I really don't like it when people say Lord of the Flies would have ended differently if they were all girls. Cause that kinda um misses the entire point. Remember when British writers were all "oh goodness me these dirty natives are so savage living on a jungle island like this! If BRITISH KIDS lived on a jungle island they'd do it WAY BETTER!" and the whole reason Golding wrote LotF is because he HATED those stories about "civilized British boys taming a savage island" so he said fuck you actually. What if the British boys are WORSE.

So if you honest to God read Lord of the Flies and concluded by saying "oh goodness me these dirty boys are so savage living on a jungle island like this! If GIRLS lived on a jungle island they'd do it WAY BETTER!" I think it's safe to assume that The Point went way over your head.

I swear to the gods, reading manwha is IMPOSSIBLE. It seems like some chapters are translated very well and it looks clean and tidy; then, it'll suddenly change, and it's a horrid mess with English that is so terrible that you can't even understand what's being said in the story. Whoever translated it is using too direct a translation and isn't fixing the grammar so it makes sense to English speakers.

I CANNOT stand that. I don't care if you're not a native English speaker, really, but if you're going to make money translating you should at least have the skills to make it legible for the readers.

"It was a pleasure time"?? Were ANY English speakers able to proofread it before they put that shit out on the internet? Literally ANY English speaker would've looked at that and said, "We need to fix that, no one fucking talks like that."
