WebGL Water is a great water simulator, with a sphere that can interact with the water’s surface. It can be paused which means you can then use it as a reference for lighting, reflections, refractions, etc.

hello i am here today to not lose track of the art cheats i have discovered over the years. what i call art cheat is actually a cool filter/coloring style/way to shade/etc. that singlehandedly makes art like 20 times better

What resolution do you do? And what do you do to put all of the frames together? Sorry for the bombardment of questions lol, I am working on programming a game and I love the art style you have.

hah no prob. I generally work at max of 400 pixels, the last one i did was 200x400. then for tumblr i usually export it out at 3 times the size, so it appears large when you click on it. To maintain the hard edges and avoid fuzziness in photoshop I usually do the following. Go to image>image size> then at the bottom of that box, click the drop down menu and select nearest neighbor. Also you’ll want to free transform something in your image and in the bar where you enter the transform info, on the far right, change interpolation to nearest neighbor. If you’re going to use the lasso tool, click the lasso tool and uncheck the anti alias box.

For the animation itself Photoshop is a bit clunky. I draw the image first, then separate any elements i want to animate in their own layers and groups. And once i begin animating I create a new layer for each bit of movement. 

 I usually use the frame animation feature. which you find by doing window>timeline. create video timeline, then in the lower left there are 3 boxes you click. then i just set up a set number of frames, usually about 20. Then I animate everything in that same file.

Made a little Tas sprite for my original story Iron! He was a real pain in the ass, and I’m not 100% sure i’m happy with it. Long story short, people aren’t my forte.

But here’s the lil navy blue boy! It’s a bit hard to do his hair because it’s navy blue and white, which looks weird on anyone, but in pixel art I just don’t know how to do it justice.
