Idk if anyone even reads this blog but if so tw for a vent that’s negative about religion

I’m kind of tired of religion. I’m kind of giving up. Because no matter who I ask for help, they don’t do anything. They leave me to die, and I thought they were supposed to care.

When I found this religion, I thought it was different. I felt loved at first, I felt cared for.

But I don’t feel it anymore- Is it my fault? And no one helps me, no one protects me, no one’s done anything to get me out of this goddamn hellhole of a life and maybe I’m asking too much but I thought that gods were supposed to help maybe just a little bit.

This shit is what made me give up the first time.......That god never helped me, either. Not when asked and fucking begged.

A lot of people who go down this path end up not believing in gods...I still believe. And the thought that they just choose not to help hurts more than the thought that they might not exist at all.

I think my fear of abandonment carries over into religion......gods/goddesses keep reaching out to me, and I want to be an active worshipper and communicate with them, but I find myself feeling like it’s not worth it, like this is just a temporary thing and it won’t last more than a few months, they’ll just sop caring or something...so I kind of give up easily. It really sucks, I don’t know how to get past it :/

Oh thank you so much for wanting to search my blog! I don’t think I ever really talked about this topic and if I did it was likely awhile ago meaning it’s lost in the abyss that is the shitty Tumblr search function. 

Sooo I’ll answer it now!

The first thing is to have protections in place like wards and shields esp if you’re nervous about spirits. 

Secondly, never EVER ignore any discomfort, uneasiness, or general feelings of negativity you may experience when interacting with a deity. Trust your instincts! 

Thirdly, know that while gods are complex beings and not necessarily 100% benevolent, they aren’t evil. They’re not going to be unspeakably cruel for no reason or try to put you in harm’s way. 

And lastly, for gods you already have a relationship with so you know how they are around you, be mindful of any changes in behavior. Again trust your instincts when they tell you something doesn’t seem right or is off in some way!
