Killua & Illumi’s relationship is complex and not typical.

Illumi plays a significant role in Killua's life, having been a dominant figure in his upbringing due to the dynamics within the Zoldyck assassin family and the fact that he is 12 years old than Killua. Illumi has often influenced Killua's decisions and actions, often manipulatively in hopes to give Killua the best chance at making the Zoldyck family proud. There are moments in the series where Killua expresses conflicting emotions towards Illumi, ranging from fear and hatred to compassion and mercy. There are instances that suggest they were close and caring towards each other in years past. Illumi clearly states how he loves Killua and believes Killua loves him more than anyone. Illumi’s concept of what it means to show love is really messed up but its the only form of love and care he has known.

Haven’t posted a fanfic update in a while I’ve been super busy so I’m just gonna post the unfinished chapter and Internet people can give me feedback!

BLOODLINE Part #2

The moment after illumi steps out of the map-room he is already down the long hall, turning the corner to his room. He has forced his mind blank, something he does often. Its like a switch he flips in his brain, preventing him from feeling anything or thinking of anythings that could cause him to feel something.

Of course in reality his mind is far more complex but he finds the simple analogy works well enough.

Descending a grand flight of stairs and rounding another corner Illumi swiftly makes his way to his room. Room is an understatement, his so called “room” is actually 4 separate spaces: The Dayroom, the Bedroom, the Bathroom, and the Balcony.

When he enter's his quarters he heads straight to the balcony overlooking a well kept garden. The garden below is filled with every type of rose in the known world. Illumi’s favorite are the monochrome ones. The root of each petal being the purest white, darkening gradually till the tips are singed the darkest black. Illumi nestled into his usual perch on the corner of the rail. One leg drawn close to his chest the other swinging down in a childish manner. Though subtle, this is a perfect example of Illumi’s constant internal battle between letting go of or holding fast to; control.
