please fix the human urge to categorize and let people freely flow in and out from the in betweens

if you write oc-insert fanfiction and your character is SMARTER or MORE EXPERIENCED than the canon protagonists, i better see the pacing of the story highly accelerated.

especially if it’s a villain-of-the-week show where half the dialogue is exposition.

pick and choose. you don’t have to like any of them; i don’t give a fuck. some medis with representation are created only to appeal to the underrepresented, and fall short on all other metrics of good storytelling and production.

what you’re mad about is NOT the fact that media has been politicized, you are mad at the fact that social media has allowed you to SEE it that way. nobody likes consuming things critically because sometimes it takes the enjoyment out of it; or so they think, because it really DOESNT.

so you’re okay with your favorite movie having racist undertones because “that’s just how they thought at the time,” but seeing a gay POC as the protagonist in a movie is too much? it’s “politically charged?” the fuck it isn’t
