In light of recent news that involved Seungri, I would like to take a stand and apologize on my rash post. For what happened that year was so chaotic, YG were “busted” for covering a lot of their artist scandal, not taking care of them mentally,2ne1 disbandment, etc. I was mad, angry and so done with kpop scene and YG family in general. Despite being emotional breakdown I was in that year, it does not justified the post that I had made. In the process of his cases were being investigated, I disappeared completely for a few years. Because of the rumours continuously being exposed in the media, I was hurt and decided to tend my emotional self. I did not spread hateness, rumours and malicious comment aiming at Seungri and other Big Bang members because I do not preach it. The only statement I made (regretably) in his case is the one up here. With that being said, once again I apologize to Big Bang fandom (VIP), Seungri and Big Bang members.   

I think it’s better to address this post before people took it out of context and label me as Big Bang haters. I was emotionally broken and the rumours from the media clouded my judgement. I shouldn’t made a post in the first place. It shows how immature and childish I was. I will try to learn from the mistakes that I made and not repeating it again. 

My Thoughts on Seungri Burning Sun case

Due to my hiatus from kpop music for a few years, I had not been active that much. But the latest issue in Seungri case got me saying ”Dissapointed but not surprise” some of my followers might have a little knowledge about me being a VIP for a long time. Big Bang is like my benchmark for a kpop idol that I like. They’re are like God in the industry or something. 

Unfortunately since Big Bang had a few scandals in the past, I am not surprise that the biggest scandals our of all would come down to Big Bang maknae Seungri. It’s hard for me to say, even though I was supporting all the Big Bang members in the past, I can’t but to put doubt in each of them. Since their status in the kpop industry is basically “untouchable”, I thought maybe some of them caught their head above the cloud. Which mean that they can do whatever the hell they want without worrying the consequences from it. 

It is a really disgusting act for a human being to do. I admit, the least favourite Big Bang member is him but I put the benefit of doubt on him because he was working hard. Boy, was I wrong. I can confirm on what he did is disgusting and dehumanizing. I can’t even look at his face anymore since I kept remembering how he objectifying the woman with his “business” partner. My thought remain and I will not protect the image of this man anymore. Just because he was the member of my bias group, it doesn’t mean I have to justify his actions. He’s a full grown man that was given advise by his closes and eldest member but still can’t take care of himself. 

However I will keep support the remaining member of Big Bang even prior to their scandals. As I said before, even their cases had been pardon, my doubt is still there.

A take on Grammy

First of all, I would like to congratulate BTS for being nominated and able to perform at Grammy. They’re are one of the greatest representation of South Korea and the fandom in my honest opinion. I was anticipating and honestly deep in my heart I know they should win. If they win, it’ll be a win for a kpop industry and the kpop fandom. But seeing ARMY saying “If BTS win Grammy, It’s for BTS and BTS only not the kpop industry, and not the kpop fandom, remember what they said before BTS got famous?” and honestly I slightly agree on the sentiment of that statement because I’ve been there when they debut, and I’ve been there when they got mistreat, bullied and mock for their music. Although I don’t agree the slander that happened on BTS, I must embarrassingly admit that some of the articles and ment that aimed on them changes my view. Looking back on the backlash that they had, honestly some of the topic are trivial things that are exaggerated and honestly I never get it. That’s why I try to stay neutral. Keyword “TRY” and thank God, I never mock other artist for their hard work (or so I think). As you might know I was a BIG BANG fan and YG Family that include ikon, Winner and 2ne1. When BTS debuted, I was busy with Winner debuting and Ikon in a survival show. I was busy cursing at YG and I basically have no time slandering other group especially if my favorite have a thin chance for debut.

Moving on, let’s talk about award shows. As a VIP (BIG BANG Fandom) We’ve been knew award shows is a scam. It doesn’t really matter if it’s local or international. In my opinion, award shows is unnecessary necessary things for an artist. It serve as some kind of reward and validation for their hard work, it’s also a good platform to introduce new rookies by giving them performance and etc. But it’s also a platform for fandom to ship their artist with other artist, breed fandom war on other artist reactions and last but not least the unnecessary BLACK OCEAN in the middle of the award shows!!! BIG BANG has become a household name in Kpop industry and they still get mistreated. At one point BIG BANG and their fandom had come to an agreement that award shows is not really important anymore. We don’t need any validation anymore, they had already proof what kind of artist and performer for the industry. That is why you don’t see them at award shows anymore. 

Now, I know going to Grammy is one of SUGA wishes and when that wish came true, I was so excited! I can already imagine that they're going to capsize the whole Grammy shows and prove that their hard work have come to a fruition. But seeing that BTS and ARMY had been robbed by GRAMMYS, I’m sorry to say, I was not surprise at all. Artist will use other more famous artist for their clout and award shows are the same. Remember, award shows is unnecessary necessary things for an artist. They knew having BTS in the shows bring a lot of views and interest. It baffled me that they only nominated in only one category and didn’t even win. WTF? BTS has been a worldwide phenomenon, they are one of the most demanded artist and their songs top billboard a lot of times. Make it make sense Grammy! I am mad, I can’t imagine what ARMY feel right now. 

