I’ve seen people already say that Loki got the throne “just like he always wanted” and those people have to be the most hard-headed people imaginable, because it’s literally not even the show’s narrative at this point. The show is VERY blatantly clear in the last episode that Loki didn’t want a throne, that (if you haven’t heard him the last several times, he says -and I quote verbatim- “the LAST thing I want is a throne!” And they’re very clear that it’s a burden that he takes up despite not wanting the throne. Because it’s not about a throne it was never about a throne. Like, anyone who says he got what he wanted is just being an incomprehensive troll because it’s so obvious that the only thing he wants is to save everyone.

He has literal tears in his eyes; he had no idea if he would make it, but he still took the risk just to save his friends, and look at him now! An actual selfless hero and one of, if not the most powerful being in the entire MCU! Frigga would be so proud ♡♡♡

I am simultaneously deliriously in love with the ending of Loki season 2 and absolutely loathe it

On one hand…Shakespearean tragedy at its finest, essentially circling back to Loki’s original Thor 2011 character arc by reversing it, and Loki has literally ascended to godhood. In the end, Loki’s ultimate selfless sacrifice was to sit upon the highest throne in the multiverse, and that to me is tragically ironically beautiful

On the other hand…Loki being alone makes me want to burn Marvel studios to the ground and do other unspeakable things
