Ok, so this one time, while i was on a student exchange in Canada, a couple months in, a bunch of new students arrived.

One of them was in my maths class, but didn’t seem to speak English that well, but the teacher wanted to greet him and figure out his math level right?

So he walked up to the new student and asked him nicely: „Hey, are you new?“

Then, the new kid looks him dead-ass in the eye and answered in a confused, but serious tone: „No…..I’m French“

After that the room just went silent for a second and it took him at least 5 seconds to figure out what he just did, cuz the teacher just asked again.

Meanwhile I was just sitting on the other side of the room trying to keep in my laughter, thinking to myself: Oh no…that’s worse“
