whenever robin and marian disagree ,  or even fight ,  robin always always ends up leaning forward or bending down .  he leans on his bow ,  or a wall ,  or a support but he always makes himself smaller .  he’s not that tall anyway ,  and there’s only a few inches between him and marian ,   but he makes himself smaller anyway because physically or not he does hold all power in their relationship    ( according to the world around them ,  he could ruin her reputation and through that her life in a hearbeat even though he never would )    but he loves her ,   he wants her to feel safe with him ,    so he makes himself smaller and less threatening so even when they’re fighting she’s never scared of him .
