When I watched the movie for the first time, on my very first day at the studio, it looked like that. Maca worked for over a year on this animatic, and is guilty for a lot of the feels you will feel watching this movie.

Told you guys I'd post some animations! I have a bunch more where that came from too.

This one is not an actual shot from the film. As one of the first animators hired, I helped develop the style of the film. This is one of the very first animations I did at the studio, to start getting a feel of the characters. We were trying out ways for Robot to move, to walk, ranging from so bouncy it was goofy, to too heavy and kinda intimidating. Eventually we arrived at something that would make him feel strong but graceful, and most of all friendly and full of joy.

Robot is definitely my favorite character from the film <3
