Shady Tree - Trade

Goals Unaligned

With Rose liberated from the clutches of Captain Cutter, it needs to be rebuilt. Vandelys wants nothing more to rebuild his home without losing its soul, and Cammy wants to help and support him in this endeavor. However, nothing is that easy. Cammy is no longer the lady she once was, and Rose nobility seems reluctant to accept her as she is now. She COULD put on airs and pretend to be someone she no longer is, but it is maddening to pretend to be someone else in her own home. It doesn't help that she finds parts of her old life hollow, loving the noble life but longing for simple things that she's been accustomed to now in her travels on the sea. Besides that, because Rose does not want her as she is, her mere presence undermines what Vandelys is trying to do. And she loves him too much to be an anchor for him. So, the best way to support him, at least for now, is to let him go. He understands, of course, but it does not make the parting easier.
