just out of curiosity is your name inspired by the milgram interactive music project or the milgram prison experiment

its so funny u mention those things. neither of them were what inspired the name, it was actually the meaning itself! it means 'pomegranate.'

'izhar milgram' is the name of one of my original characters. the story portrays a pomegranate tree that changes alongside izhar and represents izhar's relationship to death & mortality (the stretched metaphor being, pomegranate = hades = afterlife). Also, tree = life, yaknow.

while i was researching, i did discover the things u mention. MIMP is pretty damn interesting, but i'm not too much of a music nerd so it didn't catch my attention. the milgram experiment was kind of funny to me, though, because izhar abhors authority, but he's also a manic evil scientist type who wants to know everything about people's minds,, i dunno it was a weird juxtaposition to me when i thought about what he'd think of the experiment.

i mostly just didn't know what to name myself for fandom anonymity purposes. i decided to use izhar's name, since i expect i will never complete any works regarding him, so it didn't really matter lol.

i have, however, gotten used to being called izhar/izar and even requested some irl to try calling me that, and i liked it. so where does the character end and the author start....

fun fact: about half a year ago, i was actually writing a OC-HP story where izhar is a character in canon hp. he mostly sulks in dark corners and does not-so-humane research. the first arc was about him discovering if dementors are sentient or not (they are!) it would be funny if i wrote a mock thesis of izhar's research, but i have to work on my own first lmao
