of the “Straight Lovesong” vibe at all. It feels like it’s talking about someone from the third sex  wants to love someone from there as well freely but can’t because circumstances forbids them to do so.

House of cards is a symbol used usually for a creaky and unstable relationships. It’s a cycle of a relationship where you’re happy but the consequences of it continue to haunt you. What bugs me more is that this song now reminds me of Troye Sivan’s “Blue Neighbourhood” series. This showcases a story between two young man which was cut off eventually because it’s not “normal” to be kissing and loving a boy when you’re a boy.  

“Like there’s no tomorrow Like there’s no next time Everything that you’ve done in front of my eyes It’s a complete darkness Say it like you mean it In the end, we can’t make it Even so, I keep hoping Even at the end, if you’re with me, I’m okay”

To me this was the saddest part of the song, not to mention the duet Jikook made in this part made my heart clench. It just hurts. In some of the epilogue performances JK can be seen stealing glances at Chim with so much pain in his eyes. The other members looks so emotional and pained as well while performing this song, no matter how rowdy the audience get, they seemed to be lost in the song. During the Epilogue in Manila JK and Chim seems to be more emotional than usual which makes me wonder what the impact of the song is to them. (credits to chimooky for this video)

You can feel the sadness of the song and Jikook adds more pain to it. Hearing their raw voices breaks your heart into a million pieces. I’m not implying that this song is about Jikook. What I’m saying is that this song means a lot more to them and they’re the only ones who knows the reason why, all we can do is assume.

House of Cards applies to everyone in the lgbtq community who struggles to love someone because society and human standards forbids them to do so. It feels like the song was made for them to vent out or in some ways help them relay what they feel. Plus what puzzles me the most is the part where the lyrics of the song seems to beg and plead for the time to slow down and for someone not to let go. House of Cards will forever be a sad song to me. Bang PDnim created this song right? So he must know something we don’t.

Is it just me or some western artist are trying to venture deeper into their songs? Just like what BTS does, making their music a bridge to communicate with the world. I mean dude, The Chainsmokers just released a new song called "Sick Boy" and I love the lyrics of the song. I hope that more songs with deeper meaning and agenda will be produced in the future.

It's too early to say this but BTS is not just being known, they're being heard as well. Some western artist out there might be inspired by their ways of making music and that's a big thing. That would mean that they no longer fight alone, ARMY will grow larger and their pleas will be heard from around the world. I mean dude, let's admit the fact that our boys are just AMAZING and AWESOME. I stan the right group man.

I do agree, I just finished watching the Vlive episode and Jikook looks "awkward" not in the usual way but in a way that their avoiding something. Plus cameras seems to avoid them as well. There were a lot of ship moments but Jikook was rarely seen.

Is it me or BH does actually hide JiKook ?

I mean, first of all, I just watched BTS Run latest episode and there’s a lot of Namjoon and Jin funny moments as well as TaeTae and Kook cute moments. Jimin, Kook and Hobi is one team but to be honest, Ji and Kook doesnt look like one. They only showed Hobi and Jimin interacting with each other.

My question is, why do they show Kookie and TaeTae sharing food but not when Jiminie was trying to help Kookie with whatever he was cooking? Why do they always cut moments when Min and Kook talking?

I feel like déjà vu right now. Remember BV1 where they show V and Kook snuggling and cuddling? Well in BV2, they didnt even show any moments even the sight of Min and Kook sleeping in one room together.

Actually there are more but who cares, I still love all of them equally (Okay maybe I lie because I love Jimin more 😂)
