Have you ever watched a movie from your childhood when you become an adult and realized a scene that was absolutely horrifying?
My kids are getting more into Disney movies and the other night, we watched Dumbo. When the pink elephants scene came on, my jaw dropped! How did that not scare me as a child!?
Imagine seeing a bunch of colorful elephant ghosts just floating around and changing shape and colors, seeing some turn into elephant snakes, seeing one with a body made entirely out of elephant heads! What were these writers thinking!?
Also, the deaths of some of these villains are shocking!
1. Scar from The Lion King is eaten alive by hiennas.
2. Ursula from The Little Mermaid gets impaled.
3. Clayton from Tarzan is hung from tree vines.
4. Gaston from Beauty and the Beast falls to his death.
We were allowed to watch this as children! What's a movie you remember that can be seen as terrifying now as an adult?

Creepypasta?
Tumblr media
What’s a creepypasta story that you love above all others or one that stuck with you? Jeff the Killer? Eyeless Jack? The Rake?
Mine has always been Candle Cove. If you're unfamiliar with the story, it's told from the point of view of various people in an online forum similar to Reddit. The people in the forum are talking about nostalgia and shows they remember watching as children, one of which was called Candle Cove. It would play at 4:00 pm on channel 58. The show was about marionettes and the main character was a little girl named Janice who would pretend to make friends with pirates. The pirate ship was called the Laughingstock and one of the pirates named Pirate Percy was always skittish and scared easily. The puppets seemed to be very low-budget and made out of other doll parts and were creepy looking to some of the child viewers.
One of the people in the forum recalls the villain called the "Skin-Taker" and his sidekick, "Horace Horrible." The Skin-Taker is described as a skeleton puppet with eyes too big for his head. His jaw wouldn't move up and down but would move back and forth. His clothes were meant to be stitched up in a disgusting fashion and said to be the skin of children. They all remember one episode of all the puppets screaming and howling and flailing about and it terrified them.
The story ends when one of the people mentions that they visited their mother and asked her about the show. The mother tells him that she always thought it was strange that he would tell her he was watching Candle Cove, but when she would check on him, he'd only be staring at static on the tv screen.
This stuck with me because I very vividly remember watching a show on television that I cannot remember the name of, but I know that it involved puppets and there was one that had tiny black eyes and green skin, but she didn't speak English, she spoke in her own language. When I asked my mom about it, she told me that I never watched anything like that on tv, and I used to stare at a blank screen. That always unsettled me.

What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie?🔪
No, really, what is it? Haha. October is the month that a lot of horror movies begin playing on television, but if you're like me and collect horror movies or constantly stream them on Neflix or Amazon Prime, you already know what your go-to movies are. So, what is the one scary movie that you find yourself coming back to again and again? For me, it's Silent Hill. I played the video games when I was younger, so when I saw that a movie was being made, I was more than excited! The movie was better than I hoped it would be. It was everything I wanted out of it. It was unsettling and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. What are you a fan of? Do you prefer B-rated films that aren't scary and more on the funny side? Do you love movies with the more gore, the better? Or do you prefer psychological horror that keeps you awake long after the movie is over?

Halloween 2020 Plans?
What's everyone's plans for Halloween?!
I'm a mommy, so my plans will be consisting of decorating the house and the yard with all the new things we've purchased, making spooky Halloween treats with my little goblins, carving out our jack-o-lanterns, watching all of their favorite scary movies, and then (safely) going trick-or-treating with them on Halloween night. Halloween will be a little different this year due to Covid-19, but I still want my little ones to enjoy a night that they rightfully deserve. We plan to buy the treat bags that have the extended handle and when we get home, their father and I plan to inspect all of it. Any candy found not in a wrapper will immediately be discarded. We will practice social distancing while walking along the streets and we will all be wearing our masks to protect ourselves and showing curtesy to others!
So, what are your plans for this month?

I've been a fan of true crime stories for as long as I can remember. Even when I was a young child, I would stay up late and watch shows like "Forensic Files" and "The First 48." I watched "Unsolved Mysterious" the way most kids would watch Pokémon, even though I also loved Pokémon.
I got into true crime stories about murder and serial killers a long time ago and the stories, while horrorible, were also fascinating to me. What drives a person to that point? What goes on in their minds? What switch goes off that tells them that they need to do these horrendous things to other people? Why do they do it? What caused them to turn out that way? Is it how they were raised or is there something different about how their brains are wired? So many questions!
Maybe I'm just weird to think about these things, haha. Do you like true crime stories? If so, what sparks your interest?

The Halloween season is fast approaching us! October is the month I cherish most because the closer it gets, the more my soul comes alive. The spark of creativity in me explodes with ideas for costumes and projects. This is the year where the weather is not to hot or too cold. The leaves are changing colors and the wind is crisp with a scent of pine and sandalwood.
My favorite things to do are Halloween decor shopping, crystal hunting and fabric shopping. I love adding trickets to my ever growing collection. I have various skulls and cauldrons throughout my home and I'm always adding new things to my altar. I also enjoy baking all my favorite fall treats, like apple pie and pumpkin pastries! When I want to relax, I snuggle in my Halloween pajamas and drink tea while watching horror movies. It's the perfect ending to my day.🖤🔮💀🕸

“ I don’t know what kind of hell is waiting for me there, but I’ve got no other choice. I don’t care about God or Paradise… If that’s what she believes in then fine. But she won’t get away with what she did. When I find her, I’ll kill her myself. “ > https://www.facebook.com/shikitycosplay

My Halloween cosplay, Rui Kagamiya from Fatal Frame 5! I love this game so much!
Made this in a rush so I could shoot it before Halloween, and it was a struggle, but I’m glad I did it, and I REALLY love how these photos came out, considering I somehow chose the absolute BLACKEST night to shoot in, poor @inoliimages had a really hard time but dang she pulled through as good as ever :D
