Some more crappy phone photos from last night although you won't know what it actually means to experience @kellermensch_official live until you have seen them on a way too tiny stage, running into each other, Sebastian hopping off stage and you dance limbo under his microphone cable when he moves around.

I always fail to find the words to put something together that others could understand what it is about them and their music that even after years and years of nothingness fron them, I was still waiting and hoping for more, the second album, more shows, one more time watching them live. Luckily they returned and are faster now.

Nathan Johnston & the Angels of Libra - "Curtis (do you wanna be a star?)"

A friend posted a little live snipped of this band and this song on Instagram the other day and all of a sudden everything felt just a lot lesser dull. Nathan Johnston's voice is just the smoothest I've heard in a while. I just wanna take a shower in it. The 60s soul inspired sound of Angels of Libra and Johnston just make a perfect match. I assume I'll listen to their upcoming s/t album on repeat - it'll released on the 4th of November 2022.

Keno - "Mach Mich Auf"

Keno has released is first solo single "Mach Mich Auf". I've seen him with his previous band Moop Mama a few times. Moop Mama is a brass band, so it's quite a contrast to the electonic melodies he presents on his first single. It also feels darker or colder, the tone of his voice, the flow and more focused on his voice. It'll be quite interesting to watch how his musical story will evolve and what will follow lyric wise as well. More self focused or more criticism of what happens in the world. We will see.

New favorite: Foraging with Jaws

A random encounter in a plane, a small search and tadaa - a little later I've found a new favorite past-time show that is in equal measures informative and fun to watch. Wouldn't have found it any other way. Pro Skateboarding is a world far, far away from my own.

The show is called Foraging with Jaws, following pro skateboarder Aaron 'Jaws' Homoki discovering a slightly different life from the life that he used to live. And following him, so do I discover something new. Seeing people foraging food in the desert of Arizona and making amazing looking food* or growing mushrooms I've never imagined existing. You know, the things and worlds that you probably don't see when you're a big city girl like myself. Highly fascinating.

And for the price of half a cup of coffee at Starbucks, you can support them on patreon - which you should. I want to see more. The season 2 or whatever they'll call it.

Folks! This is not a drill! Matt Andersen is touring Europe and I almost didn't know! How could this happen? I don't fucking know. Anyways. His music is so heartfelt. His live performances are beyond amazing. So much power even in the quietest of moments. My heart melted every time I saw him with his guitar. He doesn't need more than that to make you dance or cry. If you get the chance, see him live. My recommendations never disappointed you, did they?
