Headcanon that when introducing Dipper and Mabel to anyone, Ford always sneaks in an opportunity to brag about their accomplishments. He also brags about them when they aren’t around to hear, but he always makes sure to express pride in their achievements when they’re standing right there and can hear.
I especially like this idea for Mabel, because it might seem obvious that Ford, a man with 12 PHDs and an obsession with science, discovery, and academic achievement, would brag about Dipper, but Ford is also super impressed and proud of all Mabel’s accomplishments as well!
And Ford bragging about her means so much to her. Dipper’s always been known as the “smart twin” but here’s this man with 12 PHDs sincerely bragging about her accomplishments, just like he does with Dipper. “This is my niece, Mabel. She’s a little artistic genius! She makes a very creative sweater every day! And she once made a hyper realistic, life-sized, wax statue of my brother, when she was 12! Isn’t that impressive?!”

Wakko is aromantic, has no interest in romance for himself at all, but is a bit of a hopeless romantic for other people, and is match making like, all the time.
If he knows one of his siblings likes someone, he’s practically shoving them into their crush. He’ll run up to the crush and start talking up whichever sibling has the crush.
“Ya know, Yakko is super fun to be around! He has great stories to share! And he loves getting people flowers!”
“Isn’t my little sister adorable? And she’s so independent and protective of people she cares about!”
And he’ll even do this for Scratchansniff
“See that man over there? That’s my psychiatrist! He’s really good! He cares a lot! And look at how impressively shiny his head is!”
And if no one has a crush? Match making time. He’s famous for inviting people to come sit with him and a friend, very unsubtly announcing what they have in common, and then abruptly excusing himself and leaving the two alone.
He’ll also prepare people for their dates, “no, no, don’t wear that, where this instead!” “Did you get them flowers?” “Don’t forget to smile! And make sure to be interested in what they’re saying!” And then excitedly interrogates them after the date “how’d it go?! Did you guys kiss?! Are you in love?! Can I help plan the wedding?! When’s the next date?!”
Also he can never for the life of him pick up on when someone is flirting with him, it doesn’t even cross his mind that someone would, but the second someone flirts with someone he cares about, or if someone he cares about flirts with someone else, he jumps into action to set them up.

Cute little detail about this moment I want to point out (assuming no one has pointed it out already)
When Dot goes all Type A on setting them up for their vacation, she takes the time to do things she thinks her brothers would specifically enjoy.
“I really don’t go in for chakra work, but I know that’s your thing, Yakko, so I brought some resonating crystals”
And then she, knowing Wakko loves to eat, prepares him a relaxing drink
It’s just cute that she’s genuinely trying to make this relaxing for her entire family and is willing to personalize it based on what her older siblings like

The finale of DuckTales (2017) is hilarious to me because while I do understand why FOWL made the choices they made, I just can’t help but think about the irony
Bradford: the world is in constant chaos on unpredictability!
Bradford: most of this is connected to Scrooge McDuck and his family!
Bradford: Scrooge’s family just keeps getting bigger and bigger and so does this problem!
Bradford: we must stop this!!
Bradford: now let’s achieve this by cloning Scrooge a daughter and making his already growing family even larger!
Black Heron: sounds good to me, I’m really just coming along for the ride

Dot, not home, calling Yakko
Yakko: heya, baby sister! What’s up?
Dot: I HAVE A BONE TO PICK WITH YOU!
Yakko, apathetically handing the phone to Wakko: it’s your sister
Wakko: hi Dot, what did Yakko do?

I know the fandom has discussed this before, but isn’t it so much more entertaining when Ford is being asked directly by his 12 year old niece? I think so!

Weird Gravity Falls question:
As fans, we’re all aware that Filbrick sucked as a dad.
But do Stan and Ford understand that?
It seems obvious to us outside viewers, but I don’t exactly recall any comments by either senior Pines twin that would suggest they have connected those dots. I believe it’s fairly normal for children of abusive, neglectful or just simply bad parents to think their parent’s behavior was normal or that they deserved it or whatever, and in addiction to not being able to remember a moment where they admit their dad sucked, they certainly have both internalized his words.
Ford continued to pursue his education and was obsessed with academic excellence, as that seemed to be the one and only thing that made his father show him any kind of appreciation.
Stan continued to obsess over money, as his dad told him that was the only way he was allowed to return home. And let’s not forget his comment in the finale “dad was right, I am a screw up”
But again, and please please correct me if I’m wrong, I can’t think of anything either of them has said that criticizes their father’s actions. There’s the comment that he “wasn’t easily impressed” which I think more than anything, serves more as an excuse for his actions. Heck, in the flashback of Stan taking boxing lessons, I felt that whole scene was framed as Filbrick being a good dad, personally, I thought he was a good dad up until A Tale of Two Stans.
Idk I guess I just always assumed that after several decades they started to understand that Filbrick wasn’t a great dad, but it’s perfectly realistic for neither of them to have come to that conclusion, and frankly, the tiny bits of evidence from the show support this being the case.
I rambled a bit here, but what do you all think? Did I forget a moment that proves they do see their dad wasn’t a good dad? Do you think they have processed that part of their childhoods?

DO NOT DO THIS!!!
If a website has a paywall, like New York Times, DO NOT use the ctrl+A shortcut then the ctrl+c shortcut as fast as you can because then you may accidentally copy the entire article before the paywall comes up. And definitely don't do ctrl+v into the next google doc or whatever you open because then you will accidentally paste the entire article into a google doc or something!!!! I repeat DO NOT do this because it is piracy which is absolutely totally wrong!!!

Serious question, with a funny comic to illustrate my point
Gravity Falls, Weirdmageddon, Ford tells Bill that he is unable to leave Gravity Falls due to the “Gravity Falls natural law of weirdness magnetism” which totally needs a shorter name, Ford.
From what we understand, or at least what I understand, this natural law is similar to gravity. Like a weirdness gravitational pull. Ford states the town is a “magnet for things that are special,” Alex once said, and later showed in A Tale Of Two Stans, that if you documented every oddity in the world in the Gravity Falls universe, they would get more and frequent the closer they are to the town, and less frequent when farther away. All this suggests that the more weird you are, the closer you will be to Gravity Falls and/or the higher likelihood you will eventually end up in Gravity Falls.
But of course, others have been drawn to Gravity Falls and have been able to leave, the entire Pines family is perfectly special and weird enough for Gravity Falls and they all left the town at the end of the series. What this means for Bill, obviously, is that he’s just too freaking weird and abnormal for the world to even leave Gravity Falls, he’s so strange, his pull to the town is so strong, that he can’t even leave the town when he comes into the real world.
This leads me to propose a theoretical question: let’s say for some reason, the rift was taken on the road trip in Roadside Attraction, and then broke in some other city in Oregon, or let’s say somehow, Weirdmageddon never happened, and somehow the rift accidentally went home with Dipper and Mabel and broke there or on their bus ride. What would happen? Would Weirdmageddon happen right there? Would Bill have been able to immediately take the odd-pocalypse global? Or would he have been whisked back to Gravity Falls by the gravitation pull of how weird he is??
Again, this is a genuine question, that I would love hear opinions on, but please enjoy this comic I drew showing the latter scenario:

This is probably my third post talking about how I think that, in regards to Dipper and Mabel, Ford is very much against them swearing while Stan is like “say whatever the fuck you want! Just don’t tell your parents!”
My newest idea in this regard:
Dipper and Mabel, to some jerk in town: Why are you such a fucking asshole!?
Ford: Kids! There is no need to stoop to profanity! You’re both capable of far more sophisticated insults!
