So, trying to remake HGS is a bit hard cause it's a delicate line between adding some changes and just making a whole different story with different characters that happens to have the same name

I'm trying to let the beginning of the story stay the same for the most part, cause I'm trying to make a reboot not a rewritting or sm, but at the same time if I want to add lore and a conflict I have to change many things and even get rid of few characters

For example, aloe can't exist (at least not in lyngarth) or else she will kind of destroy the lore I'm writing for the elves, and if I were to add her her design will look different to fit in with my image of the snow elves

Also anise too is a bit awkward looking in the show, since she is a punk in a traditional magical world, and she isn't really needed as rosemary and sage have a dorm already, and she might not fit into the lore I have for sages family

With that being said, I may include her, but I really hate making big redesigns for characters (cause they don't feel like themselves if I did anything too big) so I'll have to think of a believable reason so as to why this punk girl is among peasant looking people

And that's just two characters who barely have a role in the show, and I have to try and fit every character to the lore of it's species and to the lore of the character itself and the rules of the world and it's magic (seriously the demon teacher is giving me a bit of a headache ugh) and not to forget to find a conflict (cause the show didn't have the time to show us much about the big bad guy) and I'm still not sure on what to do with slime boy or alastor

(seriously tho the way I will go about with slime boy's past will be the moment the story and it's conflict is set in stone)

Also I just suck at coming up with ideas for episodic adventures lol

#the characters and their relationship will change too #the characteristics will stay the same for the most part #just with more definintion #but the backstories will be played with #and boy do i have something in store for each of them #especially sage #also i dont like adding ocs that much but at some point ill have to if i want the story to work #but not till later on hopefully #the biggest issue is finding the moral i wanna share #cause a story without it is just a bunch of words mushed together #might be a beautiful mush but a mush nonetheless #also im losing my art capabilities #high guardian herbs #high guardian spice #high guardian spice reboot

So think I'm going to go back to working on my high guardian spice reboot, since things are settling down and all and I have some little free time back

With that being said, the thing I'm working on the most right now is finding an art style, which is much harder than I expected and might take a while, cause first i have to see if i can draw it comfortably in traditional art, and then I'll have to try it digitally, and then experiment with colours and brushes and all, and then I gotta try it with dynamic poses and find a background style that can work for it

So yeah might take a while

horrific article from the bbc broke last about israel detaining healthcare workers, stripping them naked, and beating them for days on end. we already knew israel was doing this to palestinian detainees, but to be deliberately targeting medical personnel--doctors and nurses and medical assistants on the ground trying to heal wounded palestinians--and then literally torturing them are on levels of cruelty i can't even begin to compute.

a humanitarian law expert in this article calls the footage coming out of this "concerning." i call it the terms racists love to throw baselessly at arabs: barbaric and inhumane.

So sometimes when I don’t feel like drawing an actual drawing, or feel art blocked, I usually make a doodle/sketch page, where I draw whatever that comes to hand with a blank mind, or just try different coloring techniques and styles

Anyway this page that’s I’ve made for HGS have been filled, and it was fun drawing in it and coloring these characters, usually my doodle pages are more doodle like, but I felt like I should post something so here to go

All of these are characters in the show with slight differences in design and some headcanons of mine sprinkled in and I think I did nice on some of these doodle

Also thinking about the fact that at some point her experience and instinct won't be enough, not in a world full of magic users, strengthed individuals, shape shifters and the like

At some point, the others will learn and gain the experience they need, and while it won't be as good as hers, their abilities and magic will boost them up enough to surpass her leave her in the dust

She can't use magic as far as we can see, she doesn't exactly excel at studying, and isn't some kind of supernatural individual. She is just a teenage girl, and considering who her mother is, she probably have high expectations on her shoulder, what with her being the daughter of a legendary guardian and the current carrier of thowering thorn (which seems to be a big deal from alastor reaction)

So just what do you think will happen to this reckless self sacrificial idiot when her strongest point become the expected? What do you think will happen once she realizes that she is no longer enough? What do you think will happen when whispers about her and her mother spreads?

I don't know about you but the picture I'm imagining is not a nice one, cause this girl is allergic to asking for help or admitting weakness, and at some point that will make her vulnerable and desperate, and when vulnerability intertwines with desperatation the outcome is rarely beautiful

Rn thinking about how capable rose actually is compared to the others in the group

Like, the show try to make her out to seem stupid and dumb, and while she may be dumb academically, she is also the smartest one when it comes to fights and serious situation

Like, remember when they were fighting olive and everyone turned into stones? She was the first to realize that the people who turned into stones aren't dead, and went after olive because logically speaking, the person who cast a spell should be able to stop it/ break it.

Remember the episode with the mermaids and the dragons? Even though she is the goofiest of them, she knew that sage already had enough trauma from hurting the dragon, and any more can affect her more than she can handle, so she choose to kill the dragon her self, in a way that says "see this? Now the dragon blood is on my hand. It's not just you anymore" (and that's really speak of her selfishly selfless character but that's for another time)

And in the last ep, in the library, when her and thyme were fighting mandrake, and we're lost in the library, she was the one to yell to thyme to meet her in the section that have the first letter of her first crush, and it would have worked if olive didn't read her diary

Like, seriously she is the most warrior like of the group, the first to go for the kill, and while she is still inexperienced and reckless, that just mean there is more room for her to grow

I just think her character is more than meet the eyes, and as of yet she is stronger than the rest of the group even when she is the most human like, with no magic like sage, no plant controlling like thyme, and no super strength like parsley

#in a world where magic beings is the normal #and demons exist #and the fae probably #what do you think a desperate person will do?#what kind of deal will they make?#what part fo themselves are they gonna lose?#the potential for this wholw thing #i can't #ugh i need more world building for this show #i need more lore #i wanna connect more stuff #high guardian herbs #high guardian spice reboot #high guardian spice #rosemary's character is the embodiment of a star bruning itself till nothing is left but a black hole #or sm like that #i don't know #i just know there is lots of potential for her #and thinking of ways for her to keep up are fun

Ya know, I kind of like it here on Tumblr

There is simply no expectations of me here, which makes me do whatever I wanna do

There isn't anyone I know here, no family members or friends or online friends (and I would like to keep it like that) which makes me feel free to do and say whatever, not afraid to ruin whatever image these people have of me

There doesn't seem to be any kind of social etiquette here, which means I don't have to worry about liking other people's posts or commentting on them.

No one even pats an eye for most things, and that's just so,,,, freeing

Neither me nor anyone have expectations of each other, which mean we have no "tasks" to do for each other, no benefits and no responsibility

We are just here to have fun and that's it. I like that

Alright, here is the dwarves race/class/species sheet

I even have a whole culture for different kind of dwarves but nothing is set in stones yet

Anyway I’m still not sure how a volcanic dwarf traditional clothing would look like, I have a vibe tho. If anyone have any ideas I will gladly hear ya out

For whatever reason, no matter what resolution I use for the drawing, it still looks pixelly unless you tap on it, does anyone have a solution for that?