Grammy had been known for their racial bias. One search in google will let you know how racist this award is. Honestly, I was already done with award shows but I was hyping BTS for this award only to be disappointed by the bias system. I called bullshit on the Grammy and you should too. 

Disclaimer: Ya’all, I kept editing this post cause it’s confusing. Is BTS nominated in one award or all of the award? Cause they deserve all of it and more. No shades to the real grammy winners but.. ya know. Haha, ok, JK. 🤣 Every artist work hard and deserve the award. Just a reminder that ARMY shouldn’t feel discourage, you should be proud that BTS has made it this far. There’ll be more to come and all I wish is only good things happen to them.

We lost our laugh for a while, but please acknowledge that it’s okay, it’s only temporary. While we weep the memories from the past for you that used to belong in a team of 7. We started counting stars (ikon) in every appearance they made. Sooner than ever, we stopped counting and hope for their best without you (Hanbin), we knew our hope for your return is in vain. It won’t heal the wound of us (ikonic) and ikon themselves instead it will keep bleeding. 

So, instead of weeping for your lost, we smile and laugh of the memories that we built up until you left us. We lost our laugh temporarily, but seeing you healing and thriving, the smile slowly came back. Not to mention, our boys ikon are slowly healing as well. Seeing Yunhyeong and Chanwoo youtube channel thriving is a sense of achievement for me. Our ikonic still streaming their song and best believe we still bop to it. I really hope we can see their comeback soon and seeing them in variety show. 

As an iKonic, we must not stop supporting our boys. As if now, Ikon is team of 6 but they are still 7 in our heart. Kim Hanbin, we will never forget you, every little news about you is happy news for us so don’t stress about it. We will always remember you as the best leader that ikon can ask, the best rapper, singer, brother, son in our heart. I wish and hope that Ikon can shoot big for their comeback later. I hope they don’t feel less or insecure to us. I believe they deserve the world after what they’ve been through.

I can’t believe k-drama fan are having war on Nam Joo Hyuk character Nam Do San in real life. He play his role so good, everybody just can’t separate the reality anymore now huh? 

Honestly speaking in start up, I rooted for Do san though. Don’t @ me for being honest, both Dal Mi and Do San is a victim in these cases. I wanted them to be together when this drama end, but, oh well, one can only hope. They might be content with what they have now, just like Record of Youth. 🤷‍♀️

And dude, can we discuss on why do we have to ship them (Kim Seon Ho and Nam Joo Hyuk) so hard outside of the drama? You all know force marriage doesn’t always work out, don’t force people into the relationship they don’t want to. Let’s just be happy for their comfortable relationship. 😊👍

Before iKon officially debut, I rooted for them in the show WIN. After they lose to Team A, I still stalk their progress and support them. When Mix and Match start, my hope is really high, because I love them so much and I see them as the next Big Bang in the future (And by that I mean, having their own legacy and be called Legend etc.) 

I’ve known Hanbin since MC Mong era “Indian Boy”, He shine so bright in that MV, and when I knew he got into YG, my heart is delighted. I’m so happy because his style really match with YG agency at the time. From WIN and Mix & Match, I knew he work so hard for his career .He has such a huge responsibilities on his shoulder but, I am so glad his hard work is payed off at the end. 

Honestly, this thought has been long overdue so bear with me. When I heard about the accusation that circulate around him, believe me, I don’t pay that much of attention. I was reasoning with myself, Hanbin work so hard and maybe he so tired and stress. Deep in my heart, I honestly believe he is innocent. Everybody deserve a second chance in life. My heart completely shattered after the announcement that he will be leaving a group come after that. I was so shock, I hypnotize myself saying the article is just a mere rumor. But, it’s not, he left ikon and us. 

There’s always a stage of grieving and I did all that 4/5 stage. I denied that it is a true rumor, I was angry and thought he was selfish for not thinking of his team, think of us, the Ikonics. After a while, I stopped watching their video because it hurts me so much. I’m slowly accepting his absence in iKon. It’s been really hard and now, I’m watching ikon again without Hanbin and believe me, I miss him so much. I still cry seeing his face prior leaving and hearing his voice in their songs. 

It’s been hard, I know he left the group because he feel the tremendous responsibility on his shoulder, and didn’t want to drag his team with him. He want them successful even without him. He’s a great leader to say, he’d been helpful from the start. I’m sure he didn’t want to leave us, but he had to. I know YG had had a rough year last year, but I hope all YG fandom starting from VIP, Blackjack, Inner Circle and iKonic can be strong and support each other through this time of trial. If you take the time to think, it’s not only affecting us, but the group members as well. I’m sure they’re hurt a lot more than us knowing each other on a personal level. 

Kim Hanbin, where ever you are, whatever you do, I hope you’re doing well, I know you’re a very hardworking person, so if you’re tired, take a little rest, recollect your thought and work through it. I miss you and I love you. ❤ Don’t worry, I still support and love iKon, it’s just sometimes, I miss you. 😂
