Almost there!

I had to remove all my work from G Drive because of their AI ish, so i took a little writing break as I came up with a cloud based alternative. Now i'm back at it and the little hiatus I think helped immensely. It allowed me to cut out some of the stuff i was trying to say and go with that I NEEDED to say. I have one scene left to write and chapter 4 will be ready to proofread and then post :) Sorry for such the delay. I hate having unfinished work out there but it is what it is!

Snippet from Chapter 4 of “God Forgive My Hunger”

I don’t want to give too much away, so it’s a short snippet but...look! I promise I’m working on it. SEE. LOOK WITH YOUR  EYES!

Lucifer takes a deep, stirring breath and awakens from his sleep to the feeling of a heavy weight on his chest. His eyes peel open in the darkness only to find the darkness staring back. Chloe straddles him, his limbs already numb, immobile. 

How is that possible?

“Hi,” she whispers innocently.

“Detective,” he says, doing well to keep the confusion and fear out of his voice, “what an unpleasant surprise.”

She frowns, leaning back slightly. “Unpleasant?”

“Well, you have to admit waking up to a demon sitting on your chest is quite startling, even for the king of hell.”

She looks away from him and his eyes flick down to the red dress that hangs from her like sin. She’s not wearing a bra.

“Hmm. Yes. I can see how that might be…unsettling,” she offers before turning her attention back to him, her head tilting in amusement. “Would you like for me to get off of you?”

He tries to twiddle his toes and is met only with the static incoherency of nerves in slumber. “Somehow I gather that isn’t an option.”

It’s about how you use it.

I wanted to post this on my Twitter, but I recently removed myself from that flaming dumpster pile. So I’ll post it here instead for anyone using google docs to write their creative works.

Google is testing the waters on new initiative to include an AI bot into Google Docs. I would caution anyone against hosting their stories, drafts, etc on Google Docs anymore as the whole AI thing contributes to plagiarism and theft of creative works. It's an extension of what the Writers’ guild is striking to prevent.
